My Family Have Buy Some Land: Fill & Download for Free

Easy peasy. Easy to explain, hard to do it. My grandparents homesteaded. In fact, generations of my family did it. My great grandparents did, and their parents great grandparents did too.You get a chunk of land. Back then, for free, from the government. They had to turn it into farmland, and build a permanent shelter/home. Back then they had a number of years to develop it into farm land (part of the “free” deal).Today you’d buy the land. Today the government doesn’t care how long development takes, and doesn’t expect substantial property taxes any time soon, which is part of the appeal for modern homesteaders.First, trees are cut down. At least enough for a home, possibly hundreds to provide land for fields. The logs themselves are stacked and seasoned for a year to use as building material, or just for firewood. After the trees are cleared, a homesteader pulls the stumps and roots, and burns those.After clearing, homesteaders have to break the land, loosening the soil so it can be farmed. Hard, heavy work, and there is additional problems like picking rocks and boulders out of the soil, and perhaps old deeper roots. Big boulders might require blasting. Most every homestead had a fairly large rockpile beside each field and it would grow every year as more rocks surfaced in the field, and were picked and piled up.There can be huge hornets nests and whatnot under the ground, but this is not such an issue with modern closed cab tractors. It is an issue when they did it old style, with horses.On prairies you can skip right past cutting trees down, to breaking the hard soil up but back then that caused the additional complication of not having trees to build a home. But today, there isn’t really any raw prairie to homestead.In modern times you can skip all that if you don’t intend to farm, but its probably a good idea to have a vegetable garden, and to break some land for a house.My great grandparents started on prairie, and had a sod house (basically blocks of soil used as bricks to build walls), while my grandparents had a log shack to start, then later a proper log house. Today grandma lives in a more modern farmhouse.Here is the log shack, with my dad standing in front of it, his first home. In the decades since, the forest has started growing back. I think it has been cleared a few times since. My cousin farms the land except for this one spot. He might be leaving it till my grandmother dies. He probably should have ploughed it under 40 years ago, but now she’s 98, and doing it now would be a little bit tasteless.

My wife left me for another man a few days before Christmas 2015. She left me with our 9 year old daughter and 2 year old son. I had to deal with questions about where was mommy while they were opening their Christmas presents. How did I find out she was with another man? I eventually had to resign and get a job that paid a lot less but gave me a stable schedule to work out the kids’ schedule.She came back about 6 months after and apologized and cried and wanted to be forgiven. I put her on a pedestal while we were together and worshipped her as my queen but knew I could never feel the same about her again. Even so, I still tried to forgive her so the kids could have some semblance of a stable family. So I gave her a chance but she changed her mind again.Now it has been two years. I am just starting to date again after spending a year trying to wash away the loneliness in all the wrong places. I don’t think about her as much. Financially it has been difficult as she raided our accounts before she left me. I am getting laid off from the stable job but that is ok. Other opportunities have popped up and I can continue to take care of the kids. Still, life is kind of numb. Now I am moving the kids to another country just to get away from the constant reminder of shattered dreams. My family members are 7 - “yes” (2 Children, 3 Olders, me and wife - my earning only for my family running for the last 4 years)Spending for Necessary things - Milk 3k, Rice and other Groceries 5k, Fruits & Vegetables 2k, Snacks & others foods 2k - Total Rs.12,000- per month.Medical - average for those 7 members (routine medical expenses) - Rs.3,000 Per month.Travel to Office and my expenses / visiting to nearby places / visiting relatives homes - Rs.5,000 per month.Medical Insurance for 4 members (not for olders) per year Rs.12,000 (Note - it is very benefit and safety one) - Rs.1,000 per monthLIC Insurance Premium only - Rs.2,000 per month.My Girl Child (8 Years) Post Office Saving (Suganya Samriddhi Yojana) - Rs.500 per month.School Fees for my Girl Child - Rs.2,500 per monthNo EMI (having 10 year old bike - maintained in good condition)Saving Rs.4,000 per month (it may be less as per our medical expenses —-So, take an average saving amount of Rs.3000 per month x 12 = Rs.36,000 per year- from this only i am spending / managing for other expenses - like Clothings, Outings, Buying Home Necessary Electronic Items & maintenances and Ornaments.Last 15 years of Savings - having Rs.1 L for my emergency need.I have invest my moms savings of Rs.3,00,000 in a Land 10 years before and sold the same before 3 years and buy a Small Land and constructed a building from the sale benefit. Own house so here is No Rent. Earning is small (for 7members) but managing the salary by Thrift. Here is good. But also some eager for me and my family to live a Luxury Life - but my life is going this way only.
