How will Wuhan test 11 million people for Covid-19 in 10 days?

I am also surprised. It may seem like mission impossible but we never know if it can be done after it is finished (just like those 2 newly built hospitals)Personally I haven’t got any news from the community about how this would be carried out so I will not comment further. I will update as soon as this test begins.I can say that the 3rd grade students, as well as all the teachers in my middle school as well as my high school had all been tested before they got back to school, which was roughly a week ago. So I guess the ability to test people is there, whether there will be a massive test for everyone and how it would be carried out remains to be seen.Updating after one hour, 10PM, March13thI contacted the community worker who takes care of all people in my apartment building as well as 2 more. She is one of the many community workers who take care of our neighborhood. She said that this new 11 million test idea was put forward because that we had 7 new confirmed patients popping up out of no where yesterday.(‘Out of no where’ means that they had no clear contact with anyone) They were asymptomatic after they were tested positive and they showed syptoms after several days of self-quarantine.She is now giving out a form via Wechat to ask residents to fill out. We will submit our names, IDs, addresses, phone numbers, ages and whether we had a covid-19 test or not. According to her after this submission data is collected, there might be a free nucleic test for those who haven’t been tested. This is a new order from the government so more details are still being discussed.I believe that this new 11 million test is mainly aimed at old people as they are the most vulnerable. The reason I make this statement is that all working adults had been tested near 8th April when the lockdown ended and they returned to work. Everyone will need to be tested before they return to their jobs. The young also got tested when they returned to school. That leaves out the old among whom many are still living like it is hell out there. There are many elderly people in my community and they told me that they are still afraid to go out because they are afraid they would catch the virus. Many did refrain from going out of the community and have their supplies delivered to their doors via online orders. So I believe this is a new policy that will mainly benefit the old. I will update later as more details unveil. Stay tuned.Updating at 1AM,16th May.They started to test people yesterday. The communities that first finished collecting the data get to get tested first and mine was not a quick runner:)Honestly the details of how this test would be carried out were sent out on 13th May, I just did not see it from my community notices. I will translate several parts of these documents about the details.1, The nucleic acid test is free for this time.2, Residents who had a previous nucleic acid test more than a month ago will need to get retested.3, This test is for all that normally lives in the district.5, The test should be carried out in an open area. The doctors will come to the community to do the tests. (The first community that finishes collecting the data get to start the testing first)6, All that were registered should be tested in 8 days, no more than 10 days.8, Kids below 6 should do not do this test.If the test is taken outdoor, then it should be an open cool airy area. Temporary tents would be set along with tables, chairs with backrest and stools. When taking noon breaks the whole area need to be disinfected using bleach. If the test is taken indoor, then it should have a spilt type air conditioner and the room should be sealed and disinfected every 4 hours. Apart from the tables, chairs and stools, there should also be a register table at the door with chairs.Every community will need 3 workers to help with the test. For every 4–5 thousand residents there should be a team of 7 doctors to do the nucleic test. For each community there should be 2 police officers to help maintain order and guard security. All residents should take this test. Every person who is of the following 9 types will need to take the test.1, The confirmed cases, The asymptomatic positive ones, suspected cases as well as those who had close contact with them. Also all those who are having a fever.2, All School workers. teachers, support workers etc. (those whose jobs are related to the education system)3, Medical workers. (those whose jobs are related to medical system)4, Public transportation workers, including metro system workers, bus drivers ,taxi drivers who were appointed to communities during the ourbreak etc.5, Bank workers and supermarket workers.6, Volunteers and community workers who did their job during the outbreak.7, Civil Servants.8, Those who returned to Wuhan from foreign districts.9, Those who will leave Wuhan to work in other districts. So Wu Hao is correct as it did not mention the old people in this notice. And just like him I also believe that everyone would just end up getting tested.I received the notice from my community worker 5 hours ago in the wechat group. She told us that the test for all residents in my apartment building (4th in 6 buildings) would begin at 9 AM this sunday and last for about 40 mins. The 5th and 6th would then follow to take the test. The residents in the first 3 apartment buildings would be tested this saturday, today. She also said that for all residents we need to take our ID, a smartphone and a spare mask with us. We need to consume no water or food before 1 hour of the test. Those who were confirmed cases, suspected cases, close contacts and ones with fever would take the test another time to avoid a potential spread.I would be updating today (after a roughly 7 hours’ sleep?) when I go down to see how this test is commencing for the residents in the first 3 apartment buildings. I am curious just like everyone else by now.Updating at 11 PM May 16th.The temporary tents have been set on my community’s basketball playground this morning and the residents of the first 3 apartment buildings have been tested this afternoon. These are from my friend who took the test today. His community provides both nucleic test.My test is on tomorrow morning. I will need to take some rest now…Updating at 10 AM May 17th.I took