Downed enemy pilots were first placed in the custody of the local constabulary, as required by the 1929 Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War. The DNA lab crew came in person and all items were signed over.It was learned several months later that neither bodies were related. Great for the oil company, not too happy for the other folks.
