I don’t even understands the terms of my own existence!So yes- when I am like completely utterly depressed, the first thing I do is call my credit card companies and request PDF versions of :“Your Agreement With Us - Credit card - Terms and Conditions”.I call American Express, Visa and MasterCard for starters!.I ATTEMPT TO READ THEM FIRST …..SIKE!I just pick a few lines from anywhere in the middle of each paragraph just enough to confuse and scramble my thoughts before I call a company REPRESENTATIVEThen I DIAL - 1–800-AMEX-HELP (American Express)ME: Hello, is this American Express? (Really? Really? “is this American Express? !)I was reading My Agreement With You, the TERMS & CONDITIONS for the credit card you issued me and am having problems understanding the fine print. Can you please help me read them and understand them? I’ve read them quite a few times and am still very confused. I would appreciate your help young man in understanding them. Please be patient with me young man. I have seen some pretty good scams where someone actually created a web page for a Warrants look up and a police department page everything checks out BUT the information was actually bogus when you go to the JAIL to ask the Officer to run your Drivers license nothing pops up on NCIC. Pretty scary scam starts with a PHONE CALL from a nice LEO telling you to give yourself up and things go smoother.Best case is to take the call write down the information then call 911 and ask for a radio car or go to a REAL police station and ask them to run your ID to verify the information and then give them all the details you copied down. If it is real then you just made it easier on them if it is fake then you just alerted them to a huge scam so they can log it. Do it in PERSON that is the key.SCAMMERS are getting smarter just yesterday I got an EMAIL from the American Express credit card payments statement the PDF was pretty convincing.Great where is my card because I have never had a Amex Card before.Looks like they took a real statement and put my information on the top amazing what you can gleam from the internet. since it is all PUBLIC record and out there for any SCAM to be perpetrated using.If the Powers would make all that PUBLIC information Restricted SCAMS would slow down a lot.
