Date - 14th March 2021Venie -VC NOW Video conferemce center, GurugramCAT 2020 Percentile - 99.63.My reporting Time was 1 o'clock and because it is my dream college I reached there 1 hour early and was told to come at the given time only 😅Then there was temperature check and oxygen level test. We were alloted different panels and slots. I was last in my slot. Within 30 mins we were called for the AWT test whose topic was Multiplicity of Boards in the country should not be there. We were asked to state the assumptions, reason for the statement and counter points for the same. It was taken in batches of 3 and 4. In my case three students including me were there. We were asked to submit the test after 20 minutes. After that we were asked to wait in the waiting room until our turn for interview as per the slots we were allotted came. The wait was really long and as I was last in my panel, my turn came around 5 and I was the last in all the panels to leave the waiting room.After the wait of another 10 minutes when the interview of last second person in my panel ended, I was taken to the interview room. I was very nervous and tired at the same time.As I entered the room I was asked to sit down and on the large screen ahead were sitting 2 panelists (both males,P1, P2)Me: Good Evening Sir ( Greeting both of them)P1,P2 : Good EveningP1- So what are you currently doing DevMe- sir I am currently pursuing BCom Hons from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of DelhiP1- Okay So you are in your Final year ?Me- Yes SirP1- Which is your favorite subject from your degree?Me( expected this ques😆)- Sir, Personal Tax PlanningP1- Okay so how many people in India pay taxes ?Me- Sir, Around 4–5% people file Income tax return but the people who pay taxes are around 1% only.P1- Isn't filing ITR and paying tax the same thing ?Me- Explained they are different.P1- Okay. What revenue does the govt. get from the income tax ?Me- Sir taking govt revenue around 30 Lakh crores and income tax providing 17% of that comes out to be around 5 Lakh crores.P1- Okay. How many slabs are there for income tax?Me - Sir there are two regimes for the same.Then I counted and told the no. Of slabsP1- Why has govt announced the new scheme?Me- Sir to give tax relaxation to people who are in normal income range and don't make much investment.P1- Doesn't it gives away govt revenue ?Me- No sir, as majority of tax collection is from people im higher tax bracket, loss of revenue will not be much ?P1- So who should choose the new scheme?Me- Sir, the one who doesn't make any investment and doesn't has any education loan etc etc.P2- As the no. Of tax payers are low what should govt do to increase its tax revenue?Me- Expained the reason for low tax collection.P2- Why is this so ?( On me saying govt don't go after small tax evaders )Me- because the government don't I want to trouble people with low income. Because the percentage of the value that we get from them is low as well.P2- ok Dev so tell me Punjab and Haryana, because you are from haryana only,( I though the farmers protest question was coming and was super happy but “Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost"😂😂), why do they share the same capital ?Me - so because Haryana got separated from Punjab on 1st November 1966 and both states were saying that Chandigarh should be given to them. So considering the values of both the states Chandigarh was made a UT and declared the capital of both the states.P1 - Okay so does any other state formed at that time?Me - Sorry Sir I don't know the answer of this question .P1- so how many states does India have?Me- (being in double minds between 28 and 29😂😂) Sir 28.P2- So is Delhi a state?Me- No sir it's a UTP2- Then why it has a CM ?Me- sir I don't know the exact reason but I know that there are two types of UT's, one with legislature and one without legislature and I told tgat one has CM and the other doesn't.P1 -Are there any other states like Delhi.Me- No sir I dont think so.( Later noticed that recently a UT was , one of JK or Ladakh, were the same.)P1- Okay Dev. Talking to P1 sir I am done if you want to ask something.P2- No No. SO DEV you can leave.Me- thank you sir it was great experience talking to you.( I stood up and was out of frame)P1- Same here Dev and yes take a candy from outside as well.As I was out of frame I bent a bit( very awkard it was 😂) and when I say I was in the frame I said thankyou. They both were smiling.Then I left the room. They served tea and sandwiches in the waiting room both of them were 🤐😂. I am a foodie and was hungry and right after exiting the building ate a Burger King whooper 😂.Was a good experience and I think it wa average.Thanks for reading 😘.

Date: 8th February 2018, BangaloreThe interview process was very well organised. We were asked to sit in a room, arrange our documents in a given order, and wait till they call us for Document Verification. After the Document Verification (which lasted for not more than 45minutes), Panels were assigned to us in groups of 8, each panel having 2 panelists.Panelists were handed over the list and the documents, and called out their respective students group. We were taken to the WAT\GD room.Topic: Should India have Presidential form of government?It was a 15 minutes WAT exercise followed by GD on the same topic for 10minutes. The GD went fairly well.Interview:P1: Hi Vaishali, please have a seat. So in the GD, you seemed to be more inclined towards the Parliamentary form of government. Can you tell me a country (Other than US), which has Presidential form of government?Me: (after thinking for a while) I am not sure, sir. However, I guess Germany. (Wrong Answer)P1: and who is the President of Germany?Me: Sir, Actually I am not very sure about my answer.
