How can we solve the student debt crisis?
How To Get Your Student Loans Forgiven: Three PathsThere are three ways to have student loans forgiven and none of them are easily attainable. The first is based on the type of career you choose. The second is based on you how many years you make on-time payments while enrolled in a qualifying repayment plan. The last one requires a set of extraordinary circumstances that rarely come into play, but nonetheless could result in loan forgiveness. The first two are available for federal student loans only and the last one is achievable for federal or private student loans.Be aware that there is an important difference between having a loan “discharged” and having one “forgiven.” Loan forgiveness typically is given to someone who performs works at a qualified job, such as teaching in a high-need area, for a specific length of time and has the amount left on their student loan forgiven. Loan discharge is rare, but can be granted to borrowers who can’t repay the loan for a variety of reasons such as death, disability, fraud, identity theft and in very scarce circumstances, bankruptcy.Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF)Public Service Loan Forgiveness was created by the College Cost Reduction and Access Act of 2007 to lessen the burden of student loans for highly-qualified graduates and encourage them to pursue careers in the public service sector. This forgiveness option is available for Direct Federal Student Loans; Direct Plus loans and Direct Consolidation loans. Private student loans are not eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. To receive loan forgiveness under this program, you must be a full-time employee (at least 30 hours per week) in public service job and make 10 years of on-time monthly payments (120) after consolidating your federal loans in a qualified repayment program. This forgiveness option applies solely to Direct Federal Student Loans. Private student loans are not eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. To receive loan forgiveness under this program, you must be a full-time employee (at least 30 hours per week) in public service job and make 10 years of on-time monthly payments (120) after consolidating your federal loans in a qualified repayment program.Public Service Jobs Qualifying for Public Service Loan Forgiveness:Any job in a government organization at the federal, state, local or tribal levelNot-for-profit organizations that are designated tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3)Other not-for-profit organizations that are not tax-exempt but provide a qualifying public serviceFull-time AmeriCorps and Peace Corps volunteersThe most common public service careers are in education, law enforcement, health, public law, and veterinary medicine.Repayment Plans Qualifying for Public Service Loan ForgivenessIncome-Based Repayment Plan (IBR)Income-Contingent Repayment Plan (ICR)Pay As You Earn Repayment Plan (PAYE)Revised Pay As You Earn Repayment Plan (REPAYE)Note that the 10-year Standard Repayment Plan also is considered a qualifying plan, but because it is a 10-year plan, there won’t be any funds left to forgive. If you plan to enroll in a PSLF program, you need to enroll in a repayment plan that extends your loan term beyond 10 years. To apply for PSLF, you must fill out a Employment Certification Form every year and make pay stubs, W-2 forms or other documentation available as requested. The first wave of student loan borrowers eligible for loan forgiveness met their final required payment in October of 2017. News stories say that many of the people who thought they had qualified, were denied loan forgiveness because they didn’t meet the prescribed requirements.According to a 2017 report from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, more than 550,000 borrowers are expecting to have their loans forgiven. If you are enrolled in the program, you should track your progress at least once-a-year to be certain you are meeting all requirements. However, President Donald Trump has proposed eliminating the program to anyone who hasn’t enrolled by July 1, 2018. Congress hasn’t voted on that proposal as of the Spring of 2018. For more information on this path to loan forgiveness, visit Public Service Loan Forgiveness.Teacher Loan Forgiveness ProgramThe Teacher Loan Forgiveness program was created in 1998 to encourage teachers to take jobs at elementary schools, secondary schools and educational service agencies that serve low-income families. The U.S. Department of Education publishes the list of low-income elementary schools and secondary schools each year. You need to teach fulltime at a qualifying school for five full and consecutive years. Then you are eligible to have from $5,000 to up to $17,500 in loans forgiven.Only Direct subsidized and unsubsidized loans qualify. PLUS loans do not qualify. There are 13 states that offer some form of loan forgiveness for teachers, with varying requirements.Apply to the program by completing the Teacher Loan Forgiveness Application and submitting it to your loan servicer.Loan Forgiveness for NursesRegistered nurses, nurse practitioners and members of nursing faculty, who work in high-need population areas or areas where there is a critical shortage could qualify to have up to 85% of their loans forgiven under the NURSE Corps Loan Repayment Program.Qualified candidates can have 60% of their student loans forgiven for working two years in an underserved area. Another 25% could be forgiven for working three years. Some states also offer loan repayment assistance. Go to the Loan Forgiveness for Nurses website to see if yours is one of the 33 states that has one and what the eligibility requirements are.Loan Forgiveness for DoctorsThe healthcare professions, especially physicians, dentists, pharmacists and mental healthcare workers, have several options, both national and local, to receive loan forgiveness. The requirements and the amount forgiven vary dramatically, depending upon which program you enter. For example, the Navy Financial Assistance Program offers up to $275,000 in loan forgiveness in return for an eight-year commitment for active and reserve duty. The National Health Service Corps offers up to $50,000 in loan repayment for two years of work at an approved site.Check out the links to see the amount of loan forgiveness available and requirements for Army doctors; Indian Health Services, National Institute