Question: Was it brave or cowardly of Tulsi Gabbard to abstain from voting on the impeachment of Trump?It was neither.It was perhaps of the best indicators that Gabbard is an incompetent politician, and that she should do the people of Hawaii a favor and vacate her office as soon as possible.Let’s review:If she’s not going to caucus with her party, then she should have voted “No”.If she didn’t believe in the evidence that was presented, she should have voted “No”.If she is seriously running for the office, then she made it clear that she’s going to take the weakest position possible on serious issues which essentially disqualifies her from obtaining that role.She cannot defend her non-decision, but it was clearly a calculated move only to help herself obtain a role in conservative media.It clearly wasn’t an indication of the feelings and desires of her constituents.Frankly, Tulsi Gabbard has spent her entire legislative career repeatedly proving that she was unprepared to be a politician at more than the local level. She seems to have been listening to her own press, and she’s clearly only interested in what she can achieve for herself after she leaves office. For her to vote in the manner that she did, simply states that she’s done a disservice to the people of Hawaii, and that she needs to end her experiment of pretending to be a legislator.It was neither brave, nor cowardly.It was inept and incompetent for someone who is running for a serious role and who wanted to be taken seriously while doing so.

Absolutely not. Here's why:1. Except for Hawaii, nowhere in the United States requires firearm registration. If the government doesn't know who has what, they cannot force confiscation.2. A house-to-house search would cost about $2,400 per household- and there's 125.82 million of those. That gets real expensive, real quick...not to mention the logistics of obtaining warrants (which generally require probable cause at least).3. And that assumes you can find law enforcement officers and/or military personnel that would be willing to do that. You see, despite what big city police chiefs say, the truth is most rank-and-file LEOs and military personnel are firm supporters of the Second Amendment.4. Those who do attempt to confiscate will get shot. A LOT. There's a good number of gun owners who really mean "I'll give up my guns, bullets first". Here’s a fun fact: if only 5% of the nation’s estimated 80 million gun owners resisted confiscation with deadly force, they would outnumber all active duty and reserve military personnel, Federal agents and local LEOs!5. Of course, the intelligent ones will simply hide their guns in a secure spot. "Damn shame, officers. I lost all my guns in a boating accident a few years back. Sure, you can search the house...IF you have a warrant"6. And you can't depend on Americans to voluntarily comply, either. After all, the compliance rate of the New York SAFE Act- which is one of the most liberal states in the Union- is less than 20%. As far as anyone can tell. Because, you know, no registration...7. Know that border with our southernmost neighbor that we can't for the life of us seem to keep illegal drugs or illegal immigrants from crossing? Why would we be able to keep guns out any better? You see, anytime a popular commodity is criminalized, it doesn't stop. It just goes underground. It did with liquor during Prohibition, it does so with illegal drugs and cheap labor now. Now remember, despite what liberals like to claim, 50% of Mexico's confiscated firearms came from inside Mexico- from corrupt police and military. And those guys will sell guns under the table to gun smugglers just as well as to cartels...
