Article 15 Army: Fill & Download for Free

I was in the Army stationed at Fort Lewis Washington in 1972. During this time I received two article 15’S. The first one was when I was on overnight barracks duty and the Master Sergeant told me to take the trash can next to his desk out to the dumpster and empty it. I went over to get it and it had only one piece of crumbled up paper in it. I pointed this out and he said that’s an order take the can out. I reached down into the can picked up the paper and went outside and threw it away. The next morning I was called into my CO’S office and given an article 15 reducing my rank one level for disobeying a direct order. After some time I got it back. The second one was when I was walking down a sidewalk and there was 4 soldiers pulling off the back of a pickup truck a big heavy roll of concertina wire or razor ribbon with heavy gloves on. A lieutenant that was supervising then called me over and ordered me to get under it and use my back to help lift it off the truck. Not wanting to rip my back apart for their unplanned adventure I politely declined. This resulted with another article 15 and another reduction in rank. As far as it being serious I did lose pay but that was it. I was still discharged Honorably and none of this stuff is on my DD214. I have used my VA to buy my first home and also have VA medical. Looking back it was worth it ignoring stupid orders and I would do it again.

This belonged to one of the cooks in the 311th Military Intelligence Battalion mess hall. The staff of the mess hall was a bunch of soldiers who were cooks, and a bunch of civilians who were dining room orderlies, warewashers and janitors.And one of the civilians lived to fuck with the soldiers. She would just jump in our guys’ shit for no reason whatsoever.On to the Article 15: Our guy was standing there cooking away in the kitchen when this walking nightmare came up and started screaming at him about a mess he didn’t make (because he hadn’t been in that part of the chow hall all day) and ordered him to clean it up. The guy just looked at her. “That’s not my mess, and it’s your job to clean up messes, isn’t it?”So, she pokes him hard in his bony chest and starts screaming “you clean up that mess right now. You clean it up or I’m going to the colonel and get you kicked out of the Army!” (Apparently she didn’t know the colonel very well. Cactus Jack McGuinness wouldn’t have kicked him out of the army just for not cleaning up a mess in the chow hall kitchen even if he would have made it.) He ripped the glove off her pointy little hand and screamed at the top of his lungs, “I am not going to clean up a mother fucking mess I didn’t fucking make and you can’t make me. Get the fuck out of my face!”Believe it or not, it is legal to type the word “fuck” onto an Article 15 form. Because they did. IIRC he lost a week’s pay and got 14 days restriction.And then the mess sergeant went to the captain: “Sir, I think you punished the wrong person.” He explained all the shit that woman liked to stir up and what she did to cause our guy to go off.End result: the Article 15 stood, and they also fired the woman who instigated it.

This was witnessed by a sergeant I once knew, and it happened before the Army automatically kicked out anyone caught with drugs.One of my unit’s Ground Surveillance Radar operators liked to smoke weed. He bought a quantity of it and toked up in his room…without putting a towel across the bottom of the door. Someone from another unit walked past his room and smelled the weed smoke. He called the Staff Duty Officer, the SDO called the commander, the commander ordered the squad leaders to perform a snap Health and Welfare Inspection (barracks shakedown)…the guy got caught with his weed.An Article 15 hearing was scheduled. In comes the kid to hear his charges.“Private Snuffy, I am considering whether you should be punished under Article 15, Uniform Code of Military Justice, for the following offense: On (date and time) you were allegedly caught in your barracks room with two marijuana cigarettes.”Private Snuffy went apeshit: “Sir, I had a hundred dollars worth of dope! That motherfucker stole my dope!”The “motherfucker” got court-martialed. Stealing evidence is a vastly more serious crime than owning a lid of weed.