of Health, as well as state-by-state programs.Loan Forgiveness for LawyersLike most professions, there is a financial incentive for lawyers to spend a few years practicing in public service or government offices in order to have some portion of their law school loan forgiven. For example, the Department of Justice provides up to $60,000 in loan forgiveness for lawyers who work there for at least three years. The Air Force Judge Advocate program offers up to $65,000 in loan forgiveness. The best place to start looking might be your own law school, since several colleges forgive some or all of the student loans for students who make less than $60,000 a year. That amount varies, so check with your school to get actual requirements and amount forgiven. If you can't qualify for a forgiveness program, look into refinancing your law school debt.Loan Forgiveness for MilitaryEach branch of the military has programs that help qualified members pay off their student loans, but the loan amounts forgiven and the requirements that must be met vary dramatically. The best to find out all that is involved in military loan forgiveness is to visit the Complete Guide to Military Student Loan Forgiveness and Repayment and find the program that best suits your situation and branch of the military.Federal Perkins Loan CancellationFederal Perkins Loans have a separate forgiveness program because your school is the lender, not the federal government. To apply, contact the financial aid office at the school that administered your Perkins Loan and request the application forms. You need to be a full-time employee in a qualified career. Is your credit score is holding you back fro being approved a loan, If you want to raise your credit score and delete negatives or collections. Why do people sin?
I can go on forever with this question. I will try to keep it short. Please know, this is what I take away and understand after reading the Bible, it's my way of understanding the Bible and Sin.Answere to your question “why do humans still sin”.Because we were lied to by the false prophets. We were taught Jesus (Immanuel עמנואל - God is with us) came to earth to die for our sins (which is correct) however, teachers prophets have taught “don't worry if you weak and you sin ‘it's forgiven'”. So, people sin. Believing they can live as they please? And children look to big people like sponges and learn. The truth is “Adam and Eve walked and fellowship with God”, He gave them one commandment - do not touch the tree of good and evil.1 Corinthians 10:21You cannot drink the cup of the Lord אדוני and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's אדוני table and the table of demons.2 Corinthians 6:14Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? So, as you know, Adam's rib was taken out of him, (our ribs protect our heart, our soul, our breath), and his rib became flesh, his helper, his woman.Satan saw Adam was seperated from his rib, the weaker part of Adam. Satan went out to destroy Adam, the snake charmed Eve and spoke lies to her and was able to deceive her to take part of the tree of good and evil (false prophet) cutting her off from Adam and God. Shutting down the garden of Eaden and banishing Adam and Eve, from God's אלוהים presence. The old testament is a book of traching (Torah). And the false prophets tell is to ignore the Old Testament. The Old Testament shows that after the Garden of Eaden God no longer walked with man, and only spoke to humans through a person He chose. And we also learn how God taught His people who He was. Then He gave them the 10 Words - Commandments (our protection against evil) it is our armour - go read Psalms 119.Just as God created the animals and earth, by speaking it into being - He spoke His Word into a human, so His Word may become flesh. Immanuel עמנואל God is with us.He came to correct/pardon forgive our sins, the sin of Adam and Eve that had seperated God from man and the sin of this sinful world we are born into, and the sins passed down from our generations onto us. Connecting us to God again. Having us walk and talk with Him again, as He did with Adam and Eve. Giving all who keep the 10 Commandments an opportunity to be in His presence. The day you were born, God breathed into your nostrils, a gift of love, Life, our Soul. The core of us is God's breath, God is love in us. Our soul is His love in us.Like there was a garden of Eaden, then Earth, another earth is coming for them who love God. Love (Agape) to God means being obedient. With obedience comes much favour and fellowship with God. God wants to have the obedient live this life again, without evil in the world for 1000 years. Then He will obviously see if not sinning is possible? Because after the 1000 years, He then wakes up all mankind and we face judgement for our sins.It is for you to go read the Hebrew version of the bible. The bible has been tampered with. Things have been added, incorrect translation has been put to us, false teaching and books have been kept out of the Bible. So the Bible is not the full Truth. It is incomplete and the New Testament has been tampered with. The following Bible verse is beautiful, but a little conflicting (due to translation or tampering???) 1 John 2. And it would be good to read in the Hebrew/ Arabic translarion. The point I'm trying to make, I guess is verse 27. His spirit in us is our teacher, because humans come across as sincere and good Christians, good people but they can be evil in disguise and lead you astray through twisting The Word as satan had done with the Immanuel in the desert.Verse 22. I would like to read in the Aramaic/Hebrew as well. Because many false prophets declare Jesus Christ is the Son of God, yet lead us astray with lies. They just twist and added things to pull the wool over our eyes.It says “to love God is being obedient” then they speak on forgiveness of sins? So people hang on that forgiveness of sins and go about sinning - believing they can. Because an interpretation, has made them feel safe. Leading people to sin. False prophets. Why have the 10 Commandments, yet we may sin? Makes no sense? When Adam and Eve broke one Commandment, the were banished.Matthew 19: Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19. honor your father and mother,’and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’”He recites the Commandments - that means they stand.People been told Jesus came to fulfill the law “quite correct” - the Old