(Tldr - I'm combining my thoughts about 3 topics in this 1 response here i.e. 1. “how Meghan tried hinting that she was dating Harry before it was officially announced", 2. “what her long term agenda could be", and 3. “what should Megxit review focus on" so APOLOGIES for how lengthy this post is; I've broken it down into these 3 sections so feel free to read only the parts you're interested in).My thoughts on Meghan's long term agenda-Frankly, only Meghan can answer that question, I don't think even Harry might know the entire details…But a good indicator of what her long term plans MIGHT BE, come from what her past actions have been both pre- marriage and during her 2 years in UK, so I'm gonna try to list a few instances out in a chronological order and you can decide for yourself…— — — — — — — — — — —PART 1: MEGHAN HINTING ABOUT HER RELATIONSHIPMeghan tried so hard to provide not-so-subtle hints about her relationship with a Royal Prince through her Instagram posts for A LONG TIME before the royal family confirmed they were dating (done in Nov 2016), unfortunately she wasn't relevant enough for the public to notice or care, at least initially. Here are few such examples of her Instagram posts-1 July 2016- post with #London and a bunch of flowers, indicating she has a lover in London maybe? (Not to miss Gemvond’s comment, two down from her caption)2. 3 July 2016- her “kiss me" post with #London again, another cry for attention and speculation! This was later reported by Omid as a post put up by her just after her first date with Harry (if that's not a sign of desperation & a call for attention/speculation then I don't know what is!)3&4. July 2016- other posts in July on her Instagram that hinted at the fact that she may be in love or in a relationship are July 17th matchsticks shaped like a heart with the caption “Sunday kind of love" and again in July a cryptic post stating “the foolish wait".5. 31 Oct 2016- she posted bananas with “sleep tight” (this was around the time the rumors of them dating started, so clearly she was trying to validate the rumors!)6. First week Nov 2016- she posted a photo wearing bracelets similar to the ones Harry wears7. After Harry confirmed in Nov 2016 that they were dating, Meghan continued to post instagram/other articles about her relationship with Harry just so the world didn't forget they were dating, few examples being her “H&M necklace" (Dec 2016) and the “Wild about Harry" article (Sept 2016), apart from the multiple times she tried being seen together with Harry in public (jamaican wedding of Harry's friend, invictus games appearances, etc, too many to list) - all happened BEFORE their engagement was formally announced on 27 Nov 2017.Conclusion of Part 1: Meghan was desperate to keep her name linked with the Royal Family/Harry, she clearly didn't care for “privacy" at this stage as building her personal fame and name in Hollywood was important to her. And she tried her best to call attention to her new relationship especially in July 2016 when it started, with 4 posts just in that 1 month!— — — — — — — —PART 2: INDICATORS OF HER FUTURE PLANSOct 2016- I think this is when the RUMORS about them dating started and Harry wanted to keep the relationship as private as possible. She obviously had different thoughts, as I've outlined in Part 1 above!8 Nov 2016- Harry finally issued a rare statement (A Statement by the Communications Secretary to Prince Harry) wherein he confirmed for the first time that he was dating her and he suggested he wanted the media to leave her alone, (why she would then go and do an article with People magazine and be on their cover page is beyond me!) (gonna digress for a moment, but it's interesting to note the statement specifically call this out “He has rarely taken formal action on the very regular publication of fictional stories that are written about him”- Man, how much things have changed in just 2 years after his marriage to Meghan!)May 2018 onwards- Fast forward to a few months after their May wedding- the signs that she was planning not to cut ties with the USA -Meghan Markle didn't fast track her UK citizenship but retained her American citizenship (Article by People Magazine on 28 Nov 2017 provides good context on similar cases, of royals who expedited their citizenship upon marrying into royalty, so I won't go into the details)Meghan put her clothes and furniture in a storage in Toronto instead of moving them to UK, why would she do that if she didn't intend to move back in the near future?She retained her former Hollywood agent, lawyer, and business manager in USA despite apparently giving up her Hollywood life to move to the royal family?April 2019 (less than a year after their wedding)— Prince Harry and Meghan appointed a separate head of communications and set up their own Instagram account with the SussexRoyal monogram (which they continue to use till date on their thank you card envelopes/stationery). This was another early indicator of them wanting to build their own individual personal brand & name so they can continue building on this fame post their exit- they wanted to be viewed separate from the Cambridges, (who had in 2018/19 changed the title of their own royal foundation to include the Sussexes since they didn't mind sharing the fame and instagram branding/communications space with the Sussexes). Obviously this was not good enough for Meghan, she wanted to become famous in her own right not as a royal family member/ part of the 'fab 4’ but as an individual!Early July 2019- She hired Sunshine Sachs as her PR firm in USA, ahead of her highly woke Vogue cover/guest editing gig in end July 2019, as even though it was a Vogue UK issue she wanted maximum coverage in America as that was “the country she really cares about in terms of media" as reported by news outlets even then…another point to note here is that it was Meghan who reached out to the Vogue Editor to propose this collaboration, NOT the other way around, so clearly she had an agenda in mind when she contacted him.15 July 2019- Harry & Meghan attend the