SPEP stands for serum protein electrophoresis. It is a simple way of analysing the major immune proteins in the blood. In this case it has detected the presence of a small amount of immunoglobulin G (one of the proteins that antibodies are made from) which is all the same as opposed to the normal finding of a broad spread of different versions. This is quite a common fining for example being found in around 3% of people over the age of 50. Lambda chains are one of the subunits of immunoglobulin, the other being called kappa. The slight excess of lambda confirms the excess of one version (monoclone) of immunoglobulin. Usually the presence of small bands like this does not indicate the presence of underlying disease. Sometimes they occur as temporary findings eg after viral infection. Ocassionally they signal or precede serious disorders of the immune system including lymphoma and myeloma. Further testing organised by your physician should help exclude the latter possibilities. Like a previous nearly identical question on Quora with what looked like good answers.How can you convert an INDD file to PDF?Apparently Adobe InDesign can EXPORT directly to PDF. And why not? They created both formats.
