There’s only one problem….those 18 complaints doesn’t mean he only had 18 problems in the past. Cops don’t like cops getting compliants. It’s been a problem in police departments across the US for a very long time.Cops take care of cops. The whole idea of you being able to file a complaint against an officer is only hearsay. And the idea that a department will act on a compliant is dreaming. All the cards are stacked against the ordinary citizen.Various news agencies have been conducting undercover investigations on what happens if you go into a police station and ask for a complaint form to fill out. Some will throw you in jail for acting suspicious and others will threaten you. Here’s one of the undercover news on it…

No, its not legal to shoot down a drone even if its below the minimum of 500′-0″ airspace restrictions above rural areas and structures or 1,000–0″ above densely populated areas, see FAA’s complaint form below.However, drones are part of a different section of FAA regulations which gives no guidance or restrictions other than without clearance you cannot operate over 400′–0″.There have been cases of individuals shooting down drones flying above their property and some of those people have been arrested, but I believe all of those charges have been dropped.In general despite my personal opinion I wouldn’t advise shooting down drones, you can make a complaint to your local police department and if you suspect it is flying too high to the FAA. You can't find a “complaint form” because they don't exist. And all the answers about showing up at the Department with a lawyer is a bunch of nonsense as well. Unless you are making some allegation of a criminal nature against a cop, your lawyer is going to laugh himself hoarse all the way to the bank. A complaint over officer behavior or how he/she handled or didn't handle a call isn't a crime and therefore a lawyer has absolutely no jurisdiction there. The only people who have authority over that officer's behavior for non criminal conduct is the chain of command.If you want to file a complaint, don't waste everyone's time acting like an idiot, showing up at a department demanding satisfaction. Just call the non emergency number and ask to talk to the acting shift supervisor.Believe it or not it's that easy. The supervisor takes the information and starts an investigation. If you listen to half the answers on here you're going to look like a crazy person and anything valid you have to say will immediately be tainted.
