This is one of the first emails I sent to administration after a field trip but unfortunately my daughter's pain had begun way before this particular incident. After cruel taunts and bullying she began self harming. While there I noticed a few things as well as heard some things that are a little bothersome. I had mentioned to you that Ireland told me Friday that everybody in her specials class hates her. Of course being that age can get a little rough, especially with peer relations. What concerns me is I actually had 3 seperate kids approach me and ask if I was Irelands mom & of course I responded yes and that is when I was told by the 3 individuals (at seperate times) that "everybody" "hates" her. Now Ireland talks about Samantha very much and in a positive way. She was the only "friend" I saw interact with Ireland. At one point a boy named Patrick made a point to tell Ireland how "ugly" she was, with me sitting right next to her. This is very hard for a parent because I am in no position to step in except to tell my daughter to ignore him. We all know that is easier said than done. Samantha approached us and started talking and asked me why Irelands face is like it is? I explained that its a nervous "motor" tik and we are trying to get it resolved. Thats when Samantha told me thats why everybody "hates" her. By the end of the trip, Ireland got to listen to 3 different children walk up to me, ask if I was her mother and then tell me how much she is hated. When it came time to leave, Ireland didnt want to ride the bus back to school and started to get upset. She just wanted to come home. It was very hard for me to put her on that bus after hearing what I had heard. Personally, I wanted to bring her home at that point. After today I am starting to put pieces together and I am thinking that Irelands "stomach aches" are her way of getting out of specials and she is also starting to act sick every morning wanting to stay home. Tomorrow, 05-06-15, Ireland will not be at school. She has a Dr Appt to get her face treated and hopefully taken care of. She will be back Thursday morning. I am going to say that I am thankful Samantha is as nice as she is to Ireland, at least in front of me. She does make Ireland feel a little better. Another note is that I watched Alfonso get physical with Armondo when no paras or teachers were around and yank a set of headphones off Armondos head and take them away. Also, quite a few students refering to Isabella as being a liar and a thief. All of this is very disheartning and unsettling to hear coming from such young kiddos. I just wanted to let you know about the things I heard come from several students about one another today. As far as Ireland, I want this addressed. I am by no means a "happy" parent right now. The school has been very good to us and I am proud of the progress she has made. I do thank all the educators that have helped her get to where she is currently. With that being said, I contacted the priciple a week or so ago and informed her about a few kids taunting Ireland and one even punching her in the stomach. I have yet to here what the outcome of that was. Regardless, I am requesting something be done about this. If Ireland is an issue, I have let everyone know that I am a phonecall away. I am not naive or close minded and think my daughter is perfect, I am a realist. I know she has her ups and downs. That does not mean I wont address a situation like the one(s) I witnessed today, especially little kids walking up and saying how much other kids hate her. Please let me know when this has been addressed, resolved or if I need to be spoken too.RespectivelyLauren C.I witheld my daughter from school for 3 weeks, driving to the school every day to pick up her work so she would stay academically sound. Administratiin thought that “talking” to the children would fix everything. A meeting was scheduled with myself, the principal, my daughter's teacher and the counselor. Upon arriving her teacher met me outside and informed me that she had just been fired because she stood up for my daughter. I went in ready for a battle and battle I did. Attempting to intimidate me, the principal advised that she needed to return before she became truant. In the State of Oklahoma, the parent goes to jail if a child is truant and not addressed. I knew this and had my rebuttle ready.. I in turn advised the “room” that Ireland would not be returning to that environment considering this was not an isolated incident and nothing had been done in the past… Continuing on with my composed and modest self, I added that if they really felt that they needed to file truancy papers with the State to please go ahead and do so. That I had no problem standing on a corner panhandling the funds to pay the fines since I was already prepped to turn my story over to the local media and put the school system on notice. They were more concerned with the truancy laws then my daughter's ability to come to school in a safe environment and learn. After informing them that my posts to social media had already made it to the West Coast and that I would bring in the local media,, the atmosphere of the room changed real quick. I left that office protecting my daughter and certain I was going jail.I cried everyday for a long time over my daughter's experience. Going to the Dr and being told that my daughter is self harming and tearing her face up is not something I ever thought would land in her lap nor mine as a parent.. Its left scars, physical and emotional and she asks from time to time why those kids did and said what they did. I don't have all the answers but I have a general thought process of things I have told her to think about before she judges… I taught both my kids to stop and think about why a person is being mean or bullying.. Then think deeper… What causes a child to bully? We do not know and can not assume what that child may be going through themselves outside of school and at home… Children imitate what they see from their peers and their elders, what they see outside of school & things they are exposed too. I also assure them that the present situation isn't as good as it ever be and that as she ages she will see the good in people, learn to spot the negative and adjust her course accordingly.. Until then, be good to even mean people, They go through rough times too but always defend yourself no matter what. I would go to he'll and back to protect my kids from cruelty and I wouldn't change one thing that I said or did..

