Apparently, Fed-Ex is not as innocent as it claimed.After more than a month-long investigation, Chinese authorities said on Friday that FedEx's claim that it "mishandled" packages sent by Huawei "does not match with facts."FedEx is also suspected of attempting to stall the delivery of more than 100 parcels also sent by Huawei to China, according to the statement.It also said that investigators found evidence that FedEx violated laws and regulations, and the investigation will continue on a comprehensive, objective and fair basis.In a word, more to come.Original report: Probe says FedEx's 'mishandling' of Huawei packages 'does not match with facts'

No.There is simply no reason for Chinese government to disturb any US company at this moment, since it’s already on the moral high ground. No hard evidence has been found yet to prove that Huawei breaks any US law and endangered US national security (The Europeans did find 10 backdoors from CISCO devices in the past 6 years though).Plus, iPhone is just a commercial product, which has nothing to do with the standard of communication. Banning it would only cause massive job loss in China, and a hard evidence for western media that Chinese government interfering with commercial activities. (2G was lead by the Europe, andChinese people in general also won’t reject buying Apple product. After all, they are all made in China. Chinese government collects huge amount of tax out of them.Yesterday, the founder of Huawei Mr. Ren Zhengfei had a press conference about recent situation. He pointed out that Chinese people should blame the US politicians about every ridicules thing happened recently, not the US companies. Those companies are working close with Huawei to overcome the barriers created by the executive order. Huawei’s US suppliers are trying their best to make as many deals as possible before the order becoming available.It’s essentially a fight to be the standard maker. Whichever controls the standard, controls the whole generation.In 2G era, it was divided by 2 parts, Qualcomm of USA standard and Ericsson of Europe standard. It was the time when Chinese realized that having no saying in standard making process is a huge disadvantage. One can only have whatever others give, and has no rights to negotiate the price.There are 2 different kind of technique, FDD and TDDFDD is much easier to achieve in practice, and the west holds most of the IP of it. China decided to go for TDD, which requires nano second level of synchronization accuracy.Datang Telecomm, the company which took the responsibility of researching TDD 3G network was not able to finish the task given by the government. It only managed to finish half of the scheduled patent.When the situation became critical for Datang, an old China saying showed its correctness again, “天无绝人之路/God doesn’t leave you no way out.” Siemens was the only western company at the time which chose TDD direction. By the time it was half way on the route, Siemens realized that it was the only one.By purchasing all patent from Siemens, Datang managed to have enough patent to have its own standard, which is the TD-SCDMA.TD-SCDMA along with WCDMA of Europe and CDMA2000 of USA, were the 3 candidates of 3G standard.At the time, WCDMA was the best solution. Thus China and USA united to oppose it by saying the WCDMA is too expensive for developing nations.What USA was things is that:No nation would use the Chinese standard.No producer would make such product.Even if by a slit chance that Chinese standard got passed, China would never be able to make it working. Soon enough, WCDMA crushed the other 2. Europeans were so good at FDD technology, even Americans couldn’t compete.In the 9th year after 3G standard was made, USA brought up the 4th 3G technology called WiMAX, which is TDD and based on IP network, the thing which Americans are good at. They called it 3.5G.Many US allies joined this fest of WiMAX, including Japan, Korea, Philippines, Malaysia and Taiwan. China was totally surrounded (both are TDD technology). Americans said that TD-SCDMA had no future but has to be merged by WiMAX.What USA didn’t expect was that European manufactures refused to make WiMAX devices. Due to not having decent manufactures, the user’s experience of WiMAX was bad. The lag could go over 1000 milli second, and even constant disconnection.Intel announced to dismiss its WiMAX department in 2010, which sentence the death of it. All ASEAN nations which used to support WiMAX turned into TD-LTE, a Chinese based 4G standard. Due to the similar TDD technology, TD-LTE was their best choice to both joining the 4G era.In the whole 4G period, there are only 2 standard, TD-LTE of China and FDD-LTE of Europe.In 2016, 3GPP had finally determined the technique standard of 5G eMBB, which mainly contains Polar code of Huawei as the control channel and LDPC code of Qualcomm as the communication channel. Huawei has 70% patent in Polar code.Now USA wants to re-gain the control of communication standard. Then it has to find a way to crush Huawei.As for Apple?
