Don’t know the exact answer but my lab tested racing greyhounds at one point.Assemble the following materials a) Kennel boy (no sexism intended - hereinafter referred to as collector) b) 7–10 foot pole with a loop on the end c) disposable cup which fits snugly into the loop, d) canine donor.Have collector follow donor around kennel until donor urinates, quickly insert cup into urine stream, transfer specimen into a conventional specimen container and seal container. Complete labeling of container and properly complete requisition form. Submit for analysis.I presume collecting horse urine would follow a similar procedure. These are very valuable athletes, and any undue touching or invasive procedures should be avoided.

A sample is sent to the lab for analysis, either from a law enforcement agency or a pathologists office. The sample itself comes with a requisition form. This form asks for a set of tests to be performed. This usually looks like-ethanol analysis-drug screen via ELISA/ QTof-drug confirm of any positivesAfter doing the screen you get a class of compounds which could be present in the sample. You then use your lab’s standard operating procedure to measure the concentration of compound within the sample.So basically the way it works is; get sample, run screen, see if the lab has any instructions (SOP’s) on file to quantify the screen positives, then follow those instructions.Hope this helps!

That might rank in one of the stupidest things I have ever read.And “Free ride”?She earned a place at Oxford by being a very good applicant (see a great analysis of her application here by Isaac Hadfield), and by getting the results required to meet her offer.She didn’t get an unconditional offer — she was told she needed to get a certain set of grades (the same grades I was required to get, as it happens), which she did.As far as I can tell, she’s not on any Oxford-based financial aid. If she is getting a “free ride” it is in the form of Government based tuition loans, exactly the same as I am. She has lived in the UK for more than the requisite 3 years needed to qualify for UK government funding — my girlfriend was born in India, and she still gets the same government aid as I do, as will Malala.Not really a free ride, is it?So — let’s just recap.A young woman who was shot in the goddamn head, came to the UK, attended school here, got an offer from Oxford, did extremely well in her A-levels (after winning a Nobel Peace prize), and then (maybe) got some government funding to go to university — like 99% of all UK students who go to university.And you, dear questioner, interpret that as “a free ride to Oxford when her supposed struggles weren't evidenced?”You realise how ridiculous that is?If anything, I am getting an even free-er ride, given I come from a well-off-ish background, still took the government loans and didn’t get shot in the head.Good God, some people….