the test 1 hour ago.Below were taken before I took the test as the medical workers put on their protective gears and community workers start setting fences. Several elderly people got up early in the morning and went down to queue to get tested earlier. The test starts at around 8:30 and the steps are as follows:1, Registration Area where IDs are checked into the system to see if it has been registered (I filled out the registration form online 3 days ago so my ID is in the system) and register those who haven’t.2, Material Distribution Area. You get a number according to the registration form and workers use that number to find the bar code that matches your name and put that bar code on the tubes. For example my ID is 1234567 and they will find my ID on the registration form where my test number is A44. I then tell the other 2 workers my number A44 and they will find the 2 bar codes that matches my name and number. They will then stick the bar codes on the 2 different tubes that will be later used for tests before they hand them to me. On the right are the workers who are looking for the matching bar codes as there are just too many of them. They said that it might be better if they had just moved the bar code printing machine here and to print on spot instead of finding the printed codes.3, Nucleic Test Area. A smaller one of the 2 tubes is for the nucleic test. I believe many have done this where they stick that into your throat to get the sample. It is really quick, few seconds and it is done. Nucleic test is a must-take for all residents in Wuhan unlike the antibody test. Only several districts of Wuhan City provide free antibody test and that includes Wuchang District where I am currently living in.This is the volunteer who tested me. He called out ‘handsome’ to me while I was approaching. We had a good chat. LOL. Damn he might be much more ‘handsome’ without those protective gears but he is definitely much more professional and protected in those suits.4, Antibody Test Area. Blood sample from the vein. The longer tube is for this where the doctors draw the blood into it. So it is not a ‘get the result right on the scene’ kind of test as they will get it tested later on, but it still gets the job done. They said that both results would be sent online when it came out. After I finished testing, I talked to some workers who are not that busy. They said that 10 days’ limit was for each individual districts and not for Wuhan city as a whole. They told me that they only tested about 300 people in my community yesterday afternoon and the original plan to finish the test this morning for the community as a whole is very likely to be extended to the whole day. So it IS a hard job to test all those people in such a short time but I do hope they get it done. More medical workers and more community workers will surely push this task further.Updating at 9 AM May 18th.The team of medical workers did stay in my community to test until about 6PM yesterday. But it was already pretty empty by 3 PM last afternoon as most people in my community had already been tested by then. They stayed for a few more hours because they would not be able to test another community as it is getting late.According to the notice, I will receive my test results in less than 48 hours and I can look it up online once it came out. It is said that about 4–5% people who had been tested have the antibody which is a little higher than expected. I have a strange feeling that I have the antibody…Pure guess though. But the test has not finished in my community. There are mainly 2 types of people who have not been tested. The old who had trouble walking, standing and waiting (especially in the sun); The ones who were confirmed cases or suspected cases. The community workers told me that they would arrange for another time to test these people door to door to better help these more vulnerable groups of people. I appreciate the effort they poured into caring these people as that is what caring means. There are also some people who did not register in time and cannot get the bar code to do the test. They will wait for further notice from the community. The medical team in my community yesterday will be moving to test another neighboring community today. That community is much bigger than mine and that means longer time would be taken and more teams would be sent. I am waiting to see the result from them.Updating at 14 PM May 19th.I got my antibody test result from the wechat platform of the hospital from which the team of medical workers who tested my community were selected. Both are negative. So it seems my instincts were wrong after all :) The nucleic test result has not yet come out but I suppose it will within 24 hours. I guess I will have to keep waiting. My aunt and uncle who is living in the same community with my family got both their test results. That includes the nucleic test results and their results are also negative. Many in my community have received both test results and I wonder why is my nucleic test results not coming out…10 AM May 21th.Still no nucleic results. I am getting a little anxious as many in my community have already received both their results. I am quite sure that they have tested my sample and I suspect that they made a mistake when uploading the results.Meanwhile many other communities are still undergoing tests and it would possibly go for a few more days than expected. We will wait for the official report until the end of this massive test. Also Robin Daverman has a perfect answer to why this test took place. It is mostly about boosting confidence. 