Here's the list of Books I followed during 11th and 12th for cracking AIIMS. I cracked the exam to reach AIIMS New Delhi so I guess I should recommend these books.BiologyNCERT - You've heard that a zillion times.Biology by Campbell - You may read Genetics and Evolution from this, if you think you've got some time. The book is expensive. Use a PDF. But don't invest too much time on this. This book is mainly useful if you want to crack the Biology Olympiad.Any NCERT based MCQ book. I used MTG's NCERT on your fingertips. This would be good to assess how well you are prepared with a chapter.Chapter-wise Previous Years AIIMS by MTG - This also gives you an idea of how well you are prepared. This is a combo-book containing Physics, Chemistry and Biology questions chapter by chapter.ChemistryNCERT - It comes again. Reading Inorganic and Organic is must. Also, the miscellaneous chapters on environment etc.Solomon and Fryhle's Organic ChemistryJD Lee's Inorganic Chemistry for JEEChapter-wise Previous Years AIIMS by MTG - This also gives you an idea of how well you are prepared. This is a combo-book containing Physics, Chemistry and Biology questions chapter by chapter.N.Avasthi for Physical Chemistry MCQsM.S.Chauhan for Organic Chemistry MCQsV.K.Jaiswal for Inorganic Chemistry MCQsI used the IIT version of the last 3 books. But the NEET one is also good to go.PhysicsNCERT - It had to come again. But you only need to read the chapters for whom more theory based and less numerical questions are asked. The rest can be taught well enough by your teacher. Still the book is a good read. I actually read the whole book.HCV - Remarkable book as a whole. Read the topics whatever you are uncomfortable with. Or if you've got time, read the complete book. I even read the chapter on Special Relativity… though that didn't help much for exam, but helps to understand wave optics better.Chapter-wise Previous Years AIIMS by MTG - This also gives you an idea of how well you are prepared. This is a combo-book containing Physics, Chemistry and Biology questions chapter by chapter.Chapter-wise previous year IIT questions - This book is available by many publications. I used the one by Arihant.I.E. Irodov - This little beauty is really really not required for the exam. But is definitely a pleasure to solve. I'd recommend solving few questions whenever you feel like getting challenged… XDAlso use some other MCQ book maybe the one by your coaching. That is must because scoring in physics is all about practice.During the end days, solving many previous year papers and full tests shall be the icing.

These sort of questions remind me of my NEET's first attempt. So before answering the actual question, I would like you to walk through and experience those moments.It was the year 2019. I had given my last board exam paper on 14 March. NEET was scheduled on 5th May. So I had roughly 50 days left for preparations. Out of them, first 15 days flew away in Holi celebration and other amusements.Like I said in my previous post, I had done no prior coaching in class 11 & 12 for NEET. Thanks to awesome school teachers and YouTube, I was conceptually very strong in class 12. Class 11th was an issue.I had somewhere in mind that I can definitely crack this exam and for which I was ready to do anything. I started intense preparations from April 1 (Probably fooling myself). I divided the entire syllabus of all 3 subjects in 30 parts and successfully completed it everyday. For the last 4 days in May, I planned of solving full syllabus question papers.I was an ISC board student and NCERT was something new for me. Despite that I started reading NCERT Biology. For physics I watched Subhash sir's 30 day "most wanted” physics series on YouTube and solved previous year questions from my GRB book. For Chem I just read my books and notes and solved previous year questions.Everything was going well until I realized something terrible in those last April days, something which I was not prepared for, something I completely missed out in my planning.“I was unable to recall whatever I had studied in the initial days”My masterplan lacked this basic but vital act of REVISION. Now whenever I saw those initial NCERT biology chapters, they felt completely new to me. The chemistry and physics formulae messed up in my head. My confidence declined. Somehow, I finished my syllabus overview by last of April.On 1st May I was to solve my first NEET mock test. So I downloaded a PDF of one previous year paper (Neet-2016), which was one of the hardest papers (I had no idea about this back then). Solving it was a horrible experience. It took me more than 3 hrs, could not solve many physics and chemistry questions. (I started having nightmares about the coming drop year). I was very depressed that day. My condition was like,I left my original plan of solving mock tests and spent the next 3 days in revision.Surprisingly, NEET 2019 paper was very easy but owing to my self-doubt and some other factors, I could not perform well. I got just 412 marks.So, did I tell this story to prove that you cannot crack neet in first attempt without coaching?Obviously not;You Can do it for sure.