PDF Editor FAQ

What was the rudest thing you saw someone do at a grocery store?

I work at a grocery store, I have so many stories I could tell I probably fill a library with notebooks. Large amounts of stories, like someone pooping while walking and the loaf falling down their pants to our floor, when a lady screamed at all of us and calling my manager a useless fu*king bi*ch because she lost her potato somewhere in the store, or the time when a customer threw a box of cereal at me because I would not sell them to her for the advertised price of $2.99(she had the wrong size). The one that has yet to be out done I will share:I was working the service desk, at my store we do a many things at the desk, like lottery, cigarettes, western union, bill payments and money orders. This lady came in and had a specific list of money orders she needed, pretty standard for some customers. She reads me the list as I’m keying it all into the register. I don’t remember the exact total but it was around $962.98. Now, remember that number. I tell her the total and she looks at her boyfriend/husband/friend/etc, and says “Did I fu*king stutter”? She then reads off the list again to me, at this point I’m confused, so I go back over and tell her the total again, when I spoke the first time I missed a number. She then proceeds to count the cash, all in $20 bills in front of me. I usually don’t watch when they do this since I have to count it my self. As she counts her money she’s putting it in stacks on the counter, as she’s doing that I’m noticing she’s stacking it weird. There really is no way to describe the way she was stacking it other than it kind of looking like a tic-tac-toe game with each stack being a line and adding stacking on top of others. It was odd, regardless she finished counting and I scooped it all up and counted it myself. I count over by the register before putting it in the drawer. Having the knowledge that all bills are $20 I just count the number of bills, to multiply by $20. So I finish counting, there’s 49 $20 bills, so 49x20= $980. Perfect, I then key it in all in and get her change and receipt. I go over to the money order machine and start printing them. She follows me and screams, “WHERE ARE MY MONEY ORDERS? THIS IS NOT A MONEY ORDER”. I reply saying I am printing them. She then responds with, “Well where is the rest of my change”? Having no idea what she’s talking about I ask her to explain. She says that she gave me $1,000 not $980. Which we start arguing about that. This is when she says to me, “If you’re not good with numbers you shouldn’t be working up here” and something else but I do not remember. This is where she crossed the line for me because I knew I was right. I said to her without hesitation, “You have a really bad attitude for no reason, I should’ve denied you service when you started yelling at me”. I immediately call my department assistant manager to the desk so she can count my drawer, we take it in the office and count it. Meanwhile the lady is holding the ringer down and screaming at the cashiers about me saying I’m a thief. My department assistant manager finished counting everything, what do you know, my drawer is 4 cents over. So I was correct, I knew it, we go back to the desk and she explains she counted the drawer and it came back that I was correct. She then accused me of pocketing her money. Which the assistant manager kinda lost it and rolled her eyes and said, “Well he works with money everyday and we’ve never had any problems, he wouldn’t steal your money and he did not. The lady goes berserk. Absolutely insane. Her boyfriend/husband/etc says, “Well I watched her give him $1,000”. My manger says it just didn’t happen. We print her the money orders and she storms out.End of story right? Oh no not yet. A few hours later she calls the store, I answer the phone, her not knowing it was me. She explains the whole story to me over the phone and wants someone to look at the cameras and talk to a manger. A store manager and I go and watch the cameras. I explain it all to him, that we’ve counted the drawer too, everything came back fine. We watch the cameras, and he says I did nothing wrong, I didn’t steal it, basically that I was all correct in everything. Maybe an hour later she calls back(she was not on hold when we were watching the cameras), that store manager that watched the cameras is gone, but he did tell this manager about the situation. He answers the phone on speaker so I can hear it and says that there was no fault found with the cameras and that the drawer is equal, etc. all the good stuff for my side. She goes absolutely insane, screaming that she’s gonna sue the store and me for stealing her money and she’s coming for us. We told her we were no longer helping her with money orders and if she does come back we will refuse her service. I have not seen either of them since.

Can I send a domestic money order via a USPS priority envelope to an international address?

This is not advisable though you can take the risk. However, if the money will be lost during the transit (for some reasons), you cannot file any complain to the USPS since the priority envelope is intended for documents only.Better send it using money order, bank transfer or use Western Union.

How do I track a money order without the receipt?

Check if you can trace the money order without a receipt. While most banks and issuers will allow you to trace your money order without a receipt, some will not. For example, if you have lost your receipt for a USPS money order and wish to trace it, read no further. USPS does not allow tracing of any money order without a receipt. Call your issuer's customer service number (easily found on their website) to see if they can trace a money order without a receipt.2Know who to contact. You will need to contact the issuer of the money order. This is the service that actually processes the order, usually your bank, the US Postal Service, or another money-sending service like MoneyGram or Western Union. You should not contact the reseller of your money order, which could be any convenience store, supermarket, or other store where your money order was purchased.3Gather relevant information. Money orders purchased from an institution other than a bank may be difficult to track. Try to come up with as much information as possible to help the institution locate your money order before contacting them. Important information to have may include:Date and time of purchaseYour contact informationWhere you bought itThe amount of the money orderAny information about other money orders you purchased on that day, if applicable.4Contact the issuer. How this process will work varies between issuers. For a bank-issued money order, your bank will likely keep a copy of the receipt, as they are the issuing institution. It is also likely that they will be able to identify your money order from your account history and trace it this way. However, none of this is guaranteed and will vary between banks. Contact yours for more information. For tracing orders through a non-bank issuer (such as MoneyGram or Western Union) without a receipt, this will have to be done either in person at the store or with the agent that you purchased the money order from or through the mail. Both options will require you to fill out a form that requires some or all of the information listed above, pay a fee, and either turn it in at the store or mail it in.For Western Union "Research Requests," as these requests are called, a fee of $30 must be paid at the store or included with the mailed-in form.5File for replacement or compensation if the money order is found to be lost or stolen. Depending on the issuer and the materials you can provide, this can be either an easy or a time-consuming process. If the money order is located and has not been cashed, Western Union will either refund your money or replace the money order. For MoneyGram money orders, expect that, if the money order has not been cashed, the full amount will be refunded to you within 30 to 65 days of filing the correct paperwork. If the money order has been cashed, though, you will only receive a photocopy of the cashed money order.
