No.I continue to be amazed at the number of people who simply have no idea of how voting actually works outside of where they live.I live in NY. We don’t require ID at the polls.Let’s say you were a person from a foreign nation who decided to fly to NY and vote. First consideration: voting fraudulently is a felony. You could be sent to jail if caught. That’s the risk. The reward is…one vote cast for whatever candidates you favor. Does that seem like a good risk/reward tradeoff to you? It certainly doesn’t to me.But hey, you decide, I only live once and dammit, I’m going to vote for Jo Jorgensen even though I don’t even live in the US.So you show up at a polling place. If it’s like mine, there are a number of districts that share a common room. So first you need to know what precinct you’re going to vote in, so you’re going to have to have come up with some street address that the nice person helping people figure out where to vote will recognize and point you to the right table.You’re going to walk up to the table and say “hi” to the nice poll workers. They’re going to ask “what’s your name?” You’re going to have to give them the name of someone registered in that precinct. So you’re going to have had to have figured that out ahead of time, too.Here’s where it gets tricky: not only do you have to know the name of someone who is already registered in the precinct you’ve selected, you have a few other things to worry about:Has that person already voted? What are you going to tell the now-less-friendly poll worker if they look in their record book and say “it says here that you already voted”.Does either of the poll workers know the person you’re claiming to be? That would lead to a different but equally uncomfortable situation.Does anyone else in earshot (because this is conducted in an open room — the fact that you voted isn’t secret, just who you voted for) know the person you’re claiming to be?But you’re in luck. The person you’re pretending to be hasn’t voted, and no one who might hear you knows them. So now all you have to do is…sign your name in the poll record book next to the sample signature from your registration form. And do it well enough that the poll worker doesn’t look at the two signatures and suggest that they really don’t look very much alike and who are you anyway?If you get through that, then yes, you can fraudulently cast one vote and hope nothing turns up later (like the person you pretended to be coming in later to vote) that would lead the authorities to come looking for you because you committed a felony.So, can you do it? With a bit of preparation and some luck, yeah.Is the risk worth the reward? Not really, which is the biggest reason there’s not a lot of in-person voter fraud.

This, of course is pointless when the card is cloned with another name written on it.Yet, what you sign on the back of the card is as important as having signed it. My cards have a phrase written on the back, “Check ID” - to make sure that if my card gets stolen, the store clerk checks ID and this can prevent fraud. Hidden features, slant, penlifting, letter joining, letter formation, habits while signing, speed of signing etc.Signatures change with time as habits change , speed of writing increases but the hidden features above mentioned remain in the person while signing.If you see your various signatures from the above angles you will realise the similarities which will be common in all if your affixed signatures. You will be satisfied.Science of handwriting is not a perfect science. Handwriting Experts only give their opion as to the identity of the person on a handwriting or handwritten signatures . They don't and can't certify identity if handwriting or handwritten signatures.So you need not worry.