Lion King premiere and it was reported that he told the Disney CEO Bog Iger "You know, she does voiceovers; she's really interested," The Disney boss responds, "Sure ... we'd love to try." (& that got her the Disney voiceover opportunity)Early 2019- She changed her name on her passport, Archie's birth certificate etc to refer to herself WITH her royal titles (just so it's harder for anyone to take them away from her later?)Oct 2019- Harry & Meghan: An African Journey documentary was released, where she said no one asked if she was okay. Again, another indicator of her wanting to leave the family, but this time making sure she played the victim card well in advance so people see this as a reason for why she wants to leave (when she finally announces her plans a few months later)Nov/Dec 2019- Almost immediately after the above documentary released, they announced a 6-week vacation (“family time") which they spent in LA & CANADA. They obviously used this time to plan their move to Canada, setup their SussexRoyal website for a launch once they announce Megxit next month, and make arrangements for Archie to remain in Canada even after Dec 2019 while Meghan/Harry returned to UK to make their big statement. The fact that they left Archie behind in Canada- a major indicator that they weren't open minded about their discussion about their future as royals, they knew exactly what they wanted and when they wanted it as they wouldn't have left him in Canada with Jessica Mulroney if they weren't sure of returning pretty soon!9 Jan 2020- They made an announcement on instagram about their decision to become “part time royals" without consulting the Queen (their justification for doing so was that the Queen was not available to speak to them immediately and so they HAD TO announce it directly on social media! Such a lame, petty, child-like tantrum/move! Couldn't they wait for the discussions to happen in end Jan as the Queen/Charles gave time for this discussion then, what difference would a few weeks make, why the urgency to sort it out in the first week of Jan itself and so unceremoniously announce it to the world when they didn't get what they wanted- it was such a disrespectful move and this resulted in a major fall in their popularity! (NOT their decision to leave but the way they announced it!) the fact that they had the website ready to launch & mentioned it in this post shows that a lot of planning went into making their announcement exactly the way they didConclusion of Part 2: she clearly never intended to give up living in Canada/USA for too long, and was keen on leveraging the SussexRoyal brand to make millions for herself as is clear from the early trademark applications and her desire to get a royal title upon marriage (why didn't she deny a title like Jack Brooksbank did, especially since she supports being “linked not ranked") So my vote would go in support of the news statements ‘Meghan only stayed in Royal Family as long as necessary to secure desired US life' (& produce a heir to use as leverage?)— — — — — — — — — — —PART 3: SUSSEXES' INTENTIONS WITH MEGXIT REVIEWI think their long term agenda is to get the most out of Megxit and by cleverly shifting the public's focus to whether Harry can retain his military roles (as has been the topic of the latest articles this week), the public aren't focusing on the other important things that should also be questioned as a part of the Megxit review-The Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles being exploited for commercial deals/Archewell Foundation. And should they be allowed to use their royal titles when they are sharing their political views (e.g. USA elections, etc)?The SussexRoyal monogram still being used on their stationery /envelopesThe Duchess' 4 royal patronages --i.e. with ACU (Association of Commonwealth Universities), the Mayhew, the National Theatre in London, and Smart Works — that she's done nothing to promote in the past year. Don't know how much she did with them even before 2020 as she was on her maternity leave / lengthy family vacations for most of 2019.Should they be allowed to retain Frogmore CottageWhy do the Sussexes name appear on the homepage of Heads Together, when they've done nothing to promote mental health through this org. (See “charity information" part at the bottom of the home page if you're wondering what I'm referring to: Heads Together | Join the conversation | Mental Health)Where is the transparency on how much money they still receive from Charles/the royal family?Why have they kept the SussexRoyal website live, instead of shutting it down completely?And most importantly, if they've absconded from their royal duties, should they really be allowed to retain their 6th position in the succession order? Shouldn't the first 4 adults in line to the throne be those who are dependable and can be called upon to take on royal responsibilities if anything were to happen to the reigning monarch — Will Harry continue to have the Counsellor of State role? Details here: Counsellor of State - Wikipedia)Conclusion of Part 3 & the response to the question: By focusing on just Harry's military roles, the media is letting Meghan and Harry get away with almost everything else that maintains their links to the British Royal Family (as listed in the 8 points above) & then Megxit would work in the Sussexes favor sadly & allow her to achieve her long term agenda i.e. breaking the internet and cashing in on her royal status without having to put in service to the nation!(Those who are still awake (LOL) after reading this super lengthy post, I'd love to hear your thoughts! If the application for Jamaican, citizenship is approved, he retains American citizenship as the USA allows dual nationality.To satisfactorily establish a claim for Jamaican citizenship for your son, you need to submit a request in writing or complete a request form obtainable at the offices of the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA), or on its website at www.pica.gov.jm, or through the nearest Jamaican mission in an overseas territory.
