Can we set up wind energy power plant?

It totally depends on the scale of your project, your legal situation in relation to your utility, the outcome of an environmental impact statement, your financial backing and loan opportunity- and of course on the wind patterns on your potential site.Lots of preplanning. Here's what I dug out from US resources (note the links are embedded)Resources and Tools for Siting Wind TurbinesWind Energy Decision TreeThe U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) have developed new tools designed to test underutilized sites and contaminated land for solar and wind energy potential. The alternative energy "decision trees" leverage NREL's knowledge of renewable energy technologies and EPA's experience in returning contaminated lands to productive use. The Wind Energy Decision Tree is a useful tool not only for projects on contaminated lands but also for general siting. The tools and a podcast on the solar and wind decision trees are now available on EPA's website.Wind Power ProspectorThe National Renewable Energy Laboratory's Wind Power Prospector is a mapping and analysis tool designed to help developers site large-scale wind farms by providing easy access to wind resource datasets and other data relevant to siting wind power projects.

Why does Donald Trump claim to not read much?

Two reasons come to mind:It plays into his narrative that “he thinks with his gut.” He thinks he has great instincts, so he doesn’t need to consider the insights and opinions of others. He has concluded (probably correctly) that his base doesn’t read much, so he’s made it quite clear that he doesn’t either. This is truly disheartening because one of the marks of an educated person is that he/she has a sense of the extent of their own ignorance. This is an important thing for everyone to possess, but for the President of the United States, who is confronted daily with issues beyond his expertise, it is crucial.A metaphor I like that touches on this is to compare gaining knowledge to clearing a circle of trees in the middle of a forest of ignorance. The more trees you clear and the bigger you make that circle, the more you see how much you still don’t really know. Most presidents are fairly intelligent and well-read and attract the best and the brightest to advise them. But with Trump we have the opposite. Just listen to him speak without a teleprompter for two minutes on any subject and it is clear that he doesn’t know much about anything - yet always claims to be the smartest man in the room.As for recruiting and keeping good people… Halfway through his first term and he has already had to replace a literal boatload of people. A partial list includes: two National Security Advisors, a Director and Deputy Director of the FBI, the Secretary of State (who reportedly called him a “fucking moron”), the Secretary of Defense, the Attorney General, the EPA Administrator, three White House Communication Directors, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, the Director of the White House National Economic Council, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the White House Press Secretary, and two Chiefs of Staff. By all accounts, he can’t keep good people because he does not treat them well and continually ignores their advice. And there have been numerous reports of his staff deliberately misleading him, or removing papers on his desk waiting for his signature, to prevent him from carrying out some of the more idiotic ideas that jump into his head. It is depressing and frightening. In the end, a good president knows what he does not know, has good people to advise him on what he needs to know, and can make informed assessments of the advice given to make good decisions. It is clear that Trump fails on all three counts. So he doesn’t have to tell me that he doesn’t read much. He makes that point very clear every time he opens his mouth.

Why is California shutting off electricity?

