What Makes Usi Different: Fill & Download for Free

Caution :Quite long but worth a read !!!No pictures at all!!!!I am used to writing answers on UPSC preparation and exam .But walking down the memory lane brings back some things, which skipped my attention at that time .You may call it some connection or may be telepathy ,that I got a call from someone two days back who had been a witness of my UPSC journey.I was in touch with him till two years back ,until I lost my contacts somewhere in 2018 ( so couldn't retrieve all the numbers after that ,I guessed I missed some important ones too ).Now you will be surprised to know that the call was from “A Rickshaw Puller “ .Yes you read it correct !!!Don't rub your eyes ! His name is Arjun Singh , met him in Delhi ,in Old Rajinder Nagar ,when I was staying with a friend in 2015(You can get the context from my earlier answers).Since I travelled from ORN to IOCL office at Green Park daily by metro ,many a times I took a rickshaw from the congested place in ORN to the metro station .So this gentleman Arjun ,after a couple of days he started standing right in front of our building (I never had to bargain ,he always took 20Rs ).Days passed by ,I got to know he was from Chapra (Bihar ), had a family of 5 (wife,2 daughters ,one son).At that time I was in probation in Railways (people don't believe that you are an officer if you are loitering on a rickshaw 😂 society !!!).Later on, when I shifted to my own room in ORN ,I gave him a job to bring tea for me in the morning (He took 500Rs for this !! In ORN , you can get everything done if you offer the right amount of money ).One fine day he didn't turn up ,I called him, he didn't reply(I become furious when I don't get tea ) . After 4–5 days , he called me and told that he had gone to his native place( as his mother died).He told me that he was busy in the rituals and also how he was having trouble with the ration card and other “sarkari" things , so would be back in a few days . I asked him to give the details .I contacted a friend who got his work done .After this when he came back , everything was back to normal .But now he had realised that “MADAM " is really a “BADKA ADHIKARI " (big officer)😂😂.However ,after not being able to clear prelims in 2015,I abandoned the place; although he was in touch till then (once or twice he asked me get his ticket confirmed ) .When I came back to Delhi for Prelims 2016 ,I again “employed " Arjun for tea in the morning (now rates increased to 750/-).When I was preparing for Mains in 2016 ,I clearly remember in October Arjun came to me at 8 am (usual time) and he fell down at my door.I called the ambulance ,got him admitted to the hospital (although at the back of my mind I was just thinking how will I make up for this time ).His BP had risen abnormally high and so he fell unconscious.Two days later he was back to work ,with my morning tea . Usually during mains ,we are so much into ourselves that we don't even give a damn to anyone around .His worried face went unnoticed in that .But one day ,he finally said:Arjun:Madam Ji ,main bohot pareshan hun (I am very tensed)Me:Bhaiya ,paise chahiye ?(Do you want money ?)(I feel ashamed now as I recall this statement of mine as how I compassionate I was back then )He:Nahi madamji ,meri ladki ko apse milvana hai (I want my daughter to meet you )Me:Bhaiya ,abhi exam ho jaaye phir mil lungi (I ll meet her after the exam)Him: Madam Ji ek baari mil lijiye (Meet her once )Me:Bhaiya ,itna urgent hai kya ?Bohot padhna hai mujhe(Is it so urgent ?I have a lot to do)Him:Madam ji ,us din tabiyat usi ke karan kharab hua tha (I was not well because of her)Me:(puzzled):Acha ?Kya hua ?(Ok ,what happened)Him:Madam Ji ,meri beti 10vi mein hai ,bohot din se baat nahi kar rahi thi ,humko laga padhti hai ,hum dinbhar ricksaa chalate hain .Gharvali kaam karne jaati hai .(Madam my daughter is in 10th class,she's not talking to us since last few days ,we thought she was busy studying .Me and my wife work hard the entire day )Me:Hmmm…phir ?( Ok ,then ?)Him:Madam ji vo us din ek ladke ke saath bhaag gayi thi .Tution ka bolke gayi aur baad mei pata chala ki vo uske saath chali gayi .(Ma'am she eloped with a boy ,she said she as going for tution but we came to know that she ran away )Me:Now shocked :Phir vapas aayi ?Ladke ko jante ho ?Police mei report likhvai?(Then ,is she back ?Do you know the guy ?Did you file an FIR ?)Him:Madam vo ladka mere gav ka hai ,uske school ke aage khaane ka saman bechta tha .Main bohot mana kiya madam usko .Din bhar mehnat karta hun .Meri ladki meri baat nahi manti .Aap bus ek baar usse baat karo madam .(That boy is from my village ,he used to sell food near her school.I work hard the entire day .I had told her many times ,she doesn't listen .Please talk to her once )Me:Interupting him:Thik hai aap lekar aao kal !(Ok ,bring her here tomorrow)Him:Thik madam ji .Aap samjhana madam main kitna mehnat karta hun .(Please explain to her ,how much do I toil)Me:Thik hai aap kal le ana !Koi dikkat nahi !