Whereas , if you are using Linux , chances are you already have the the resources pre-built into your system for Python whereas for Java , you need to work a little.Language specific features : Python has inbuilt support for ‘dictionaries’ and ‘tuples’ and half of your data structure can easily fit into these types . Java has classes for ArrayList , HashMap etc built -in for your data structure needs . While this makes Python fun to use , thing actually get complicated for larger projects in Python , whereas in Java , things seem complicated from the very beginning.External Libraries : Most of advanced functionality that you will ever need to have in your software will actually require you to use external libraries , i.e , libraries that do not come pre-bundled in the language . Having said that , I must mention that Hadoop is primarily written in Java .Writing desktop software and web -based software : Python feels easier to write GUI - based software and if you want to write a backend system , again Python (with Django) will seem easier than JavaEE.Writing native mobile apps: Well , if you want to write iPhone apps , you will have to write in Swift , while for Anroid its Java or Kotlin .Functional Programming v/s Object Oriented Programming (OOP) : Though both languages are actually OOP , but with Python has a lot more support for Functional Programming paradigm too.