Ok this problem is a bit deep in it’s causes. It involves how a power grid works. It involves local environmentalist policies. It even involves Monsanto and Roundup. I will try to explain it sort of by peeling it back.On the top it is pretty simple. There were some old electrical devices used to detect line failures on high tension power lines that sparked into power rights of way last year and caused several massive fires and killed like 200+ people in 2018 fire season in California. So PG&E faced with massive liability for the fires, decided on good business grounds to shut down the power lines if fire season conditions were bad. That is the truth, but it is also so incomplete as a story because it doesn’t cover the facts well at all. In order to understand the facts, you have to go back in time over the past since 1848 at Sutter's Mill. This story is pretty deep into human behavior. As Sutter’s Mill Gold was discovered and a massive gold strike it was. This brought into California a vast population working the mines. Prior to that time the American Indians every year for thousands of years burned the forests to keep down fire. It didn’t kill the forests, it simply kept the fuel load down so that when the fires burned they actually helped the trees grow big strong and tall. It kept game going. Now had the Indians not lit fires, the lightning in the area would have done so on an irregular and very dangerous basis. Such fires would have killed the trees in big areas. So when the miners came, they used the trees for STEAM POWER. This is your renewable biomass energy in action! This isn’t new! As the steam demanded the wood the forests of California were rapidly cleared. This resulted in an ecological disaster by 1900. It was awful and the place was really messed up. Keep this in mind as it bends California’s thinking. My family was there for all of this so I know it as family history personally. I had family members alive who told me about it who were born 1880’s. Their family had lived it back to the beginning. You are at best getting 2nd hand from those who were there. The resulting situation of California was two salient things. First it had a natural fire cycle that nobody seems to know about and the ecological mess up caused overreaction by the people of California. It is what is driving the place today, this overreaction. This is why California is known to be environmentalist wackos! This is the crazy people overreacting to a disaster as it is about all they remember historically. The California Electrical Power Grid developed right out of the hydropower and water developments of the 1900 to 1930’s time frame. It was still ongoing into the 1960’s but that was more of a trend rather than cause. As such much of California’s electrical power system was designed about 100 years ago. The rest is “Patched On” more recently. The Camp Fire of 2018 was sparked off by the power lines from this 100 year old technology. The reason the power grid has not been upgraded over time is that Californians have over regulated PG&E and prevented investment in upgrades. So the decisions that cause these fires are nearly 100 years ago. The fact that the fire wasn’t prevented was about 50 years ago in cause. It was known then that the problem was there. Also about 50 years ago as a reaction to the ecological disaster of the gold mining days, California became home to the world environmentalist movement. It really makes some sense if you consider the history. Again it was an OVERREACTION. In doing this the Californians by time of the 1980’s were banning logging and stopping most of the wildfire management processes learned by much dear expense and difficulty in the 1930’s. This caused a period of growth of pretty trees that Californians loved until they became like sleeping next to a massive gas tank. The forests were going to burn not for global warming or any other reason but because the forest was a tinderbox awaiting a spark. In the 2000 to present time frame, Californians maybe for good reason became offended at roundup the herbicide which had been used to keep powerline rights of way cleared of brush. By 2018 these rights of way were a fire waiting to happen and it happened. Now PG&E is driven into bankruptcy due to the problem. The company wants to avoid the liability and so the company is shutting down power lines when they are at risk of sparking fires. Now as long as rights of way are not cleared properly this is the only rational solution. The cost of clearing rights of way without roundup was much higher. The Company regulation structure had no budget for more cost and the environmentalists simply didn’t consider this. The forest mismanagement by leaving it alone made the situation worse and worse.California in shifting away from Combustion and Nuclear Power has pressured the system to the breaking point and is unable to imagine how to fix it’s situation. If you bring up the solutions in terms of the power grid management and in California you are branded an enemy an environmental hater.Nothing could be further from the truth but it is the current thinking in California. You must realize that the pressures on the grid only get worse the way California is going. The pressures and dangers of fire only get worse as well.At the same time the people of California should get used to these blackouts and being instantly catapulted back into the stone age with the flip of a switch. Modern Cities do not run without electricity and lot’s of it. With wind and solar power, the problems will get much worse. This is not a rational course of action. But pointing it out is bound to get a lot of reactions from young people who simply have no idea that for over 2 centuries mankind has been doing everything he can to get away from the stone age economies and energy supplies that the environmentalists in their overreactions to problems are so fervently burning to go back to.In order to deal with your problems you need to realize that the cost in lives of a single day of power grid being out like California got 3 days of recently is probably 1000 dead! Your press will not tell you this! To extend the period for a week will increase the totals.I have had the experience of a week without power beginning April 27, 2011. The first day is a bit “fun” by the second day it gets tedious. By the end of the week people become desperate for food and fuel. If it went on for a month the situation is beyond awful. Medical systems fail rapidly. Communications fails in about 2 to 3 days. Fuel Supplies run out in 2 days. By a week the water supplies and sewer systems don’t work.Failed sanitation water and power inside of a month and a place like California would be back in the stone age. The deaths due to the sanitary problems alone would bloom in a month into millions sick and dying. This aversion California has to a modern power system is EVIL! People need to get over it. I am not against progressing towards better, but not at the expense of shutting down and that is what is going on.I tell people that if we shut down the modern fossil fuel system all life on this planet would probably be gone in 2 years. This is because I know the processes that would be set in motion. The energy system shutdown would result in people killing all the trees for fuel as in 1849! (California) The oceans would be fished out in months. The land animals down to the last rat and squirrel would be eaten. Crop land would be worthless without fertilizers. There is no hope down the road of the environmentalists. Those people are CRAZY. The best terms I can come up with for them comes from them.Extinction Rebellion. They will cause extinction of all life in their rebellion. It is time to quit letting the lunatics run the asylum and put sane people back in charge. To this end I want you to understand the actions of President Trump. When he took office President Trump promptly removed the environmentalist protesters and opened up the development of the oil and natural gas pipelines in the USA. This made a surplus of energy available. As of spring 2019 there developed a famine in the world. Best data so far is that nearly 20% of the world food supply was failed. This would have killed by starvation 2 Billion People. They would be dying right now. The whole world would be at war! Mass destruction of the environment would be happening but it is not because of those pipelines President Trump pushed into reality.President Trump got blamed for removing EPA E-10 and E-15 requirements and found the food supply to make up for the missing 20% of food. He saved the world from a world war and environmental disaster beyond belief by his actions. He got pasted here on Quora for doing it and environmentalists have people panicked like the world was ending because the EPA got set back a bit. When the Saudi “Twins” were attacked the whole world was on the edge of war when President Trump supplied the oil via US infrastructure and peace reigns because of the actions of President Trump in pushing in those pipelines.Dealing with reality is the only right thing to do. You need to understand when I discussed Roundup and rights of way, I was not advocating Roundup. I have reason to think it is not good. But you have to understand the consequences of actions. This utility problem in California is very old in it’s creation. It could be solved in about 2 years. But people have to understand that their decisions have consequences and they are serious. Turning off the lights is not a minor thing. It will get worse. That 3 day blackout destroyed the food supply of 2 million people. It is being replaced but in times of famine you cannot afford such to happen. To allow California’s Electrical Grid to fail and it is being actively destroyed at this time, is to inflict on the people there what are essentially the same consequences as of a Nuclear WAR.The environmentalists in groups like “Extinction Rebellion” and others are in fact prosecuting a full out war against the people of the world. It matters not if the power plants are bombed in a war or if they are shut down by protests. They are GONE! The goals of these groups involve the stated goals of destroying 7.6 Billion People at all costs. Unless you are a thousand times worse than Adolf Hitler and his final solution, wanting this is insane. If you are tempted to support what you think are good ideas you best be careful to see that they are in fact good ideas. If you don’t hate humanity, and I hope you do not, then there is much study and much work to be done to make things be set things right. First begin by sending out of your land and your life anyone who has been pushing this insanity. Then don’t overreact, just get smart and wise.
