What is a typically British dish most foreign people have not heard of?So many to choose from, but I’ve selected 2 dishes that are widely known here in the UK but almost unheard of outside our isles.British pork pie.A traditional English meat pie. Filling: chopped pork and pork fat surrounded with jellied pork stock.The jelly is added intentionally to keep the meat moist.Served and eaten at all temperatures, cold, room temperature, warm and hot but obviously not frozen.My preference would be to eat at room temperature, though eating it hot is fun, with all that melted jelly oozing out making a mess everywhere.Can be eaten as a snack or as a meal with chips, salad, picnic etc.Us Brits just love pork pies.Just when you thought pork pies can not be improved upon, I present to you “Gala pie”Some smart person decided to put a boiled egg in the middle. They go so well together.Genius.A regular pork pie is amazing enough, but to turbo charge it this way.Wow! Double amazing.2. Yorkshire pudding.Just looking at the picture, you don’t know what it is but you want to eat one right?See how much they have risen. three times the size of the cake tray.It’s a baked pudding made out of eggs, flour and milk and cooked in meat drippings for that enhanced flavour.Eaten as a starter, with nothing added except real gravy from roast meats.We even celebrate this beauty with a “National Yorkshire Pudding Day” which is first Sunday of February.….and yes, we’ve managed to improve on this too.Presenting “Toad in the hole”….We British have some weird sounding names for dishes.throw in some bangers and voila! A mega sized Yorkshire pudding with sausages. Add a splash of onion gravy and you have a complete meal in itself for a quick lunch or dinner.It’s like a Yorkshire pudding on steroids.

People may forget the movie, or the movie may be an absolute disaster, but these item songs never fail to get their share of fame and profit.Those songs are filled with a concept called “show business”. Good Lord, they take that literally. They show every curve of female body doing acrobatic aka dance with the weirdest possible lyrics. The lyrics are so dirty that one can easily forget, what the hell was happening in the movie and watch the item number with either dropping the jaw or utter disgust. And for the record it's always about what's right or wrong about female body, or comparing the body parts with some objects like glue or fruit or Xerox machine or whatever.Forget women, even men with bit self dignity would find this objectification of women body, so questionable.But, they skim money and that's all matters for movie makers. That is the reason, all the leading actresses are doing this numbers with a lot of zeros on their paycheck. These songs are on the playlist of every Indian wedding barati and festivals.So if you are one of us, who hate these song. Be a lamb, shut your receptors and mind your own business.
