Kind of.Let me explain.There’s a comic where space buddies Han Solo and Chewbacca blindly navigate through hyperspace and eventually crash-land on a strange, unfamiliar planet.Poor Han falls victim to a primitive, indigenous tribe of what appears to be humans. He succumbs to his fatal injuries and dies.Chewbacca runs off, scared and alone. Unable to fly away, with a Falcon too broken to ever lift off again, he finds peace and safety in the planet’s native forests, and prepares to live on without his best friend.Flash forward 126 years and an all too familiar figure stumbles across Han Solo’s remains.It’s Indiana Jones.It turns out our favorite space buddies crash-landed on Earth, the Pacific Northwest specifically. Han Solo was killed by Native Americans, and now the infamous archeologist named above is on the hunt for a big, hairy creature roaming around the local forests. They call him Sasquatch. We know him as Chewbacca.

My maternal grandfather had a nice wooden display box that I only ever saw once while he was alive. Inside of that box were enough ribbons and medals to make a generalissimo jealous. Of course, many were campaign awards - he went to Europe with Patton and served from North Africa, to Sicily, to Normandy, to Bastogne, and on into Germany, ending the war near Suhl. Along with the campaign awards, though, were a Silver Star and a Bronze Star with two oak leaf clusters.I only know what one of them is for: saving the life of one of his comrades when the ship they were being transported to an assault struck a mine and sank. His friend and comrade had shrapnel wounds, and my grandfather towed him to the beach, swimming over a mile under fire, carried him to a medic, and then joined the assault with the unit he found himself with. That, he would talk about.He would talk about life in England preparing for D-Day and how much he hated tea and warm beer. He'd talk about how friendly the 'Arabs' in North Africa were. He'd talk about how terrifying it was to link up with the Red Army at the very end of the war and how no one knew if it would be peaceful or if WWIII was going to start right then.I know from reading the combat history of his unit (58th Armored Field Artillery Battalion) that he saw very heavy combat in Sicily, at Omaha Beach, and relieving Bastogne. When I visited Omaha Beach while in college, he asked me to take a lot of pictures. When I showed them to him, he teared up, but was interested to see how things had changed. He wouldn't talk about actually fighting though.He once told me about being lost with some comrades after being overrun, near Bastogne, and stumbling across a German patrol. Everyone was too tired, too lost, and too cold to fight and they went, hurriedly, on their seperate ways.I know that his company was overrun and rendered combat ineffective a few miles from Bastogne, but he never talked about that... just that German patrol and the unspoken decision on both sides not to shoot.I was 9 or 10 when I saw his medals and of course I asked him what they were for and how he got them. It sounds cliche, but his response was that he'd gotten them doing terrible things no one should ever have to do. He did tell me about the one he got saving his friend, but he never spoke - to me, at least - about any of the others and I never saw them again until after he passed.My grandfather served with the 58th Armored Field Artillery Battalion, from its activation through to the end of the war in Europe. I have the distinction of being named after his commanding officer, a Captain Nathaniel Smith, since my parents couldn't agree on a first name for me and my father happened to be a Smith. They turned the matter over to my grandfather and... well, Nathaniel Smith I am.On the off chance that anyone familiar with the 58th reads this, my grandfather was Carl L. Love. I do not know why, but he and his achievements are curiously absent from at least one unofficial history of the battalion I have read (Hot Steel).

let’s say his lie that it wasn’t Tyrion’s dagger, is exposed, as well as his lies that he’s on Ned’s side and hasn’t already sided with the Lannisters.Ned and Catelyn would take him captive and toss him at Robert’s feet where i assume they also reveal him and Lysa killed Jon Arryn. Robert would execute Baelish and call for Lysa’s head as well. Lysa would rebel with the Vale knights so war is inevitable.without Baelish around to lead Ned to the truth, Ned quits over Daenerys and does not come back. Robert is stuck. the Vale’s in revolt and now he has to pick a new hand. there are some options but my personal pick is Tywin because Robert is just so down on life, never loved his brothers and is in major debt to the Lannisters especially now, that war has come to Westeros again.Robert’s fleet, commanded by his brother Stannis would siege the ports of the Vale to cut them off, while an army moves through and liberates everyone from the yoke of the Mad Lady.perhaps after Robert sends letters out to all the lords proclaiming Lysa to be Jon’s murderer, they abandon and arrest her, ending the war quite swiftly.Robert’s line is still not legitimate so while things have gone back to peace, Robert will still eventually be killed on a hunt by Tywin and Cersei, making Joffrey King.Stannis might have stumbled upon the truth at some point but knowing he’d be all alone against the entire rest of Westeros. Renly could also be convinced to be king but he will get shadow baby’d so its not too much of a concern. once the lannisters join with the Tyrells, Stannis will be swiftly crushed and sieged at Dragonstone.the North never left their homes so Ned’s armies would have easily dealt with Mance and taken many wildlings captive who all swear by seeing the Walkers. to investigate, Ned asks Jon about it and Jon says he saw them. Ned accepts this as truth and prepares the North for war against the dead.Daenerys is dead because Ser Barristan wasn’t dismissed when he was, as Robert lived longer. not only that but if Robert lived longer he could have reasoned that Joff is too mad to be king one day and tries to have him disinherited.eventually Joffrey will meet some gruesome end as well, and since Jaime never lost his hand, he would easily keep Tyrion from execution by fighting Gregor for him.Tommen becomes more or less unopposed King of Westeros. If Shireen survived, it may not be peace forever as there woulpd still be the fake Baratheon line, and Shireen’s legitimate Baratheon line.the Wall will not fall with Viserion not there.
