This is not an exaggeration, it is reality and what MUST happen to US tax rates to have universal medicare/healthcare. (taxes are forceably taken, don’t pay, go to jail)Corporations desperately want medicare for all or universal healthcare in the US.The corporate elite will make SOOOOOO much more money not having to pay for nearly or more than 1/2 of healthcare costs for their employees.Under “medicare for all” or “universal healthcare” in the US, nearly half of healthcare costs will fall OFF the rich corporations and ONTO the middle class average citizen in the form of very high taxes.Universal government run healthcare for all means the rich corporations get even richer, while the middle class is forced into a lower class lifestyle to pay the taxes.Everyone would be required to have exactly the same healthcare, run by government bureaucrats and number crunchers, not healthcare professionals.Right now people who are not elite/not wealthy/not prominent are being denied curative care and given great palliative care under universal healthcare, because they are not worth enough to society or productive enough to society to spend the money on to cure.In another question, I read where a women told of her sister who was denied curative care under her universal government run healthcare, because she had a menial job, and was over 55 when she got sick with a disease that is curable, but expensive to cure, they denied her the cure and gave her lots of pain meds (palliative care).FYI: Medicare is NOT free for anyone, see links below.My answer:Would I vote to improve medicaid to help those who can’t work and for children in need, in my state, YESMedicare for all NO, especially since some Democrats have said that under medicare for all no one would be allowed to purchase Medicare Part B, private supplemental plans. Trump gone, but before we get into a death spiral of angst over resignation and impeachment, we should cast a glance at the calendar. It is now February of 2019. There are by now 30 or 40 Democrats who feel ready to be President, and the election is less than 20 months from now.Barack Obama has supplanted Bill Clinton as the emotional leader of the Democratic Party. It would be foolish to imagine that he would not care about Democratic ideals and policies, and absurd to think he would not want to be in the forefront of campaigning for Democratic candidates. Of course it is ethical for Barack Obama or anyone else to work for what he believes is good for the nation.
