PDF Editor FAQ

If you don't Larp, how do you imagine your first day if you ever went? People who do Larp, what made you join and how was your first day?

I can only give you my personal experience with Dagorhir. I have participated in other LARPS but Dag (dagorhir) is the one I participated in the most. It’s important to note that while the various LARPs may have common ground each one has the potential to play out vastly different. Some don’t or rarely actually role play while others never break character. My experince started before my first official day. I was young and naive and actually frowned upon the idea of “LARP” that stuff was for the “weirdos”. But I was perfectly fine with sitting around a table and role playing a character. I know, hypocrisy, how the world copes. We were playing D&D (dungeons and dragons) one night when we decided to take a break and we went outside, a friend of my friend proceeded to pull out two foam swords and convinced us all to play a little game with them. A hit to the torso was a kill/death, a shot to a limb disabled the limb and if you lost two limbs you were “dead” and headshots were illegal.I have dabbled in various martial arts and at the time I was very cocky and sure of myself. I had used and drilled many hours with Ratan (training sticks) so I figured this was going to be easy… I won, it wasn’t pretty. I could go into why my training didn’t really help me but it is a lengthy subject for another post.So my friends and I were curious and decided to check out this “LARP” thing. We decided “if this gets really weird we’re leaving” and the next day showed up to a local park dressed in sweat pants, old T-shirts and Shoes we didn’t care about. We were told we may get pretty dirty. As we approached the open field where the LARPers were practicing we were greeted by the “King” of the local realm. He carried a very large two handed foam sword and wore a green gambison. We were clearly over dressed.. he spoke to us in a normal voice and didn’t really role play a character when he greeted us. Other than the strange cloths and name he was a normal guy. So far so good.We signed a waiver that basically said yes I’m over 18 and won’t sue anyone if I get hurt and were given loaner weapons (weapons the realm brings to practice in case new people show up) the King gave us a quick run down of the rules and introduced us to many of the other participants. We were asked what our names were, but they didn’t want our real names, they wanted our character names. So I used the first thing that came to mind, it was the name of my World of Warcraft character. Sarcin was born.We proceded to the field for our first round of combat, we took breaks about every 15–20 mins and fought all day. At the end of the day we made new friends we would later call brothers and sisters and got our butts handed to us. It was hard to win a fight. But it was still fun. We were bruised battered and sore, we loved it. Surprised at how little LARP was actually involved but that was fine with us.That was over 13 years ago. I’ve grown both as a person and fighter through dagorhir. It changed me. It humbled me and made me proud at the same time, it broke me out of my shell and tought me not to judge a book by its cover. I have made lasting and strong relationships from it. I was instrumental in creating a group of fighters that spawned three different chapters across four states (one was on a boarder). It tought me many valuable lessons but none more important than this, failure is our greatest teacher so long as we use the tool correctly and do not bemoan our losses. Failure no longer holds any power over me, it is a welcome friend and mentor that I now embrace as it teaches me there lesson.

People Want Us

I love how quick and easy this editor opens up. I write so much and I needed a PDF Editor just like this. I need to write important tasks and information down for other members to read. This software is useful. I also love how easy it is to download my PDF file after I finish it. I love how I can share my PDF with Facebook, Twitter and even to my email. My favorite thing about this PDF editor is how I can add my company signature to it. I don't have to search for a signature to add to this PDF editor. I can just input my own easily.
