I love the hustle and bustle of cities. There’s lots to do and see, and I just really like them. I also like smaller cities too which often have the benefits of larger cities without being too overwhelming.Boston, MassachusettsThis city is beautiful with scenic views and historic architecture. There is lots to do and so much history. It’s got this gritty, rust-belt vibe, but it also feels like a city on the rise. It’s dense and pretty walkable and chock-full of American history. It has affordable housing, even in nice areas, and I think the row houses are adorable. It has a decent economy, and the city surrounds the bay beautifully. Definitely one of America’s most underrated cities. Does Baltimore have a lot of problems? It has beautiful, historic homes and a fantastic restaurant scene. It’s close to the mountains, and has many outdoor activities. The juxtaposition of Lake Michigan and the impressive skyline is stunning. It’s hyper diverse with massive immigrant communities from all over the world, and it has some beautiful homes. There are so many awesome restaurants, and the city is very walkable. The city has an incredible tree canopy with beautiful, historic homes and nice residents. It is becoming more walkable, and there is lots to do and see. I live in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood in North Atlanta, GA, USA. I greatly embrace and enjoy the experience.I mostly hear the Spanish language being spoken in my community. It's almost like living overseas.I have different people selling items door to door and in the community. We have the ice cream salesmen with their ice cream carts. Women selling hot tamale plates and pupusa plates door to door for $5 dollars. The man who sells nothing but bread and sweet bread. The guy in his truck selling Hispanic treats to the kids. And the older woman who literally carries a convenience store door to door.The people are very cool and respectful. They love to celebrate different occasions with lots of alcohol, food and music. I've learned to appreciate many different styles of music.My neighborhood has plenty of Hispanic stores, night clubs, pool halls, bars and even a mall. I love being able to go to stores and hear music in Spanish. But I really love being able to check out the ladies when going to get a Torta Cubana Mexican Sandwich.I feel pretty comfortable in my neighborhood. I give complete respect to my neighbors. It is very important to respect women and children. Especially women!Some of my neighbors can't communicate with me due to not speaking English or not feeling comfortable speaking English.Overall, I love living in my Hispanic community. I have been introduced to new musical landscapes, amazing food items and very peaceful, hardworking people focused on family and fun.

I used to live with a wealthy conservative family in North Atlanta. They loved their community for the following reasons: great schools, mega-churches, and a large social network of other wealthy conservatives. They didn’t care about arts or diversity - the kind of things that you tend to find closer to the city. They were fine with staying in their community and knowing a relatively small group of people who were just like them. So, yes, I think white flight had a big role to play. In the 70’s and 80’s, developers started building big affordable homes on farmland where there wasn’t much else. And, white conservatives started moving there because they could still benefit commercially by being close to a city, without the need to live in the city.
