PDF Editor FAQ

Have you had a co-worker that thought that, because they were friends with the boss, they could never get fired, and then they got fired?

Yes. Company I was last with, was bought out 3 times. That’s insanity and another story. But after the first buyout, the new operations manager (OM) brought on his godson, whom we called Tattlepants, to “assist” him. Everyone (and I mean everyone) complained about Tattlepants. He would tell the OM that we were picking on him, when we would offer suggestions for improvement, when he was reprimanded by the clients for horrible work, when he thought that we weren’t being nice enough to him. He rarely showered or washed his clothes, sometimes smelling so bad that clients complained. Yet, we would get yelled at by the OM for not informing Tattlepants about client face to face meetings. Tattlepants would harass the receptionist, to the point that she filed numerous complaints to the OM. Later, after buyout 2, it came to light that OM never followed procédure and covered the complaints up. Receptionist ended up resigning shortly after buyout 2, and going to better things. At some point, between the OM treating everyone badly and Tattlepants stupidity, the office started to really thin out. Between buyout 1 and buyout 2, the office lost over 80 percent of its people. After buyout 2, OM gets demoted and quit a week later. Tattlepants was fired, after an investigation requested by the new OM, revealed that Tattlepants had done a serious ethics violation. I was told by the new OM, that it was bad enough that the office could have been shut down.Karma is a bitch. The OM lost his credibility in that industry. Just sad to throw away a career over his godson. Tattlepants has a reputation, and not a good one.

Does Google Adwords program recognize false clicks from users using a VPN?

Not sure about targeting VPN specifically (I doubt it), but any series of clicks from the same IPs in suspiciously looking timings and from weird locations stand no chance against Google’s Click Fraud detecting algorithms. So I think you should be fine, but every time you suspect that your costs are ridiculously high and the traffic you get looks weird and gives you nothing, then you can always file a Click Investigation Request. Please upvote if you find this helpful

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says Trump’s pressure on Ukraine to investigate one of his potential opponents in the 2020 election “makes what Nixon did look almost small”. How accurate is that claim?

I think she’s correct in this, yes.The sum of Nixon’s crimes were instigating a break-in a DNC Headquarters, and thereafter attempting to cover up those crimes. Although reprehensible, the only damage that might have been incurred in the long-run would have been to domestic politics.Trump has gone far, far further than this. I’ll break it down for you:He has systematically engaged private citizens outside of the structures of the US government to undermine State Department diplomatic efforts with a foreign ally (Ukraine). In the process of this, his confederates sought to push the government of Ukraine into making public announcements of a (baseless) investigation into Hunter and Joe Biden. As if this needs saying, no evidence of any wrongdoing exists. This was not done through official diplomatic channels, nor indeed, were any such investigations requested on behalf of the DOJ, which similarly had no investigations on the Bidens. In order to facilitate this, Trump placed a hold on funds that had been Congressionally-approved and allocated towards Ukrainian security. These funds were to aid Ukraine in counter-acting Russian-backed insurgents that are attempting to take over Ukraine, in effect to annex it for Russia. Trump did not inform Congress about this, which violates The Impoundment Control Act of 1974.The phonecall of July 25, 2019 between Presidents Trump and Zelensky contained something of a veiled threat: not only did it see Trump request “a favor” - which, given that money intended for Ukraine was currently on hold, could easily be seen as coercion. The transcript as well as State Department testimony all conclude that this was intended to push Zelensky into declaring investigation into the links between Hunter Biden and a Ukrainian company, and thereby paint Joe Biden (a current Democratic Presidential candidate) as corrupt. These actions violate the Hobbs Act (18 U.S.C. § 1951), as well as 18 U.S.C § 872 and 52 U.S.C § 30121. Put another way, Trump has actively committed Federal felonies here. Those acts of gross criminality ultimately stand by themselves as cause for impeachment.Further to this, the White House moved to cover up the transcript of said phonecall by securing it on an NSC Secure Server only intended to host classified documents.Rather than confessing to his inappropriate actions, Trump has since embarked on a blatant disinformation campaign, claiming that his phonecall was ‘perfect’, denouncing the resulting impeachment as a ‘coup’, and instructing both White House and government officials not to comply with legal instructions from Congress, which is a violation of U.S. Code § 1505.Added further to this, Trump has also pushed for the whistleblower that revealed the issue to testify before Congress - bearing in mind that everything first observed by the whistleblower has since been proven credible, and that their testimony would not be appropriate. That move has been made solely to expose the whistleblower, which would open them up to potential danger. This would amount to witness intimidation - a charge which may potentially be added to the impeachment anyway, due to Trump’s inappropriate and intimidating tweets directed at former US-Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch during her testimony. And, honestly? That’s all just the tip of a very large iceberg when it comes to Trump? Nixon at least knew when to stop, and eventually came to admit his crimes, and resigned rather than be impeached. Trump has never once taken responsibility for any of his actions, and has ultimately worked to undermine the US government at every turn - and solely that for his own personal gain.Donald Trump makes Richard Nixon seem like a saint.