50 days have passed and Wuhan is still slowly recovering, much slower than other parts of the country. People are afraid to come here and there are incidents where locals are discriminated against in other provinces despite their health code shows they are healthy. Most restaurants still have much much less customers than ususal and businesses are suffering. I talked to a restaurant owner and he told me that he expect this to continue to maybe September when college students came back to study in Wuhan (Wuhan has a lot of universities).Despite reopened, Wuhan is still not fully back to normal and we need some confidence in the people, and in the city, to help it recover. A massive test will surely do the job.Robin Daverman's answer to Do you think China will really test all 11 million Wuhan residents for Coronavirus (Covid-19)?Updating at 11PM May 23th.I did not update for 2 days because I was preparing for my exam and it was exhausting…I received my nucleic test result yesterday and it was negative. According the officials the nucleic test results will be then linked to the health QR code which works like a pass. The QR code is what everyone needs to get access to places. Green code give you access to almost everywhere while the yellow and red ones limit your access. This screenshot below contains several personal information and so I blurred some of them. On the top there is my name and ID number. In the middle there is the green health code which says I am healthy (at least covid free). On the bottom there is the nucleic test result. You may notice that there are 2 closed eyes with the shape of eyelashes on the right side of the screen. Once tapped, those 2 eyes will open and reveal the true information next to them instead of the dots just in case that you may not want it to be noticed.Meanwhile more of my friends are getting tested in other districts of the city. You may notice that the community where my friend lives even provides stools for everyone in the line which is more considerate compared to mine:( Residents in my community had to bring their own chairs when waiting:(My community worker told us 2 hour ago that the people who hadn’t registered during my community’s test will need to go to another nearby community to get tested. That is about 800m and some complain that there are quite some old people and they may have trouble getting there. The community worker responds that there will be community volunteers who will be there to help them. There are questions as to this 10 day limit and I explained that according to medical workers in my community this limit is for each individual districts, not the city as a whole. But I suspect they will get it done within 10days anyway. I will be going to that nearby big community next monday to see how their tests are doing. Maybe it will all be finished by then.Updating at 11AM May 25th.My community notifies us this morning in the wechat group that today is the last day of this city wide free test and those who miss this chance will need to get tested on their own if they need test results to go to work or visit other places. The goverment also texted everyone saying that whoever missed the test will be given another chance to register before 17 PM, May 26th, tomorrow in order to get tested free of charge. So it seems they did manage to pull off this massive test in 10 days as every communities did provide a free test opportunity for every residents. At least this is the situation in my community. I am satisfied with what they provide and it has shown positive results. My teacher said that the one major benefit of this massive test is that as there are very few people who have been tested positive, people are confident to go out more and to have fun. She and her family went out to a farm to pick up strawberries yesterday which is a clear sign that confidence is back. I am looking forward to seeing tourism back in summer and I wish that is not just a fantasy :)

Is a QR code on my headstone a good idea?

This answer may contain sensitive images. Click on an image to unblur it.“Lord but she was thin..”Ok so the question is really about QR (Quick Response) codes. You know those quirky little squares that are popping up everywhere now, from product packaging to tourist hotspots. And on headstones.QR Memories | QR Memories[Image: Wiki- click for details]They are more convenient than copying out a web address since all you need to do is present your phone’s camera to it and the QR scanner app will do the rest and take you to the website. It must be around 6 or 7 years now since one of my sons was employed by a Russian local tourist board to provide the English translation for local highlights. The tourist trail provided QR codes at appropriate point, the punter scanned the code and within seconds their phone explained the wonders to behold with a slight Scottish accent.Having a QR on a memorial might seem a bit tacky to some. I like the idea, in theory at least. I love a wander around an old graveyard. The older the better. The well-worn, lichen-encrusted stones are wonderful. But the features that lend them such visual and tactile attraction are the very ones that render the information, sculpted by a long-dead hand, difficult or impossible to discern. The historical details of tradespeople, sailors, farmers, wives and mothers…all weathered away for ever.[Image: Wiki- Click for details]Think of how QR codes might change all that for future generations of cemetery bowsers like me. Many people have a substantial online presence on which they may share intimate details of their lives. And everyone has at least basic data somewhere online from digital records of your birth certificate to which tablet you were prescribed for your hayfever. It’s a future genealogist’s digital dream. With a QR displayed on your headstone couldn’t a relative 200 or 300 years hence stand in the sunshine on the good side of the turf, smiling at your curious dress-sense and quaint speech as they view your holiday videos and family birthdays?Well yes if the likes of Facebook, YouTube and WhatsApp and their servers are going to be around for hundreds of years looking after your Ice Bucket Challenge. But how likely is that?At least one company involved in this grave topic provides a bespoke QR code that references your own page on their server. The other issue is longevity of the physical code itself. Is it even possible to stick a piece of etched steel or granite onto a headstone to withstand cycles of heat, cold and wet over the centuries? That issue can be overcome by etching the code into a piece of 1 1/2 inch square of polished granite or metal that is then inserted flush into the headstone surface. Having lost tooth fillings I can’t help wondering how well those memorial fillings will last, even if never in contact with toffee. Lettering can drop off after a few decades , changing the reverent “Lord but she was thine!” to rather non-politically correct “Lord but she was thin !”.I think I’ll just instruct my loved ones to keep my social media live when I personally log out for ever.

