If you can’t understand the circumstances or what your choice of accepting or denying treatment means for you, we can bring you to the hospital. Some common reasons are low or high blood glucose, hypoxia, high fevers, substance abuse (whether intentional or not)We may also transport you against your will if you are in police custody, if you are a ward of the state, or if you’ve signed away your right to choose by giving someone medical power of attorney.So, if you aren’t fully alert and oriented, too sick to know what’s going on, unconscious or in custody, you may not have a say in it.
