PDF Editor FAQ

How are you not like the “typical” teenager? How are you different to all the teenager stereotypes in society?

I saw this question and I got SO excited…. I love being weird.I’m 18. No, I’m not an adult. I’m still a child, I can just sign my waiver at Skyzone without calling my mom. So there’s one. All my friends are like “I'm 18, my parents can’t control me, I’m an adult, blah blah” and I’m like, “yeah, your life experiences at the high school totally put you on the same level as your middle aged parents” (that was sarcastic if you didn't pick it up).I’ve been to boarding school… voluntarily. I do Ballet (like the traditional kind. You haven’t lived until you’ve been yelled at in Russian XD) and for my Junior year in high school I went to an arts boarding school. All kinds of crazy kids were there! It was great! Yet I was still an oddity, because, well, I didn't have sex with anybody or hook up with anyone, or have any interest in such relations. My parents were paying SO much money for me to go there, I was there to study, not get a boyfriend. Evidently most of the student body didn't agree with me. Oh well.I’m socially adjusted! Aside from boarding school, I’ve been homeschooled my whole life. And guess what? I’m more socially apt than my public school counterparts! That’s right. How do I know? Well, you get a group of public schoolers together, what do they do? Get on their phones, show each other pictures of physically attractive people, and talk about their frankly pathetic “romantic” lives. Guys, that’s not socially adjusted. That’s awkward small talk where no one knows what else to do. Me? I talk to people! I ask about their interests, find where we relate, make WAY too many dad jokes, be myself! Gasp! When most public schoolers talk to adults, they’re so awkward about it. Either it’s like they revere them, or give them attitude. Me? I talk to adults like they're normal people. Cuz they are. Sorry to burst your bubble.I have self esteem! WHAT!? I haven't fulfilled my daddy issues with boys! I literally don't care. I go places in my pj’s all the time, cuz I’m comfy and people are gonna judge me no matter what I wear, so better be warm and cozy than the latter. Plus, I’ve never been cat called in my Eddie Bauer snow flake jammies. It’s great. How is this self esteem? Well I don't dress for other people. I put myself out there the way I am, which means vulnerability because if someone doesn't like me, I don't have that safety net of “they don't know the REAL me”. Everyone knows I’m a pun obsessed, crazy cat lady. I find it amousing. I need to (cat)nip this one in the bud.Okay, sorry for the truly atrocious puns. Anyyyhow, what else? I’ve never had a boyfriend. The horror. I don't like drama. I roller blade in my basement when I feel like it. I like John Green as much as the next person, but Nicholas Sparks books and movies are stupid, give totally unrealistic expectations about romance and stuff, and frankly the notebook is totally creepy. I would not want one of my guy friends obsessing about me in years to come and then causing me to cheat on my fiancé. Sorry. I much prefer Markus Zusak or J.R.R. Tolkien or J.K. Rowling or Christopher Paolini or just something! I don't fight with my parents. Like, ever. I don't wear make up. My idea of a good time is ordering pizza and watching 80’s movies. I’ve never drank. I’m an introvert who can pretend to be an extrovert when needed. I think cussing is stupid and prefer to make up my own words to replace them. Fudging poop sticks! Dang flabbit! I suck at math but I love logic. I don't cry. Really, it's bad. My friend told me her grandma died and I accidentally laughed. It’s just my emotional response! I’m crying on the inside! I don't have social media and I don't trend. I don't love disney princess movies. Alright, that’s all for now. Have a nice life. Thanks for coming on this journey with me.
