It is. To the marketing company that is. Not for you and me. You end paying Rs. 30 extra per liter and the only benefit you get is you can brag about it on Instagram.Is Aavin only A1 milk? It is mixed milk. It is A1, A2 everything mixed together. Does not really matter. Aavin milk is milk, unadulterated and offers reasonable quality for affordable price.What is the most idiotic milk thing one can do? Staying away from milk because one could not afford A2 milk and thereby laying the foundation for calcium deficiency.Is raw A2 milk the best milk available? Not really. In fact, it is reverse. Since A2 milk is marketed specifically by small players only, that milk is far more likely to be contaminated because these guys do not have access to cold chain.Is the A2 milk “claim” scientifically proven? No. On the contrary, it has been scientifically demolished by European Government Agency and the original A2 marketing company had to change its advertising and “exaggerated” claims and could only say it may be beneficial to lactose intolerant in its advertisements.If you value your hard earned money, these are the words that should trigger alarms in your brain - “organic”, “natural”, “chemical-free”.I am an arts guy and almost flunked chemistry. But even I know there is no such thing called “chemical-free”, may be free of synthetic chemical, but not free of chemicals.Fun fact - An organically grown, pesticide free cassava will still produce natural toxins and if it is not processed properly, do you know what it will produce in our body? Cyanide. Let that sink in.A2 milk is a well marketed placebo. If you like paying extra for a placebo, then no problem going for A2 milk. But if you buy > 2 liters of milk every day, that is Rs. 2000 extra expense a month for a freaking placebo. But Instagram bragging rights = priceless :)
