School shootings are very, very rare which makes them fall under the term of being an abnormality.Second off, when law enforcement officers look at crime there are some types of crime that routinely happen over and over. In a traffic division you can expect to routinely handle so many fatal wrecks each year as well as so many DUI arrests, non-injury accidents and so on. Same thing applies to the robbery division and so on. Crimes are either routine (normally happen) or rarely happen (abnormalities like a school shooting).Third off, school shootings for police are so rare, so abnormal, that over 99.999% of all police officers will never be involved in one in any way, shape or form.