Testament (we were told not to read) teaches of Immanuel and all he was going to do and His mission on earth and that He was going to walk the earth - He did as it was written, He came, meaning He fulfilled what was written in the Old Testament.fulfil1.achieve or realize (something desired, promised, or predicted)."he wouldn't be able to fulfil his ambition to visit Naples"synonyms:succeed in, attain, realize, consummate, satisfy, manage, bring off, bring about, carry off, carry out, carry through, bring to fruition, deliver; informalpull something off, clinch"I knew I could fulfil my ambition to be a millionaire before I was thirty"2.carry out (a duty or role) as required, promised, or expected."some officials were dismissed because they could not fulfil their duties"synonyms:carry out, accomplish, achieve, execute, perform, discharge, implement, effect, effectuate, conduct; complete, bring to completion, finish, conclude, perfect; honour, be true to, keep faith with, make good, observe"some officials were dismissed because they could not fulfil their duties"That doesn't do away with the 10 Commandments. If your boss tells you to go to a different country and deliver documents and teach them what the documents mean. And he sends the company that you going to an email explaining who you are, your ID and what you going to be doing. And you go and the company receives you and you do as your boss instructed you to do - you have fulfilled your bosses instructions, you have done your job that you are qualified to do - you never changed the company's name nor laws of your job appointment - fulfill doesn't mean to change, you followed through, you did your job. Fulfilled your job.Matthew 19:17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?”Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the Commandments.”1 John 2 New International Version2. My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.Love and Hatred for Fellow Believers3. We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5. But if anyone obeys his Word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6. Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.7. Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard. 8. Yet I am writing you a new command; it's truth is seen in him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining.9. Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. 10. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. 11. But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.Reasons for Writing12. I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.13. I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning.I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one.14. I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father.I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning.I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the Word of God lives in you,and you have overcome the evil one.On Not Loving the World15. Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17. The world and it's desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.Warnings Against Denying the Son18. Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. 19. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.20. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. 21. I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. 22. Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. 23. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.24. As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25. And this is what he promised us—eternal life.26. I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. 27. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.God’s Children and Sin28. And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confidentand unashamed before him at his coming.29. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him._________________oo0oo___________I walked with God. I obeyed His Commandments. I had my prayers answered - not in my way, but answered. I would be shown things, especially evil people. Then my husband put me on FaceBook. Told me to go make friends. He is very busy and travels. I was happy with my dogs only. Mark wanted me to learn things of the world and believed I must interact with the world, through the internet.I knew NOTHING about social media, zilch, zip. So I accepted every friend request on FaceBook. Not remembering our childhood warning “don't open the door to strangers - stranger danger”.Met someone who claimed to be a Christian, I believed him, he knows the Bible backwards. Made me look ignorant. So I loaned my ears out to him. Me not knowing about preditors nor narcissists, and not understanding Fale Prophets. I believed false prophet were still to come and they were foing to have people renounce God and uave fire come from heaven and have our heads chopped off. Devil looking people.Me believing devils people are ugly looking people with black clothes and greasy hair, horns, like Hollywood shows us what bad people look like. This person came in such light. We spoke for days and months and I didn't know about grooming. I just thought I gained a friend. And I was over the moon happy. I had a friend. I had my own best friend that wanted to talk with me. Interested in what I thought about. Interested in my mind. Everything opposite to my husband.Long story short - I broke the 10 Commandments and my life has never been the same again. I live harrassed by weird thoughts and feelings I'm not familiar with. I've begged forgiveness, begged. Yet my walk with God is broken. Only now do I realize the 10 Commandments are truly real and my marriage covenant is broken and the covenant we have with God, broken. You do not want to find out the Bible is real, after you have broken the 10 Commandments. It SUCKS i now understand so much of the bible. I finally see that every word is Truth. A bit late. So I guess I will be one of them people to be woken up and judged after 1000 years have passed. I'm scared. And I now follow the Bible and keep the Commandments. I can believe I'm forgiven. But if I was forgiven, why is my walk with God different? Why is my marriage not fixed. Just things I ponder on. Hence I believe “the forgiveness of our sins” are the sins made before you get to know God. I knew God and I broke the Commandments. I am so very sorry. And I feel like I'm in loads of trouble and I don't know how to get back what I was. I feel evil.
