This policy directly affects me today and will affect my future generations tomorrow.Few figures and facts:1) After 4.5 years of the Rule, Incumbent decided to Amend 2 major Fundamental rights under article 15 & 16 on the last day of the last session of the Parliament in the most hurried manner.2) For any bill to be taken up in the house it is a custom to inform Business advisory committee 2 days prior. This allows Parliamentarians to read empirical data or do some research before taking a stand. No such prior information was given,Parliamentarians were given a surprise on the last day of the Lok Sabha & session of RS extended.3) The forefathers of our Constitution never envisaged the policy of reservation for poverty alleviation but it was for representation of ‘Socially and Educationally backward sections’ it was not envisaged to be based on castes but oppressed sections. Thanks to Vote bank casteist politics which lead to political parties allowing various castes to be called socially and educationally backward.4) In India 93.3% of the population declare their income to be in 2.5-5 lakh bracket. If the intention is even bonafide what purpose will this 10% quota solve which will anyway include almost 93%+ population.5) It will be over and above 50% set limit by SC. It means 60% of the seats will now be reserved. There is a long history that populist measures once taken NEVER GETS ROLLED BACK, who would like to give up one’s quota?? And what about the Meritorious students who find no representation in already starved jobless growth? Where are the jobs actually? I can give you figures for UPSC CSE:2014-1300+ seats2015-1120+ seats2016-1095 seats2017–980 seats2018-785(truncated even more in between the course of exam as interviews are still pending)I wish I started preparing for this exam prior to 2016.6) I condemn this policy because it has opened the FLOOD GATES for more different kinds of reservation. It will incentivise tax evasion, money laundering and benami properties because after all parents would also want their kids to get benefits of so called reservation.—As of now Tamil Nadu stands with 69% reservation so now it would mean 79% if this pass the test of Judiciary and RS.—Maharashtra would stand with 77% and above.I invite people to criticise my stance if they want to with Logical arguments and stats. Not with emotional rhetorics and fanaticism by praising a Demigod.PS: I am not an urban naxal or pro-Congress. I am just a normal rational mortal citizen who can see the country being mired by Wrong Precedents. In the Lok Sabha debate there was also the proposal to increase OBC reservation from 27% to 54% in commensuration with their population, and also come up with a bill to allow Reservation in Private sector. Well this will surely be done by another party in coming years :) as I said WRONG PRECEDENTS. I hope and pray wisdom be prevailed by the last resort i.e. JUDICIARY.Edit-1 And my apprehensions might come right:Indeed Mr. Modi what a landamark historic amendment which will make us more progressive(slow claps):