How do you get started investing in cryptocurrencies if you have no prior knowledge or experience?

The meteoric rise of the Cryptocurrency market in 2017.So you’ve taken the red pill, and now you’re either looking to invest, or have started investing into cryptocurrencies already. With the overall crypto market growing over $100 billion in value in just 2 weeks (as of this writing), the space is heating up and it’s entering mainstream adoption. But where do you start?. Before we proceed, here’s a tip, as Bitcoin inches toward mainstream adoption, economists and finance experts debate whether it’s an asset or a currency. In terms of valuing Bitcoin, that argument couldn’t be more irrelevant. It doesn’t matter how people use Bitcoin; what matters is why people choose to own it.I invest my Bitcoins with the Coinstarhaven company (www.coinstarhaven,com) for example, a company that pays double your invested cryptocurrency after 7 days. That’s basically how i use mine, people use Bitcoins in so many ways, but this doesn’t really matter when valuing Bitcoin.Now. there’s now over 1300 cryptocurrencies on Cryptocurrency Market Capitalizations | CoinMarketCap, and dozens of exchanges, and many layers of technologies to understand. The crypto world can be quite overwhelming for new comers, and it takes plenty of time and research to understand how to get started, and to avoid costly mistakes.I’ll attempt to breakdown the basics and the major things every investor should know, including what crypto wallets are and how to use them, how to trade, where to trade, what to look for in good projects, and general advice that I’ve personally learned from investing in this space since the beginning of the year.Getting startedHere’s the topics I’ll cover in this article:WalletsWallets are like bank accounts for your tokens. I’ll go over all the major types of wallets and how to use them.ExchangesHow to send money to get started on popular exchanges.TradingHow to start trading, and things you should understand about the crypto markets.Managing your portfolioApps to help you get a better understanding of your gains & losses, and how to watch tokens and prices.Security & safetyTips on maximizing security for your holdings, best practices, and how to avoid phishing scams, etc.Common mistakesCostly mistakes you should avoid.General tips & adviceAdvice that I’ve found helpful from my own experiences, from trading, to research, etc.ResourcesUseful resources to learn more about the disruptive technology behind cryptocurrencies, keep up with crypto news, communities to engage in, and more.WalletsWallets are like your crypto bank accounts, and different wallets store different tokens. To trade any crypto currency, you first need a wallet for to store them, ie: Bitcoin needs to be kept in a Bitcoin wallet. Wallets are exactly like they sound, they’re like a crypto bank account. How to get a walletThe easiest way is to sign up to an exchange that allows you to buy, trade, or sell cryptocurrencies, they allow you to generate a wallet for every token that they trade, even if you don’t own any. Coinbase for example, gives you a wallet for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash.Crypto Wallets don’t actually hold anything, unlike a physical one.An important thing to understand is that wallets are simply a secure “window” into the blockchain so you can view your records and transactions. Think of it like Gmail, where your wallet is your Gmail login and password, but you’re not actually storing the emails yourself, you’re simply accessing it. Your tokens and transactions are saved on a blockchain, which is distributed across a vast network. So it’s always there, no matter if you lose your wallet. You just won’t be able to access or do anything with the tokens without your wallet. How to send and receive tokens between walletsEvery Wallet has its own unique address, so if you trade on 3 different exchanges, you will have a different Wallet and address for each exchange, for each token. Think of them as a different website address or URL.Wallet addresses are currently a very long string of characters, called a hash.An example of what a Bitcoin Wallet Address looks like on Coinbase. To send tokens between wallets, you will need to first copy the receiving address, and then enter the address into the Recipient field when sending. Here’s an example of what the sending screen looks like on Coinbase:Sending Bitcoin from Coinbase.Wallets are currency specificMeaning, they only allow sending and receiving of their own token. This is very important to understand. In the crypto world, you cannot send different coins to different wallets (there are exceptions), otherwise you will lose your funds forever.ERC-20 based tokens (the exception)To dive a little deeper, there are certain tokens based on the ERC-20 protocol (generated from the Ethereum blockchain), that can be stored in the same ERC-20 compatible wallet. So for example, if you have two ERC-20 tokens, “Apple Coin” and “Orange Coin”, you can send them both to an ERC-20 wallet, such as MyEtherWallet.com.