PDF Editor FAQ

Even selling pakora is a “job” said PM. Do you agree with this statement?

I am frankly quite disappointed with some of the answers here. I write this answer with a lot of emotions running through me.———It reeks of lack of respect towards people who do blue collar jobs or rely on self-employment to sustain their life. It hurts to see that despite all the progress we have made as a country, we still don’t have dignity of labour. That’s an absolutely shameful thing and to see several quorans joining the fray is distasteful to say the least. The only reason that I could write this answer with a roof over my head in a city quite far away from my home, in a language and with an education that has never had any visibility in my house, is because my father runs a small tiffin centre business. Yes, I believe the metaphor of pakodas is entirely relate-able to my dad selling idlis. Then, when I see people mocking the struggles of my dad or in fact countless others’ parents who had to make unthinkable efforts to bring us kids to where we are, I am ashamed to say that I share a country with them. They had to do this to support their parents, their young kids and their wives in a Congress ruled India that refused to provide them any opportunity to excel in the field of formal respectable white collared jobs, they had to resort to sell pakodas because the government in its rank idealism failed to work for us. The Congress did not want to create an environment where the likes of my dad, a poor forward caste person (without the support of reservation) could have a respectable job as it felt that it was sheltering the likes of my dad’s from exploitation by the business class (the banias, the lala’s, the factory owners). It was that sheer environment of absolute hopelessness and downright criminal mismanagement of the country by the congress, that made the likes of my dad seek a form of employment that even today fails to garner a sense of dignity among the so-called educated section of this country.Never ever forget that Congress, even in the 21st century, had run a criminally recklesss adminisitration that failed to implement any notable economic reform (not welfare or social sector) to help the educated youth of this country. Now, in the light of the above and the comment made by the Prime Minister, there is a question one must care to answer. Is the country today being run in the same criminally reckless manner, with absolute disregard for its educated populace? In my opinion, the answer to that question is No. It doesn’t matter how you rate the performance of the present government, there is absolutely zero question of this government failing to do anything right to improve the standards, particularly economic standards of the country. Of course, if you are a partisan hack, you would have to say or think otherwise.Does it have quite a few failures? Yes.Could it have done a better job than it has? absolutely yes.But our Prime Minister has certainly improved the economic standards of this country by leaps and bounds in these 4 years. Our Country today is economically better off by almost any metric possible, than it was in 2013. Congress had got this country down on its knees by 2013. You don’t remember? Let me jog down the memory lane for you.We were the fragile five of the worlds’ economies in 2013 and we are one of the best run economy and a leading investment destination today.[1] Not just this, from that sense of absolute shame, we have reached here.[2]Has this government done nothing right to get this? Don’t they deserve any credit for this? Have we become so shameless as a society that we will not acknowledge merit when we see it?Lets’ concentrate on the comment itself now. It is to bring to your notice, that there is huge difference between the words “rojgar” and “jobs”. The former is a vast term denoting employment. It not only includes employment by the mode of formal jobs but also every other possible category. The Prime Minister was talking about the entire concept of employment, not just limited to white collar jobs. There is absolutely no reliable data that our country collects that objectively and correctly reflects the employment figures of this country. Neither NSSO survey or any such similar one can tell us with absolute certainty that there is a decrease in formal jobs (either white collared or blue collared). Don’t believe me? just look at this, The Employee Enrollment Scheme was announced in 2016 end to help provide PFs to most organized companies’ employees running under the radar. If you believe that you don’t have a partisan mind, please read these links from reputed pink-sheets.Formal jobs in India may be more than estimatedCounting formal jobs in IndiaIndia - Country may have more formal jobs than estimated?Around 600,000 jobs being created a month in formal sector in FY18: StudyEPFO enrols 82 lakh under Employees' Enrolment Campaign 2017No. I am not claiming that this government’s record has been awesome in job-creation. I want to make you understand that the opposite is also not true. The right thing is: WE DON’T KNOW.Our data is unreliable, shady and quite-frankly mediocre to ever give us a right picture. Our businesses have to run under the radar so as to actually survive thanks to our shitty labour laws that the congress will never let us change. The reality is that there are more jobs today than there were 10–15 years ago. I am claiming this and maybe I am wrong, but logically speaking, there will be much better jobs and more in number today, than they were 5–10 years ago. Although, The job-creation growth may not be as robust as it was before. However, it isn’t bad either. If ones has the requisite skill set and a decent professional and social skills, there are jobs for you.And sorry to burst your bubble but the government doesn’t owe you a job. It never did, neither in the 1980s, when our dad’s were struggling nor today. It, however, owes us a stable economic environment where businesses can thrive. We have that now, we did not before. Lets’ give the credit where it is due.Thank you for your time, if you have manged to come this far.Footnotes[1] Fragile Five and the lesson of 2013[2] India’s journey from Fragile Five to favoured investment destination

Can I get readmission to FIITJEE with a scholarship?

I think you can. But just don't write anything about your previous enrollment at FIITJEE on your new enrollment forms. And make sure your name is struck off their list and you have officially have your name withdrewn from their records. And better I would suggest is to take admission into Vidya mandir Classes. They provide more quality education. FIITJEE is now all abouy making money for their employees.

How does Zenefits integrate their product with insurance companies?

I work in employee benefits and my guess is they don't/can't. To my knowledge only carriers allow large groups to auto feed enrollments. They probably have something like docusign to automate getting the enrollment form signed and then a broker on the back end manually does the transaction or forwards to the insurance company.
