When people say that sanitizer “kills” viruses, they’re speaking colloquially, not scientifically.A virus isn’t technically alive. It has no metabolism, takes in no resources or food, and cannot reproduce on its own. If you want to be technically accurate, a virus can be inactivated or destroyed, but not killed.It’s easier to say “killed,” though, and people know what you mean. Rendered non-infectious.

I was in line to enter a store and the guy in front of me didn't want to wear a mask or apply hand sanitizer. When it was his turn to enter the store, the manager confronted him.Manager: “Excuse me sir. In order to enter our store, you need to wear a mask and apply hand sanitizer.”Customer (grunting): “I can't wear a mask, it's impossible for me to breathe in those things and hand sanitizer is bad for my immune system so I can't use it.”Manager: “Sorry sir it's our company policy based on government sanctioned health laws, you must wear a mask to protect others and apply hand sanitizer in order to remove all harmful bacterias on your hands”Customer: “With all due respect sir, I am a restaurant manager and we never apply hand sanitizer. It's not necessary. I have washed my hands 30 minutes ago. Now if you don't mind, I'd like to enter the store now!”Manager: “Which restaurant are you a manager at?”Customer: “That's none of your business.”Manager: “I'm sorry sir, we can't let you inside. Now, if you don't mind there are several customers behind you waiting to get inside the store that are WEARING masks and won't make a FUSS about applying hand sanitizer.”The customer continued to argue for a few minutes after that, but left shortly after the manager threatened to call the police! He definitely got put in his place. 🤣

Prima Facie looked like a propaganda to gain votes.I mean those sanitation workers gained nothing out of it.Today our Factory toilet clogged and the dirty water started flowing out of it.It was a scary situation to deal with.My manager immediately called a cleaning guy.Thank God he was readily available.He jumped into the dirty water, used his long stick and a few equipments and fixed the issue within 15 minutes.What a relief, all dirt was gone!As he was coming back his shoulder touched mine.In an instant rush I felt that my shirt got dirty touching that guy who had touched the dirt of our toilet a few seconds back.But then immediately I realised that how much strong, indifferent and devoted this guy would be who is cleaning other people's dirt without hesitating even once.Same things we can't even smell and bear within a few feets distance.And that too for a petty amount.I think he demands special respect for doing such a complex and important task.It was then I realised that somethings are not about money or benefits, some activities are done to change the general mindset.We people of India, from past 1000’s of years have developed a mind set of casteism.A cleaner is by default considered dirty while others are important in their respective fields.This attitude is wrong and needs to change as soon as possible.And this act of washing a few sanitation worker’s feet and honouring them will help people (specially teenagers and children) to think and build an attitude that-“If Prime Minister of our country can wash someone's feet they must be very important and I must also respect them”I as a political observant realised that my notion about Prime Minister's act was wrong.This act has a power to touch millions of hearts and create a difference in mindset.Even if as a common citizen I disagree with his certain policies but I still appreciate this act along with many other steps taken by him for cleanliness.
