Let me make it PERFECTLY clear.Britain is NOT giving Hong Kong people citizenship.Britain has offered Hong Kong people with BNO passports to apply to live in the UK.If their applications are accepted, they need to stay in the UK for 6 years. After having stayed in the UK for 6 years, they can then ‘APPLY’ for citizenship.There has been ZERO guarantee whatsoever those Hong Kong people, after having stayed in the UK for 6 years will become UK citizens.That's ANGERED many people of China and Hong Kong.

Went through the process after that.Before you are able to gain the most powerful passport in the world, you need to renounce your Chinese HKSAR citizenship (I renounced and cancelled my HKSAR passport in the Chinese embassy in Singapore and the useless racist BNO passport in the UK embassy) and provide relevant documents of the renunciation during the application.Singapore does not allow dual citizenship and you need to renounce all foreign citizenships. You can still keep your HKID, although you will be downgraded from the stars to one or no stars, ie permanent residency status. Also your 回乡证 Return Home ID will be cancelled and you are not allowed to apply for it.If you are married, your children will need to serve national service as well, should they take up Singapore citizenship.