***Make sure you always double check that the link you are visiting is correct, there are lots of sites out there with a confusingly similar spelling attempting to trick users into logging in, thinking it’s the real site, therefore “phishing” or stealing your login info! Try not to search Google and click into a site, always enter it directly or visit from a bookmark!***Always make sure you are on a secure connection, and double check it’s a legit web address.Different types of walletsOnline wallets are often regarded as the least safe, although most convenient for trading. If you have your tokens on an exchange, you can trade with them immediately. However, there are a few main types of wallets:Desktop walletsThese are wallets usually created by the token developers. For example, to find an official supported wallet for Bitcoin, you can download one from https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-walletMobile walletsThese are app-based wallets that you can download and install on your phone, although more common for Android based phones. Examples include the Blockchain mobile wallet for Android.Online WalletsAll exchanges offer online wallets, to allow you to send and receive tokens. For example, Coinbase or MyEtherWallet.com. It is highly recommended to store tokens offline to reduce risks of hacks, phishing attempts, and also the collapse of exchanges. While most exchanges have security protocols in place, there have been disasters like the infamous Mt Gox hack in 2014where $460 million worth of Bitcoin was stolen.Paper WalletsPaper wallets are basically a print out of your wallet’s public and private keys, along with a QR code you can scan. A private key is basically a sequence of letters and numbers (much like a long password), that you, and ONLY you should know, in order to unlock your wallet and access your tokens. Coindesk has a guide on how to create a paper wallet.Hardware walletsThese are the most secure way to store your tokens. Hardware wallets are completely offline (often referred to as cold storage). Hardware wallets do not support every token out there, so you will need to find out if the tokens you want to store are supported by the hardware wallet. Popular options are the Ledger Nano S and the Trezor Hardware Wallet. The Ledger Nano S hardware wallet. From https://www.ledgerwallet.comTo learn more about wallets, Coindesk has a great article on wallet options.ExchangesUnlike traditional stock markets, crypto exchanges never sleep, it’s global and it trades 24/7.To start trading cryptocurrencies, there’s a few key things to understand:Only a few exchanges allow you to buy Bitcoin with Fiat currency (your domestic currency, such as the US dollar).Bitcoin is currently the most common trading pair, meaning in order to invest in other tokens or projects, you’ll most likely only be able to trade/buy it against Bitcoin. Thus, you will need to hold Bitcoin to make most trades. Ethereum is also starting to be more widely accepted as a trading pair, so there are tokens you can trade against Ethereum as well. Most exchanges are not regulated, invest at your own risk.Unlike the traditional stock exchanges, crypto exchanges have no opening and closing hours, they are always open, 24/7, 365 days, globally. With those in mind, here’s a few of the most popular exchanges.Popular ExchangesCoinbaseBased in the United States, Coinbase is one of the largest Bitcoin exchanges in the world. Coinbase currently only allows you to buy four cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Litecoin. You can buy them directly with your credit card with a $250 weekly limit. This limit can be increased if you complete some identity verification requirements. They charge a 4% processing fee.BittrexAlso a US based exchange, Bittrex is one of the more popular ones for crypto, as it trades a handful of the 1300+ alternative cryptocurrencies out there(or commonly referred to as alt coins). You cannot deposit Fiat currency directly into Bittrex, so you’ll first need to buy Bitcoin or Ethereum, and transfer them into Bittrex before you can start trading.BinanceBased in Hong Kong, Binance was only launched in early 2017, however they quickly pivoted their platform to open up to the western part of the world and they’ve catapulted to become one of the largest exchanges by volume. I personally recommend Binance because of their superior user interface, ease of use, lower fees (with the use of their Binance token to facilitate trades), and the selection of tokens/alt coins they trade.BitfinexAlso based in Hong Kong, Bitfinex is one of the largest exchanges and handles the most Bitcoin volume for an exchange that targets North American traders. It offers a range of alt coins as well, although not as long of a list as Bittrex or Binance.PoloniexAlso a US based exchange, Poloniex is another popular exchange that trades a few dozen cryptocurrencies.Trading CryptocurrenciesNow that you understand how wallets work and you’ve discovered the exchanges you can trade on, it’s time to learn how the trading mechanics work in the crypto world, as well as general tips and common