An "archive post" feature wouldn't really provide any benefit to the user, and doesn't really make any sense. Google+ is basically a blog—what would the point be of archiving blog posts? How would it differ over deleting?Like Facebook and Twitter, posts just get pushed further down their timeline. But it's important for historical and user experience reasons to not have an archive feature. All of the links and references (notifications, reblogs, search results, etc.) to that post become dead.I can't think of any benefit it would provide.I do agree that Twitter has an archival issue. I've heard from many times that people want the ability to search their own posts. It's very difficult to do. This is one advantage Google+ may have in the future. Since they're a search company, there's no doubt that they'd do this well. For example, Google Web History and Google Realtime Search allows you to go back to a specific date or time range to find content. This could easily—and most likely will—be applied to Google+.
