One needs to be delusional to believe in the existence of soulmates and twin flames.We twin flames are born different. Most of us are born with a template of issues in the lineages to heal. We are treated differently and judged harsher maybe since our incarnation.We, the incarnated souls struggle to manage our overwhelming emotions to an extent that they impact others in our surroundings. Labeled as mentally sick/ abnormal are often put under psychiatric treatment.Many here, are prescribed a long list of prescription medicines that kills us further. Nothing works and years elapse by with no improvement in sight.Along within, we struggle to accept another beings presence in us. Nothing makes sense. Those not balanced, start believing they are insane and need to be in mental asylums.Their lives were already in a turmoil since they were born even before twin flame ignited them.Some pain and suffering in lives come in the form of blessing, to help us out when the ones with highest degrees in medical sciences are unable to.We go on an inward journey after being tired externally to search for ways to be free us of our so called abnormal patterns.And successfully we end up on a path of self healing not only us, but those around, who were struggling with issues that did not reflect in their behavior.Infact a twin flame ends up giving a degree of semblance to lives that were already in disarray. And we, who are living this experience do not need any psychiatrist or psychologists to second us.Looking back, I am glad that left with no options I walked blindly into this journey to search for myself after years without having any inkling of existence of twin flames. My life is more structured and makes sense to me than it ever was.

I think there are fundamentally 2 approaches which I would prefer to call the "Education approach" and the "Learning approach".The Education paradigm emphasizes acquiring a body of knowledge, “right” information, once and for all.The Learning paradigm emphasizes on learning how to learn, how to ask good questions, pay attention to the right things, be open to evaluating new concepts and having access to information. It emphasizes the importance of context.The Education approach is to treat learning as a product, a destination; and the learning approach is to treat learning as a process or a journey.The Education approach consists of a relatively rigid structure and a standard curriculum and a prescribed approach to teach, whereas the learning approach consists of a relatively flexible curriculum and belief that there are many different was to teach a given subject.The Education approach is often hierarchical and has an authoritarian structure. It rewards conformity and discourages dissent. The learning approach is egalitarian. Candour and dissent is permitted. Students and teachers see each other as people, not roles.The primary priority in the education approach is on performance, whereas in the learning approach, the priority is on self-image as the generator of performance.The Education approach emphasizes the external world. The inner experience is often considered inappropriate in the school setting. On the other hand, the Learning approach sees the inner experience as providing the context for learning. Through use of imagery, story telling, journals, exploration of feelings is often encouraged.The Education approach downplays the importance of guessing and divergent thinking, while the learning approach encourages them as part of the creative process.The Education approach often emphasizes the analytical, left brained and linear thinking. The Learning approach strives for the whole brain education. It augments the left brain rationality with holistic, non-linear and intuitive strategies. The confluence and fusion of the two processes are emphasized.The Education approach resorts to labelling ( remedial, gifted etc. especially in Singapore) and this contributes to a self-fulfilling prophecy. In the learning approach, labelling is used only in a minor prescriptive roles and not as a fixed evaluation that dogs the individual’s educational career.The Education approach is overly concerned about norms. In the learning approach, the concern is with the individual’s performance in terms of potential. It actively tries to test outer limits and transcending perceived limitations.The primary reliance in the Educational approach is on theoretical, abstract or “book knowledge”, whereas the in the learning approach the theoretical knowledge is heavily complemented by experiment and experience both in and out of the classroom.The Educational approach is often bureaucratically determined, resistant to community inputs; whereas the Learning approach encourages community inputs, even community control.The Educational approach seems to be increasing its reliance on technology ( computers, software, standard CBT models) whereas the learning approach uses only appropriate technology and the human relationships between teachers and learners is of primary importance.In the educational approach, the teacher imparts knowledge; it is a one way street. In the learning approach, the teacher is a learner too, learning from students.Finally, in the Education paradigm, it is seen as a social necessity for a certain period to inculcate minimum skills and train them for a specific role. In the learning paradigm, education is seen as a life long process and one that is only tangentially related to schools.From a policy standpoint, the educational approach (despite it being suboptimal) can still be improved if the teacher performance can be improved and results can be measured. What makes one teacher better at her job than another and how can best practices be shared? Technology enables analysis and is also the delivery mechanism. We definitely need to improve performance without spending a lot more. We need to maximise resources to best prepare the workforce. This may be the best option for the students in the primary school to even middle school.The learning approach is best suited for higher education. The system should be set up to provide room for individual experimentation to find a unique solution to each person’s quest. It is the symbol of intellectual multi-tasking. This is a more experimental, integrated search for a holistic view of the universe, one that has multiple access points. Each student becomes his or her own teacher.Keep poetry, world history and literature alongside mechanical engineering and agricultural studies. A discerning mind, one that blends science and Springsteen, is the backbone of the creative spirit.I wrote a policy paper for the HRD ministry when Kapil Sibal was the Education minister in the UPA government. Unfortunately it didn't elicit any response beyond an acknowledgement.As a faculty who taught MBA students and conducted several workshops both for MBA students and engineering students, my observation is that we have just produced a whole generation of students who have grown adept as exam takers and templates to organise their thoughts. I have interviewed hundreds of MBA aspirants who have never read even their engineering text books completely, forget reading anything like fiction or a book on history or anything beyond their domain. We have discretised learning and there has been no attempt to an integrated approach.In my discussion with various educationists of all kinds, I have found that while most agree that they should develop the learning mindset among students , few attempt to do so and often cite various impediments to do even the most basic of things. In fact I have come across educationists (teachers and administration) who have inadvertently even killed the learning instinct among students. I have concluded (with some misgivings of course) that the tipping point in changing the system has to come from better and broader teacher training and measurement.