Yes. My first ever kiss was a passionate and a very long one.That was my first date with my ex.Background: We were classmates and used to talk a lot. I had many friends but she had only me in the class. I used to accompany her whenever she was alone. She was always alone in college and I used to accompany her for some time and go with my people.She had a field trip and requested me to come with her. I didn't go with her and she felt alone among the crowd. She kept talking to me and confessed how she miss me and want to be with me.No sooner she came to college, we spent all day talking to each other. And next day was a holiday.She asked me out for a movie and I said yes.She took care of tickets and the movie.It was “Shudd Desi Romance”Corner seats were booked. And to our surprise no one was there in our row.We watched the movie till the interval and felt very intimidated when there was Romance on screen. Soon after the interval, after sometime when song was playing, “Gulaabi”Looking at her, I held her hand and said “I'd love to kiss you” and kissed her hand.She was in silence looked at my eyes and lips and said, “Don't say it-Before she finished her statement I moved front and kissed her lips. That was my first ever kiss in my life. It was great. I closed her eyes and smooched passionately taking her into me.The kiss was so passionate, I completely wiped out the strawberry gloss on her lips with my lips and then tongue was into work. We were kissing for so long, so long until the credits were rolling and lights were on. My first kiss was the longest kiss and a very passionate one.

It was 1985 or so. I had been on a field trip with my grandfather (Opa in German), who was a biology professor at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, CA. I went with him on these field trips at least once a year. This particular trip was spent at Jawbone Pass in the Sierra Nevada range in California. We had been at our campsite for a week and a half when we made a trip to Sonora to get showers and resupply our groceries. Having accomplished this, he took me to the Golden Arches (McDonald’s) for some fast food on the way back to camp. Anyways, I am and have always been very picky about my hamburgers. Plain and dry was my usual request, although these days I do like to have bbq sauce on my sandwich. We placed our order and paid, and in exchange we were handed our order and drove away. Having gone several miles outside of town, Opa finally allowed me to open the bag and eat. The burger had Everything on it…mustard, ketchup, onions, pickles, tomatoes and cheese (I do like cheese). I asked my Opa to drive back to the “restaurant” so I could exchange the offending burger for what I actually ordered. He refused and told me to pick off the veggies and scrape off the offending sauces. I hate the smell and taste of mustard, so much that it makes me retch if I look at it for more than a few seconds. Plus, the mustard was all over the bun and meat. There was just no way I could possibly attempt to stomach that slop.So I did not get to enjoy the burger and in spite of what some people believe, I did not particularly enjoy McDonald’s fries. They are just blah to me but I did eat them and drink my soda. I have never returned to McDonald’s to eat their food. I asked for a burger with meat, cheese and a bun and they could not even get that right. I was 11 years old at the time.Fast forward to the mid-90’s: I was in college and in a rock band as a bass player. We often played shows out of town. My band mates, knowing my predisposed hatred of everything related to Ronald McDonald, would pretty much insist on stopping at McDonald’s whenever we were stopping to eat on our road trips, just to torment me. I would then walk to the nearest fast food joint (usually Taco Bell or Carl’s Jr.), get my food, and take it back to McDonald’s to eat it whilst my mates scarfed on (what I affectionately referred to as) McShite. I was given a button that even said McShite on it, with the McDonald’s logo. It was my most treasured possession for many years. I had it on my shoulder strap for my bass guitar sometimes. But I had to take it off if we played a show at a church or youth center. We did not want to offend anyone.I have not eaten at McDonald’s since that fateful day in Sonora.
