What does “invoice process” mean?

Invoice process refers to the entire process of handling a supplier invoice, from its receipt to when it has been updated in the ERP system and is ready for payment. An invoice can be received in different formats-paper, PDF or e-invoice, most of the vendors send directly to accounts payable. Once an invoice has been submitted to AP department they take the following actions:• Perform the matching process, in which invoice matches with an open, posted purchase order (PO).• Reviews the supporting documentation. If applicable, AP reviews supporting documentation to verify that the order complies with the guidelines.• A/P department place invoices under “I” (incomplete) status when can there is any discrepancies, mismatches, incomplete documentation etc., in the invoiceReceiving, verifying and tracking invoices can be a complicated process and involves many steps that are crucial in maintaining the financial records. Adopting the automation for it could be a relief to your business but still to operate that particular software for your business invoice processing requires a skilled person. In such scenarios, outsourcing is the viable option as it allows you to concentrate on your business activities by managing your invoices efficiently.

Why didn't the QUIC protocol become popular?

I can think of several reasons…It’s still an experimental protocol. Most folks are hesitant to adopt rapidly-evolving protocols for production use. It’s not a simple drop-in replacement. Besides the “learn a new API” issue, I mentioned in Adrian Ho's answer to How is the Google QUIC protocol better than TCP/IP? that the overall QUIC design is Web-centric. Other application areas that want to take advantage of QUIC may require a non-trivial amount of rearchitecture and additional provisioning (e.g. mandatory server certificates for encryption). It could swamp your network. APNIC did a QUIC-vs-TCP characterization study in 2017, published a paper (PDF) and summarized their findings in a blog entry. They thought QUIC had promise, but highlighted one troubling finding. From the blog:We expected that QUIC and TCP should be relatively fair to each other in our tests because they both use the Cubic congestion control algorithm. However, we found this is not the case […], and when QUIC is competing with TCP flows, it prevents TCP from getting its fair share of the bottleneck bandwidth.Granted, Google may have already fixed this issue, but admins who’ve seen what out-of-control UDP traffic can do to TCP connections, are understandably wary of unleashing a potential crap-ton of hurt on their networks. It can underperform TCP in at least two important environments. APNIC found that TCP actually did better on jittery networks (packet reordering caused QUIC to assume lost packets instead) and mobile clients (APNIC guesses that it’s a userspace-vs-kernelspace performance issue). These can certainly be addressed, but most folks will wait till QUIC is proven to be a solid performance winner.TL;DR: QUIC isn’t popular because it’s not a slam-dunk viz. TCP—yet.Q: Why didn't the QUIC protocol become popular?

With all the BI (Business Intelligence) Tools out there, What strategy do find the most effective for productivity and mass adoption. A single tool environment or a multi-tool environment? What has work for your organization?

I can tell what we’re doing and where we’re heading; time will tell as to success. We’re a legacy Crystal Reports/Business Objects shop. We’re moving pretty rapidly away from BOBJ’s WebI reports and Universes, and before long from Crystal reports. What’s coming in is, first, Tableau. I can teach a user to build simple analytical visualizations on top of spreadsheets, and when they start wanting to make it available in Tableau Server I’ll work with them to stand up the data in a decent SQL table or mart, either static or with ongoing ETL. Far more functionality with less cost (effort) than BOBJ Universes and WebI reports. We have several power users outside the BI team already, and others are catching up. We’re very happy with this.Second will be to work through our remaining inventory of several hundred Crystal reports. Some will be retired, others will be migrated to SSRS (Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services) accessed through our corporate Sharepoint hub. The SSRS report writer app is easier to use than WebI or Crystal, and meets the 80/20 rule for us. Anything too complex for SSRS will be re-worked until it’s not, or be implemented on Tableau. Many current “paper” (PDF or Excel) Crystal reports would be better off as Tableau dashboards anyway. So medium cost, high-function dashboards, and low-cost, medium-function reports where tabular presentation is all that’s needed. Two tools with just a little overlap and complimentary strong suits. Both have simple, clean interfaces and relatively-accessible deeper tools for power users. For an under-500 organization that’s all we need and all we intend to support. That they are from different vendors is irrelevant.

I absolutely love how easy it is to pull a document and fill in information or sign and send back out. This is super simple for the constant paperwork I must complete.
