Anyhoo, here’s what you can do, which will work.Reach out to your supervisor, or the most senior colleague in your office, with whom you have a great relationship. Explain your situation and request if they would be willing to provide a reference letter on a plain piece of paper.Explain to them that there are no legal implications to them giving you this letter. Neither them or the company is liable if you don’t get the PR. It is not a certificate of employment, just a reference from a colleague attesting your employment. There is room for an appeal however, before I explain this to you, you better make darn sure it was a genuine mistake, and not some slimy trick to deceive the government because it will backfire on you.So, first things first, you need to request a letter of explanation for their decision. You need to make sure that you review that letter very carefully, and I advise speaking with a lawyer about it.Should they refuse you, you would have grounds based on a lack of procedural fairness, to fairly explain why you were deemed inadmissible and refusing an opportunity to correct any honest mistakes.From there, you must apply for judicial review, and do NOT argue why you should be admissible, but actually point out any legal questions aka questions of law, to support your claim of no procedural fairness. Be careful to follow all of the rules and guidelines and templates found on the federal court websites and then submit it accordingly, again, I must stress, if you can, obtain legal counsel, as you will be going up against the Attorney General Of Canada’s Office, and that is the big leagues. No room for error. Should your claim be found to have merit, a judge can grant a hearing, where you would be allowed to defend your position, and if the judge agrees, it can be sent back for re-review and possibly a chance to allow you to correct your mistakes.IF you willingly omitted or falsified ANYTHING, even the slightest thing, then do NOT go through this process, and just ride out the 5 years, as you will find yourself in far worse trouble and potentially inadmissible for life.

Yes you need experience certificates (that too in a specific format mentioning hours per week as well as roles and responsibilities) from all the present and past employers. However in practice, even if you get an experience letter, most likely it would be based on a standard template used by HR in the organization which wont match the specifications stated by IRCC (that was the case with me at least). In such a case, you can submit the following documents (for every employer) :experience certificate from employera letter signed by immediate supervisor (not necessarily on company letter head) stating you worked together from date X to date Y and your official roles and responsibilities were blah blah blahrecent pay stubs (I submitted pay slips from last 3 months for every employer)signed offer letter/joining letterscanned copy of office badge/id cardFinally attach a letter of explanation saying that since the experience letter provided by employer doesn’t fully meet the specifications laid-out by IRCC, you are submitting additional documents
