First to the others who are surprised at you asking so many questions - what causes this basically are the papers and YouTube videos. Particularly the Daily Express has been promoting David Meade’s book on the end of the world very heavily all summer, dozens of articles all about this one book. Recently several a day all on this one subject.For us as scientists and astronomers we are immune to them as the astronomy is plain daft. But for young children (we don’t know the questioner’s age but I’d say half of the scared people who contact me are schoolchildren so 50 / 50 chance probably that this is a school child asking) and for young adults who flunked physics at school - they find these stories convincing to the point that many are even suicidal over them. They ask the same questions over and over because they are so scared.Short Summary: This is a debunk David Meade says various daft things that are so silly that hopefully you can see that it is all just laughable.Things like Trump and Pence levitated into the clouds at the end of October, Russia, China and North Korea collaborating in a surprise nuclear attack on the US, the US splitting in two with a large distance between the two halves, an earthquake larger than any recorded and two simultaneous tsunamis hitting opposite coasts of the US, Yellowstone erupting in magma flows, and before all that, an eclipse of the sun during full Moon (so not by the Moon) on October 5th.It’s like he has pulled all the stops out to predict as many scary things as he can, all in October, and in so doing gone so over the top that I hope even those who wonder if we have two suns will just LOL. And remember he predicted stuff like this in 2015 already - so we can relax and look forward to watching him make a total fool of himself - as he has already of course to anyone with a reasonable scientific or theological background.MORE DETAILED SUMMARYHe says that there will be an eclipse of the sun on the 5th October. As this is full Moon then such an eclipse couldn’t be caused by the Moon so would be very remarkable. It’s not a scary date because all he says will happen is an eclipse so it will be an epic fail if nothing happens as the astronomers of course predict.He says that there will be a surprise nuclear attack by North Korea, China and Russia on the US at the end of October. Again this is bizarre, China and Russia have no reason to attack the US, the cold war is long over, there is no way they would be interested in being allies with North Korea with its unreliable ICBMs that keep blowing up and may go off course, China is an uncomfortable ally of North Korea with its strange religion of Chendoism, a form of Confucianism, and is as uncomfortable about its possession of nuclear weapons as anyone else, Russia ditto, and North Korea has no reason to do a pre-emptive attack on the US with one thing guaranteed that it would be a disaster for them.He also says that a billion people will be levitated into the sky at the end of October shortly after this attack, including President Trump and vice president Pence. It also means that if you are in New York, your GPS will say that you are south of Mexico City - or shifted by a similar amount in some other direction. This will be very noticeable.He says that the US will be split in half with a great distance between the halves, and a tsunami traveling at 600 mph will hit San Fransisco, and another one simultaneously hit the East coast, and a volcanic eruption in Yellowstone will produce huge amounts of lava flow.All of this, he says, will happen before the end of October.He says all this will lead to re-election of president Obama - to an illegal third term. How likely is that?So we have lots of epic fails to look forward to in October. Hopefully this will help make him the laughing stock he should have been all along. His understanding of politics is on a par with his understanding of astronomy and of theology! Pretty much non existent.DETAILSDavid Meade is now saying that nothing will happen during September. Instead, he has made some very specific predictions for October. Hopefully you’ve learnt your lesson by now that he is a bullshitter. But the Daily Express is already promoting these predictions. So what are they? He has weaseled out of his September prediction - which was at the very least that there would be a dramatic sign in the sky over Jerusalem - did you hear anything in the news about that? Also - for weeks he let the Daily Express run story after story saying the world would end on September 23 - where were his objections then? Anyone can comment on the articles there - he could have just commented saying they had got his ideas all wrong - or written an article on his own blog saying that he was being misquoted by the media. But no. He only does that a few days before September 23.At any rate the predictions he makes for next month are very specific, and extremely dramatic, things that he can’t possibly claim were misrepresented as he says them himself in his own articles. They start with a dramatic turn of events, an impossible eclipse of the sun during a full Moon when the Moon is opposite sides of the Earth from the Sun.So he is bound to have an epic fail when these things don’t happen.Remember that he has had many failed past predictions. Dave Greg and Tiffany Wilson unearthed this one for instance, from 2013:“Comet ISON is predicted to be 15x the brightness of a Full Moon, visible during daylight. It is the comet of the Millenium and perhaps the greatest comet of all times …”“The comet ISON could be very dangerous. It has to pass through our asteroid belt which could disturb things there. It could break apart and pose even more of a threat, or we could get hit by debris as we pass through the tail on its way out of our solar system. We certainly will be plummeted with its dust. It could trigger solar flares. It could move from its projected path for any unseen reason. It is very unpredictable.”Comet Ison – The Comet of the MillenniumActually, nothing much happened, it disintegrated as it passed the Sun.He also predicted that the end of days would start in 2015 in his 2015 book.So - I think, even without the astronomical absurdities of what he says, it would be pretty