Inspections of areas such as LPG storage plants, LPG Loading/Unloading facilities, LPG Bottling plants are very important and mandatory to avoid catastrophic disaster and environmental damage which may be caused due to fire in LPG or leakage of the same. There are different types of Inspection checklists for different types of facilities. This inspection checklists is provided by OISD - Oil Industry Safety Directorate which is a regulatory body of the GOI - Government of India which is guided by MoPNG - Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

For example… If a property does not have an attic, like a flat roofed condo, then this particular item cannot be checked. The items must be visually accessible and relevant to the inspection. Heavy furniture and other household items may limit the inspection where certain items on the checklist cannot be seen. This happens when a heavy dresser is covering an area of the wall, for example.Any item(s) on the checklist that are limited visually, unsafe to inspect or restricted must be verbally disclosed to the client and revealed in the written report.Common areas (In Vancouver) are not included within the scope of work or standard or practice. However, an inspector may choose to evaluate them anyway. For example, the condition of appliances or the presence of pests are not listed but may be included if negotiated.Whether they will be inspected or not depends on the business practices of each inspector when items are not legally required.
