PDF Editor FAQ

Did you ever think that a day would come where the U.S. Capitol would be breached by pro-Trump extremists who reject the outcomes of a democratic election? Has Trump made the US govt. look vulnerable in the eyes of allies and adversaries alike?

Yes to both. This is what happens when you elect an incompetent man-child.In just four years, the USA has lost all claims of global leadership.I am, however, thankful that the USA has now proven unequivocally that politics and elections matter. I am quite certain, that for the remainder of my lifetime here in Canada, we will never take an election lightly.

The US election is finally here. What does the rest of the world think about the US election in 2020? Does it matter or not?

I am an Australian-American living in Australia so the election is definitely on my mind. In Australia we don’t often talk to our neighbors about politics, even less so in social settings and almost never with strangers. Just isn’t done. This election in the US is somehow very different. In the past couple of days I have had every neighbor who passed by our house as I was out working in the front yard, stop and ask if I had voted? Or who did I vote for? What did I think? Who is going to win?Similarly almost everyone I meet when they hear my accent asks me much of the same questions. On line friends and relatives around the world cannot stop asking me or telling me their opinions. Everyone seems to get it that somehow the US matters and this election is a big deal. Maybe half of the time they say, 4 years ago I really still respected the US but now, I can’t stand hearing about all of your problems any more. Or a favorite is, what is with the gun people, are they out of their minds, we don’t need guns here in the UK or Australia or Singapore or Thailand or well, just about anywhere. In the end they cut to the chase and just invariably blurt out, you got to get rid of that guy, he is destroying not just the US but he is making it difficult for all of us. We never asked for the US to be a big part of our lives and maybe we can get along without you as if he is re elected we will have no choice, but my god man, what is wrong with his supporters? They won’t even wear masks and would rather die instead? They are sadly appalled not just by Trump but by his supporters. They wonder if the US which was always wild and wonderful has gone mad. If they could ever visit there again, if it will take years to sort out the pandemic as up to 50% of the Americans are saying they won’t take the vaccine. As one neighbor put it, well they won’t wear masks, they won’t take the vaccine, of course contact tracing is not possible, they don’t want any more restrictions and will bring out those big guns to show everyone they will not comply, well what are you gonna do mate? It’s about then that I get online and try to encourage people to vote, to not be intimidated, to not listen to any polls and to remember that they don’t just have their fate in their hands as they pull those levers or drop off their ballots, they have the rest of the worlds. We can get along without America being part of our lives, I guess, but we really don’t want to.No one wants to see this turn into violence, no one wants to see Trump reelected except for a few QAnon types which are everywhere now. Or the growing number of authoritarian regimes which seem to be following Trump’s example to attack their own citizens. So here is the summary from my neck of the woods and friends in many countries, America please vote him out and tell all those guys with guns to go home chill and then go to work like normal people. Like we do, battle with the virus using science, stop the pandemic, you can do this. And best of luck.

Who will stay with Trump no matter what happens from here on out until the 2020 election?

It seems more probable that there are many - millions in fact. And he can convince them to get on a rocket and take a trip to Mars, right after he charged them $1,000,000 a ticket, they would willfully and gladly do it.Why would I think that? Because a grifter will always grift. Case in point: As the various committees are looking into an impeachment, what does he do…? Bilk his followers for money. That made me laugh. Do they know what they are giving him money for? Re-Election? Okay, then — it is for the Party not him…but the letter IS about him. I guess the Republicans won’t wake up until trump SUES them for this money (he will) or has Bill Barr find the law of “finders-keepers” and because Trump raised the money and they didn’t have it before, ifto-facto the money is his.Sound crazy? Not anymore. I fully expect it if Trump wins or loses. The Republicans sold their souls and this devil is gonna come and collect. And as far as his followers, he’s gonna have them still. Like any cult of personality —there are still supporters like those of Jim Bakker, Rev. Ike, Robert Tilton, Tony Alamo ...and so on and so forth. (And those folks mentioned who are still alive…are still grifiting people and they are still giving their money to these folks. Honest!)Trump wins, he wins. He’ll still bilk his supporters. He looses, he’ll take many down with him and will continue to bilk to his supporters, and they will continue to give him money hats, cloth swatches, hate, whatever it takes - so yes, he’ll have millions of supporters no matter what.