👍I told this story so that you might learn something from my mistakes.Here are some points which I would like to advise the freshers;Focus on the worthy- It is not necessary to cover the entire syllabus, study smart and prioritize important chapters first.Keep Revising whatever you have studied before. (It's a must)Honor your past- Do not study any new topic or concept or book in the last month. Have faith in your efforts.Practice adequate amount of 3 hours test papers (with OMR sheets). Don't wait for your entire syllabus to finish.Remember, every question (irrespective of it's difficulty level) carries the same 4 marks, so don't be afraid of leaving those hard chapters.Don't panic at the time of main exam. Thanks for A2ASome my personal strategy that can be useful for NEET 2021 -2022 are:1. Don’t waste your time in thinking about NEET exam format, selection, rumours, gossips, etc. Focus your thoughts on your studies, as wasteful thoughts take away your energy as well as time.2. Keep your NEET preparation study plan short and simple. Know your limits and stretch accordingly. There is no need to drown in caffeine to stay awake till late night. Tune your body naturally to adjust with the sleep-wake cycle as per your study plan.3. Whether you like to study at early morning or at late night, always begin your day by reading biology chapter from NCERT and at the end of the day revise the highlighted points from the same chapter. Keep NCERT book as your base book, whatever additional points you learn, put stick notes on NCERT pages to keep everything at one place. You can solve Fingertips AND NCR from allen (if you want pdf of it dm me), the most recommended book for NEET.4. It’s good to have study plan for your preparation but it should be flexible also. For example, if you want to study Physics in early hours and your study plan tells you to study Biology, then do what you are interested in and let your brain like it.5. As per the toppers NEET preparation plan recommended time is 8-11 hours in a day. You may make your schedule accordingly but important is to stick to that. Besides NCERT reading, in Physics and Chemistry solve 75-100 numerical and objective problems every day.6. Make a pocket diary to write important formulas and points which you can revise anywhere.7. Stay healthy to stay wise. Eat healthy and balanced diet. Stay hydrated and drink plenty of fluids. Take sound sleep and adequate breaks in between the study schedule. Do not neglect your health by starving or living on junk food. Remember if you fall ill, you’ll lose next few days of studying.8. Don’t try to be Jack of all Trades (and master of nothing). Focus on your strength and try improving your weak areas, but in this process don’t forget to polish your strong areas. You can be good at Physics or Biology, remember one thing, you just need 150+ correct questions which can be from any subject.9. Seek help from teachers, seniors or your friends for understanding topics in which you are weak. Don’t feel shy in seeking help. All you need is an understanding of topics, and some practice to perfect them. This is one of the most important point in your NEET Preparation.10. Make judicious use of the internet for your preparation. Watch video lecturers, take online tests for NEET, watch animated videos on Biology topics to understand the abstract information. In spite of its advantages, internet can engulf you with its numerous resources. You need to keep a check on how much time to spend on internet and that too for just study purpose.11. It is advisable to deactivate social media accounts.You’ll have withdrawal symptoms but after a few days you’ll completely forget about social networking sites.12. Right after your boards, start solving Mock Test and Previous year as much as you can. This is best way to judge your NEET Preparation.13. Maintain proper folders for chapterwise tests, half syllabus mock tests and full-length mock tests. Similarly, maintain notebooks for notes. Be systematic in filing your papers as you will find it really easy to revise at the end.14. Remember you are your best critic! Be strict with yourself. For example, give yourself targets as some chapters, some problems or objectives and see what your score is. Set score higher for the next test than what you scored in this test. Reward yourself for target achieved and penalise for target not achieved.15. As a key strategy to prepare for NEET, you must know the weightage of topics in each chapter. You can also chart down this by analysing previous years papers. Now you have only priorities important topics depending on your interest and study them. Remember, you have to do them all, sooner or later anyway.16. It’s a sin to cram Physics formulae without understanding the base concepts. Most questions are not direct. So, try and understand the concept behind everything you should so much so that you can derive the formulae by yourself when you solve application-based questions. Prepare from Any Coaching module or from Arihant Publication to learn core concepts with more understanding and clarity.17. Chemistry is a subject for which you have to keep on solving equations, understand the structural formation of compounds especially in organic chemistry With good practice, you will get good at it with time.18. For Biology read, read and read. Most questions from Biology are pretty direct, but there is so much information that it is really difficult to remember even very easy questions.
