I had a guy fight a ticket which had resulted in a use of force. The incident became a misdemeanor case which the defense kept postponing. The first time I testified in Pasadena Court was over a year after the arrest.At one point, during cross, the defendant’s criminal defense attorney asked me “Deputy Fellows, the defendant is charged with failure to obey an officer’s order to remain in the car, is that correct?”“Yes, the district attorney added that charge, correct.”“And if he disobeyed an order, that means you must have issued him an order for him to disobey, right?”“Yes”“I see. So Deputy Fellows, I’m going to show you a document. Do you recognize it?” (holds up copy of my arrest report)“Yes, it appears to be a copy of my arrest report concerning this incident.”“Indeed it is. Is it a complete and totally accurate account of what transpired?”“No report will be perfect, but it is truthful and accurately reflects what happened.”“So if you ordered him to remain in the car, that is something that would be included in the report, right deputy? I mean, that would be very important to note, right?”“Yes” (Okay, at this point I’m thinking how could I have not included that in my report? It was a fairly lengthy report, maybe 15 pages long for a fairly minor arrest)\At this point, he asks for permission to approach me from the Judge, who grants his request, and says “Deputy Fellows, I am now going to hand you a copy of your official police report, which you have claimed, under oath, is an accurate representation of the events that transpired on Colorado Bl that day. I’d like you to point out where, in what you claim is a complete report, you told the defendant to remain in his car.”I’m a little worried at this point. However, not to worry. I found exactly that, where I specifically ordered him to remain in his car, and after he exited, ordered him several additional times to return and remain in his car. He wound up telling me he was going to walk over to a nearby restaurant and I could contact him there to give him the ticket. He decided he was going to continue to the restaurant, and, well, a use of force occurred a moment later. He was uninjured by the way.I said “It’s right here, on page 8, starting on paragraph 2. Shall I read it for the court?”The look on his face was priceless. The defendant wound up eventually pleading “no contest” to the charge(s).They always say an attorney should never ask a question when they don’t already know what the answer will be. In this case I guess he just thought he knew.

But if it's truly lost and there's a chance that someone picked it up… it's probably gone forever.I'm guessing that your best bet at finding your bracelet is also the definition of a long shot: a viral spam campaign.Put together an image with the emotional story of the item (go heavy on sentimentality), some personal details, a contact address (maybe a special email address), and the promise of a reward. Share it on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram and request other people share it as well.Or…Commission a copy of the bracelet from a jewelry artist (having a detailed picture helps a lot), and add your new story to the bracelet’s history. This has happened after a series of events since December 2017.This is how the series of incidents unfolded-She had filed a police complaint in December 2017 for life threat from an unknown person. She was serving as SDM at that time.April 2018, she posted a video of her gunman sleeping in the car when she was traveling in her official car as SDM Dabawali. She posted this video on social media.June 2018, she complained against her senior an additional chief secretary level bureaucrat for using double meaning words and threatening to spoil her annual confidence report.She later requested an FIR against the senior inciting life threat. This issue has been pending in Chandigarh court.In December 2018 she had posted that the door of her Guest house was found open when she returned from other city.She had also posted a video on FB requesting people to show that video to Chandigarh court if something happened to her and her sister.So overall, it looks like a series of incidents which has made her decide to resign.The copy of resignation has been sent to the PM, President, Chief Minister and other relevant people.This requires a serious investigation because her resignation has raised hard questions on safety of IAS and IPS officers. Needless to say, they always are on the radar of some mafia. If they do not feel safe, how are they going to take action against them? The car which was arranged to send her from Chandigarh to her home town in UP has broken down midway. She has posted the video on social media-In my opinion, she should have avoided sharing her current location and vehicle details, this can impact her security which she is already concerned about.Edit 3 - her resignation has not been accepted by CM Manohar Lal Khattar. Krishan Pal Gujjar has expressed happiness about this.