mistakes to avoid.Trading pairs — Understanding how to trade in BTC valuesMost trading interfaces are similar across all exchanges, there’s a few main concepts to understand, which are quite similar to traditional stock exchanges. The only key difference, is that most tokens are traded against Bitcoin, or in some cases, Ethereum.Bitcoin and most tokens are divisible. With Bitcoin itself divisible up to 10 million units. You do not have to buy or sell a whole Bitcoin. It’ll take a bit getting used to, but it’s a good habit to conduct your trades referencing not just your native Fiat currency, but also the value against Bitcoin or Ethereum. For example, as of today, $1 USD is worth 0.00006246 BTC (or Bitcoin). All exchanges that trade a token with Bitcoin as a trading pair, will take buy and sell orders against a Bitcoin value. Here’s a full chartbreaking down the units. One Bitcoin is divisible up to 100 million units, and 1 Satoshi is the unit name for 100 millionth of 1 BTC.Making TradesThere’s three ways to make a trade:An example of the trading interface on Binance.Limit TradeLimit trading allows you set a price you want to buy or sell a token at, and specify how many tokens you want. This is a good way to automatically fill a buy or sell order at a future time when the price of the token hits your price target.Market TradeSome exchanges like Binance will allow you to buy at the market rate. On Bittrex, this is called an “Ask”, which is the asking price on the market. This is the quickest way to buy in the market if you want to purchase or sell a token immediately.Stop LimitA stop limit basically allows you to automatically trigger an order at a set price, or better. For example, if you set a “stop limit” at $5, then you’ll automatically start buying up to a set limit when the price is $5 or less. Vice versa when you set a stop limit sell order.Bittrex’s trading interface. Clicking “Bid” allows you to fill in the last market sell or buy price.Tip: To quickly check you entered the right Bitcoin value in terms of dollar amount, you can paste in the amount on http://preev.com/ to convert it to dollars.Security & SafetyI’m sure many of you may have heard of the many horror stories of lost private keys, stolen Bitcoins, hacked exchanges, etc. When there’s so much money at stake, it’s important to take every security measure possible, even if it may add some additional inconvenience. The peace of mind that your investment and hard earned money is kept safe and secure is invaluable. Here’s a few things every investor should do to keep their investments secure:Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)This is the first thing anyone investing should immediately enable after you register on an exchange, or any location where you store your tokens. All exchanges have this option, so enable it! 2FA ensures that even if your login and password is compromised, hackers cannot get into your account unless they also enter a time-sensitive 6 digit code, that only you can access on your phone. To setup two-factor authentication:Download either Google Authenticator or AuthyNavigate to where you can enable 2FA for your account on the exchange/websiteYou should see a QR code, simple scan it with the appThat’s it!After that, everytime you login to your account, it will additionally ask you for a 6 digit, time-sensitive code as an extra security, before access to your account is granted.A common misconception is that you must use Google Authenticator to enable 2FA. This is not true. I personally recommend Authy for managing your 2FA, as it can sync with multiple devices, incase you change or lose your phone/device, you can always recover your 2FA codes.Use long, secure passwords (And a password manager, they’re free!)It might be a bit of a hassle to dig it up every time you want to login to trade or check your balances, but that process is much more seamless if you take advantage of secure, password managers that helps you generate and remember every login/password for all exchanges you trade on.I recommend either 1Password (free for 1 device), or LastPass (free for multiple devices).Tip: It’s also useful to save your 2FA backup code in the password manager, as well as your wallet addresses, so you can easily copy and paste them when transferring tokens!Don’t reuse passwords and loginsThis goes without saying. If one of your account gets compromised, it’s not hard to imagine the hacker can easily find your other accounts on various exchanges. Before you know it, your hard earned investments will have completely disappeared.Common mistakes to avoidSending tokens to the wrong wallet addressThis is super important to remember! Once you send your coins to an incorrect address, it is unrecoverable. Always ensure you are double checking the send/receive address.Sending the wrong amount of BitcoinWith Bitcoin being divisible up to 100 millionth of a unit, it’s hard to keep track of how much money you’re actually sending. Use a website like http://preev.com/ to double check the value of the BTC you are sending/receiving.Thanks for reading!General tips & advice“I
