Well, as a elected official, I concur with Martin Fox. He was a terrible governor, and the people of NJ will in all likelihood not elect him to anything after the run he has had.The only hope for him would be to disappear for a while, network quietly within the party, maybe do some charity work to rehabilitate his persona, work on a campaign, and hope for a cabinet position that wouldn’t require voter approval. He’s in his 50s—he has time still. I don’t think he has the personality to do anything like that since that would require some humility and acknowledgement that he is his own worst enemy and he hasn’t shown he has the ability to be humble and admit error, but you never know—he might have the capability to change if he knows he has to in order to stay in politics.But as an elected official, I think his record is just too toxic. Everybody in NJ appears to hate the man.