clear that nothing is going to happen this time eitherSo we know what to expect now. So this is more of the same.But let’s see what he says. I hope, amongst other things, the truly bizarre nature of his “prophesies” will help you see through it.Here is Dave Greg and Tiffany Wilson’s hangout - I’ve got most of this material from them.So anyway what are his predictions, so that we can laugh at him when they don’t happen?SUN ECLIPSED ON OCTOBER 5TH DURING FULL MOONFirst on the full Moon, October 5th, he predicts an eclipse of the Sun by Nibiru. That would be very dramatic as it couldn’t possibly be the Moon doing it at full Moon when the Moon is the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun.Solar eclipses all happen during new Moon. No astronomer is predicting this. That’s a “Black Sun” which has to be what he means by the title of the article as “Planet X to eclipse Sun in October 2017”No other reading of the book possible.So when October 5 passes and there isn’t an eclipse of the Sun - that’s a clear fail.OTHER PREDICTIONS FOR OCTOBERThis is from his: Six blood moons: Apocalypse 2017“… the “wonder of the woman” appearing in the sky over Jerusalem on September 23, 2017…”That’s what should have happened already. The “appearing in the sky over Jerusalem” - how can that have happened?“We experience unusual weather, storms, volcanism and seismic activity. Superquakes can be expected at the level of 9.8 and greater beginning in the fall of this year.”That is an extraordinary prediction. The largest earthquake ever recorded is magnitude 9.5 Largest Earthquake Recorded - World's Biggest Earthquake“Supervolcanoes exist, such as Mauna Loa in Hawaii. When this breaks off, it will create a supertsunami that will head toward Japan, the East Coast of the U.S. and South America at the speed of Mach 1–740 mph. There are also volcanic islands in the Azores that could break off and send a tsunami of water to the East Coast of the U.S.”“The other major events that will occur during the actual passage of Planet X in October includes a coronal mass ejection from the sun which will impact the earth’s electrical grid and a pole shift of upwards to 30 degrees that will create major tsunamis as the oceans’ waters are lifted from the basin.”Well a 30 degree pole shift will be very noticeable! The pole star will no longer be due North. He doesn’t say in what direction - but to give you an idea of the scale, this means the pole star will shift as far away from the celestial north pole as Dubhe, the nearest star of the two in the big dipper that point their way to the pole starAlpha Ursae Majoris - WikipediaIt also means that your GPS will say that you are south of the equator when you are in the UK (or vice versa, depending which way the pole shifts relative to the orbiting satellites).Nobody could miss that.“Then the debris cloud that follows the system will create major asteroid events.”“FEMA and the other lettered US agencies have known about these upcoming events for 30 years but the information has been compartmentalized and classified so that fewer than 30 or 40 people know about it. Nor would they have any reason to go to war with the US. The world is so interconnected now, it’s a different situation from the cold war. Any major global war is going to impact on everyone.They are not even threatening each other at present.Also China and Russia do not support North Korea at all. The North Koreans aren’t really Communist. They are Confucians, belonging to a strange sect called Chendoism. China and Russia have no connection with Chendoism and there is no way they are going to embrace this belief system.North Korea’s only ally is China and it is an uneasy alliance. Mainly, China are uneasy at the idea of the US having control of North Korea. They also don’t want to create a refugee situation in North Korea that would cause millions of North Korean refugees to flood into China. That’s the main reason they are dragging their feet on the sanctions. We don’t know what he was saying exactly but from the summaries it is pretty much the same as he is saying now, that the end of the world was imminent, except he said this two years ago.This book had so little impact that we can't find anything about it except Amazon customer comments and summaries on Goodreads and Google books. It has been withdrawn from sale. But the company will look to support their 2019 projects Mix Nine and Stray Kids. They recently formed a partnership with The Orchard in hopes of expanding their reach outside of Korea. The K-pop entertainment companies have all suffered due to the scandal of Seungri.LVMH invested $80 into YG Entertainment and China’s social media giant Tencent and its related online ticketing company Weiying Technology agreed to invest $85 million into YG Entertainment in 2016. Weiying owns 8.2% of YG and Tencent owns 4.5%. They also got a huge partnership/investment from Naver, South Korea’s largest internet portal for around $90 million (9% equity stake).Their current top group is Black Pink who are traveling across Asia in early 2019. They have also partnered with Universal Music Group’s representative label, Interscope. Winner will also look to start their U.S. tour in 2019.The Seungri ScandalHowever, the key to YG will be the comeback of Big Bang after most have now finished their military service. But is that possible with the Seungri scandal? FNC started to focus more on dance. FNC has been known for cool/hipe bands like CNBLUE, SF9, and AOA who have all transitioned into more of a dance group.TV vs MusicHowever, the biggest star for FNC Entertainment is not even a K-Pop star but the famous Yoo Jae Suk who they signed in 2017. That signing alone rose FNC’s stock prices by 30% raising the company’s value to close to $300 million. Therefore FNC relies more on their T.V. talent than singers. This might be a good strategy moving forward as they will not be able to compete with the Big 3 and for sure not Big Hit.Veteran actors Lee Dong Gun will continue to help FNC as they look to split their talent base down the middle. SF9 is who FNC will focus the most on in 2019. They are looking to push them in Japan as well as Latin America. Their new female group Cherry Bullet will also debut in 2019.
