PDF Editor FAQ

What happens if you ignore the narcissist after the discard?

I blocked him for month after he had clearly thrown me in the trash. I know discards, been through things with this type too much. Didn’t plan to break NC ever, but the depression got to a point I’d began thinking I handled it wrong. He’d been calling a couple times a week on iPhone you can still leave voicemails while blocked but he never did. I knew it was him. When I unblocked him I sent him a text saying hi. He texted back quickly saying hi and wtf. I acknowledged I’d blocked him, said I needed time to myself. He asked to call. When on the phone call he sounded surprised to hear from me. That is was unreal, sounded relieved and happy about it. I said well you know after everything I just needed to focus on healing. He said “everything was good. You don’t just go from talking everyday to nothing. I reminded him matter of factly, not emotionally just business like fact, that actually things were terrible right before I went NC. He didn’t respond to confirm or deny that fact just went on only to say he couldn’t believe it, said he thought about me all the time, had been calling a lot from when it’d say blocked on caller Id. I said I know. He then asks when we can sex. I said I’m working on myself still trying to get myself healthy. He said he missed me. We wrapped up the convo but he then said I miss you (his name for me). Said I love you (his name for me). I found myself saying I love you. It sounded dead, empty. He asked me to repeat myself. I did and it just involuntarily still came out so formal, unemotional. He began texting off and on but I was a different person after all my depression and grieving during NC, and because I’ll never forget the hurtful and just completely psychologically and emotionally abusive treatment he put me through before. I would turn him down when he talked about us having sex or him borrowing money. I even told him when I was sick of that, that it was insulting and while I really love sex with him, I didn’t think it was the thing to do at this point in my state of recovery. Not sure how or if he cared to understand what I was recovering from. When he brought up money again another time, I got mad, and responded telling him that I am generous with those who I consider in my circle and I am generous for charitable causes, my generosity is a reflection of a human trait I value but that I haven’t felt appreciated. I’ve felt used. I also said that a real man doesn’t act like a bum or a bitch, they treat their love interests and wives and women in general who are kind and generous to them with respect, appreciation and they do their part too for that woman. Not that I’d ask money from him but it’s just a common gesture and behavior between close relationships to attempt variations of reciprocity. It’s wrong to have one who’s the sole giver and one who’s only a taker in a relationship.Didn’t hear from him for a week. He sent a random text saying yo. Then blocked me. Oh well.It is clear I’m not a resource for him anymore and so am useless to him.I’ve found the silence this time around peaceful. If we manage in the future some casual, emotionally detached text/call interchange it would always remain at that because I’m too worn out and self/life focused to let his needs be my problem anymore.I doubt it will be anything at all very soon. Or he will again find me to be a “useless” waste of his time and scamming abilities so whatever.Cried too many tears and hurt too many years for these quasi-Peter Pan fuckboys who believe their trash behavior will lead to the cultivation of their undefeatable God like superiority being world renowned and unmatched and envied forever. Lol silly rabbits, tricks are for kids. And N’s will never grow up.Oh well.Being Too worn tf out has been great for me. :)

How does Creative Commons define non-commercial (NC)?

The Creative Commons FAQ recognizes that the answer to this question is not always obvious. "Determining what does and doesn't constitute commercial use is not always easy."See http://wiki.creativecommons.org/FFAQThe FAQ goes on to recommend a study that dives into the question a bit more deeply. This study suggested that "uses that earn users money or involve online advertising [are] commercial, while uses by organizations, by individuals, or for charitable purposes are less commercial but not decidedly noncommercial. Similarly, uses by for-profit companies are typically considered more commercial." The study goes on to note that there are areas where classification can be difficult.See http://wiki.creativecommons.org/Defining_Noncommercial

How much does a wildlife rehabilitator make?

I often use these two photos whenever I give answers related to people inquiring about wildlife careers of various kinds:Both the picture above and the picture below shows people who are happy and wealthy. It’s just a different kind of wealth between the two.By far… most wildlife rehabilitators are volunteers. Paid positions do exist, however. The general annual pay range is between $20,000 and $40,000, with senior positions at large facilities having salaries of up to $75,000 per year. But those top-most jobs are administrative or fund-raising positions. The pay scales in wildlife rehabilitation depend on the resources and fundraising ability of each organization. On the other hand… as opposed to “earning” as a Wildlife Rehabilitator, you’d often be required to pay to be a Wildlife Rehabilitator. To even be a volunteer, you’re likely to have to pay for your own Rabies series of shots, and Tetanus shots. These are not cheap! You have to pay for your own gas to drive out, sometimes considerable distances, to capture and/or pick up wildlife patients to be treated. All Wildlife Rehabs need to be certified. Of course there are fees related to that. Some are state-run, some are large non-profits, and most are small private operations that depend entirely on donations. And if you don’t raise enough donations, guess who has to take money out of pocket for supplies? You can’t just say “Oops! I don’t have enough money to buy formula for the babies this month. Oh, well”. The patients are 100% dependent on you to deliver needed care, regardless of anything else. No excuses. Zip. Notta. Zilch.Various states in the US have widely ranging salaries for this work, as is the case for most jobs. If you have a position with a state-run rehab in North Carolina, for instance, you might be able to expect a mere $40,000 salary, or about $19/hr. That’s not poverty, but it’s pretty low. On the other hand… if you work for such a facility in Texas… your salary could well be considerably different than what you could earn in NC. In Texas, you would be more likely to receive a salary of about… $11 or $12 an hour! Psych! You thought it was going to be more than the measly NC salary, didn’t ya?! Nope. $40K is on the high end… if you’re able to get it.If you work for a large charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, they still rely on public financial support (and also often on corporate support from local businesses, who in turn receive good local publicity for doing so), so often there are various levels of paid positions. Someone who is CEO of such an organization might top out at the $75,000. A highly specialized on-site Wildlife or Avian Veterinarian might top-out at around $65,000 or so… far below a private practice Vet who treats dogs & cats. Here is a typical day of mine at a large charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit Raptor Rehab:In my wildlife career answers, I also like to include a link to a certain Wildlife Biologist who has a You Tube channel with dozens of highly informational and fun videos which give answers to almost any Wildlife Career question you could possibly imagine. I highly recommend checking them out. That link can be found in this other answer I wrote some time ago:Stefan Pociask's answer to What is the best place to get information about nature, animal, and wildlife careers like Wildlife Biology, Zoology, Ecology, Conservation, etc.?I don’t personally know the salary for this work in every state and every Rehab, but what I’ve provided here will give you the general idea. Can you earn money doing this? Sure you can. Most don’t, but it’s possible. To earn money in this field you need to first volunteer your time for at least a couple or three years, and then you could possibly be attractive to various Rehabs as someone who they’ll consider hiring on as a paid employee, if they happen to have a paid opening. Though, most don’t. If you happen to have some type of environmental college degree, you might be able to increase those odds.In closing, I will once again refer you to the two photos I posted up at the top. Those photos and what I wrote between them are really the bottom line regarding this question. It’s a decision you’d have to enter with your eyes wide-open, and a choice you’d have to make, dependent on what you want to get out of the experience of being a Wildlife Rehabilitator. Choose well… and good luck!