(Ok bring her tomorrow,no worries)He went away and I was left thinking as to how will I speak to her .Like what will be the questions or how will I begin my conversation with her .Then in the evening ,I thought if I clear the exam and such kind of situation arises how will I tackle it .This is a rehearsal for the same .Next day ,the bell rang.I opened the door and there he was with his entire family (along with a kid of around 3 years who spearheaded to my books and started disturbing all the things around ).I made them all sit in the apartment common drawing room and gave them snacks (I had already taken permission from my flatmates ).Then I took the girl (Kajari was the name his father told me)with me in my room .She came and started looking all over the room.I lectured her for around 45mins about how his father and mother are toiling everyday and making money for her studies etc etc (can't write as it will make the answer all the more long ).At last she asked me one thing “Yeh kiski photo hai ?(Whose photo is this ?) ." That was my parents’ and brother's picture and I had it from college time .She said “Aap inki saari baat abhi bhi manti ho?Papa bata rahe the aap bohot bakda adhikari ho ! (Do listen to everything they say till now ?Father was telling that you are big officer ).I replied “Main kitni bhi badi ho jau mummy papa se badi kabhi nahi ho sakti “(However big I become I can't be bigger than my parents ).I have no clue what struck her ,she told Arjun to leave .After that, I kept asking about her to Arjun .Things were on track .She passed her 10th board with good marks and took Mathematics in 11th class .After 2018 , I lost contact with them .Recently two days back I received a call from Arjun .He told me he got my number from my friend with whom I used to live earlier .I asked him about his daughter .And guess the best part of the conversation “Madam Ji ,Kajari ka callege mein ho gaya ,usko apke jaisa banana hai .Aap usse ek baar aur baat kar lo ji .”(Kajari git admission in college ,I want to make her like you .Please talk to her once more).I was in tears .Later I called her and to my surprise she is in a Govt Engineering college in UP pursuing her Mechanical engineering.I have promised her to guide for Civil services 😁Ah Serendipity!The peace ,the happiness ,the satisfaction can't be explained .Now this is happiness !!!😊😊😊Learnings :1)Small advices may make huge differences in many lives.2)Your rehearsal for a role can start before the actual performance. 3)Education without giving back to the society is meaningless 4)Charity begins at home 5) When your plants bear fruits ,they are the sweetest of all .

Who inspires me?A Sweet seller. Yes you read it right a sweet potato seller inspires me.( Image source: google)So, today me and my Maa (mother) went to the market and after buying all the items we were going home then I saw a sweet potato on a stall. And i asked my Maa to buy them for which she agreed. We thought that we will eat them at home.Maa : bhaiya inhe pieces me kaat kr hi pack krna. ( bhaiya cut them into pieces)Me : Maa why are you saying pieces may be he did not understand.Maa to bhaiya : Bhaiya kahan tk pde ho ? (Till what class you have studied)Bhaiya : Ji mai B.Com kr raha hu or usi ke liye yeh bechta hu. (I am pursuing BCom)(Trust me i was so embarrassed)Maa : yeh sbke baad tumhe pdne ke liye time mil jata hai? (So you get time to study after work?)Bhaiya : Ji mai apne mummy papa se paise nhi leta hu padhai ke liye. Mai pdhai krne ke liye hi yeh beachta hu. Mai apni class me topper hu. (Actually i don't ask my parents for my fees. And i do this for earning money. And i am topper of my class)Maa : Toh fir BCom ke baad kya karoge ? (What you will do after BCom)Bhaiya : Ji B.Ed, uske baad teaching line m jana hai. (I will do B.Ed and then become a teacher)Maa : Aap or kisi exam ki tyari kyun nhi krte ?(why not you prepare for a exam like Bank PO?)Bhaiya : Ji vo kyinki usme tym lgega or abhi ghr me paison ki jarurt hai. Vo toh mai 1 br naukari lagg jaun uske baad bhi kr skta hu.(it will take time and my family need money now)Maa : bohot aache beta. Aache se pdhna. (very good beta, study well )And then he gave Maa the packet and we went home.The thing that strike me about him was he is not dependent on anyone he understand his family condition and started a stall of sweet potato. And the whole time during the conversation he was smiling. He is a topper of his class i mean how appreciative this is that even after working he study so hard. And he didn't want to wait for job whatever it is he want to do it for the family and for himself.His smiling face inspires me.He has talent, he has that potential, he has that will power the only thing he didn't have is money. And for that he is working hard.After meeting him I realised that there are two sides on one side, how we force out parents to buy us many foolish things, and some of them are not affordable to them. But they do not show it and buy that thing for us no matter what. And on the other side how he work hard to earn money for his studies and not ask his parents for a single penny.Thanks for reading.I welcome suggestions.
