Except Sheldrake and Haramein aren't really doing science. I'm not exactly sure how to classify their "research activities" but I do know it does not involve critical thinking and contains an enormous amount of male bovine waste material... Granted, we need heterodox thinking, but these two are so full of themselves it's more than a little annoying.

What do people get out of trolling?The reasons for trolling are many, most of them appear small minded at a surface glance but this is only because of the liberal and sharp edged use of humor, satire, mockery, and sarcasm. Compound that with the fact that most trolls are in their teens and one can get the false impression that all trolls are slope browed Beavis & Buttheads. I assure you that this is incorrect as the truth is more like the old adage about poets: being a poet at age 16 is being a 16 year old, still being a poet at age 40 is being a poet. So it is with trolls. Due to this the reasons vary but can be generalized by these, and mostly these are in regard to the 40 year old troll, not the immature teenage troll:Justice in the face of dismissiveness; despite the claims of the sciences to be impartial there is a problem and that is that scientists themselves are not. Refer to Wilhelm Reich, Rupert Sheldrake and others to bear evidence to this regard. Sometimes rather than suffer the ridicule of those who claim to be champions of knowledge, a person will throw ridicule back at them in order to show them how screwed up their double standard really is by using those tactics against them. It may not validate a fringe opinion, but it occasionally reveals systemic hypocrisy and that is a just endeavor.Debate Skill Compensation: There are those who have such good debate skills that they always win arguments no matter whether they believe them to be correct and true or not. If they are defending a truth thats great, but when they are only trying to win and outmatch their opponents verbal/debate skills the only recourse to proving ones point might be to troll them into revealing their wrongness. Mostly this is through catching the person by surprise with an unconventional point of view as a facade for the debater to attack. Enough poking the bear and the debater will often show their lack of a hand. Again: this is what they deserve for valuing the win over discovering the truth if it is at their expense.The easing of frustration: People are rather full of themselves and on the internet where they need not see another person in the flesh they are doubly so and at their loudest blustery worst, I have seen people suggest suicide to folk they were arguing with in internet forums. One would never do this in an actual face to face conversation because its downright fucked up and lowlife to do so, but like road rage and the separation that a bit of glass and metal gives, flame wars and the anonymity of the web works like bellows on stupid self importance. Honestly I dont understand why people who allow themselves to get so caught up in their own opinion’s value that they would suggest a person who disagrees kill themselves doesn’t get trolled constantly. They should, but they do not. Their personalities scream for it and if one even has an iota of desire to see a better world one has to seriously resist fucking with these folk. At times one falls victim to temptations.Pure Humor: Far and away the most common form of trolling, these are perpetrated by people who do not take the issue at hand as seriously as those who are actively discussing it. Perhaps the answer seems obvious to them or they dont think it warrants the attention that it is getting, but for whatever reason they find themselves making light of the issue and that then gets translated into posts that they find to be funny. When a person takes one of their posts seriously they will run with it. Each response taken seriously in a sequence is funnier and funnier to them and really they are pretty spot on correct if one can get dispassionate about it an look from a few steps back.There are more, quite a number more in fact. These however might help you reframe your perception of what trolling is. Not all trolls are mouth breathing tab drinkers or mother’s basement at 40 type folk. Most just have a deep value in themselves for the traits of humor and are actually more intelligent than the average person- which is why they can wear so many masks and be so many different opinion sets. They can think quickly on their feet, and have to in order to be convincing. They are a natural antibody against self importance in the species on the individual level and in that good for us. You may find your ego bruised once in awhile at their hand undeservedly (or so you think) but that is a small price to pay for the amount of grief they give the asses of of the world.

At this point his goal was to disprove the concept to the couple. The method he used was taking his friend out for the day then at some point he would hand him a note that read “We are going home now”.Then by matching the movements of the dog to the recorded time when that occurred, he found that, despite all that he had been taught about organic chemistry and, more specifically, dogs, that the dog did in fact get up and go to lay by the door when his friend knew that he was going to return home.He found himself formulating a hypothesis that there is a here for yet undetected field of energy that connects bonded creatures. Then he made a critical error: he started talking about the idea with his biologist colleagues. In this way they reveal themselves as the religion-to-not-be-called-a-religion, by excommunicating their heretic Rupert for his observations of dogs and their masters.He went on to privately continue the experimentation regarding Morphic Resonance, but his name had been so dragged through the gutter the only public venues that would have him were things like radio shows about whether or not your cat can be psychic…..I will cherry pick a few points here that apply to the OP.He found that there are Pygmy tribes who have their males go out to hunt for days on end. Back at the village the women will only start the fires once the hunt is successful yet before they have returned with their kill. If the hunt is unsuccessful the women wont start the fires.
