At a neutral venue, how do two teams of the same colour decide who wears their second kit?

Lets take the example of Champions League Final (to be played at Wembley this season - a neutral venue). UEFA's regulations say this -For the final, both teams may wear their home colours. However, if there is aclash, the team designated as the away team must wear alternative colours. Ifa clash still exists and the team officials are unable to agree, the UEFAadministration will decide on the colours.I guess this answers your question. The home/away team for the final is decided during the semifinal games' draw. Here is the document - Page on Uefa

Why did ICC allow West Indies players to wear "Black Lives Matter" logo on their jerseys in Test series against England but did not allow MS Dhoni to wear Balidan badge on his gloves during ICC World Cup 2019?

Racism is different issue we cannot compare this issue to MSDs issue.Skipper Jason Holder, who has voiced his support to the cause that has once again come to the forefront after the killing of American George Floyd, said in a statement on Sunday: “We believe we have a duty to show solidarity and also to help raise awareness.”First of all The logo is approved by ICC where as MSD had not saught permission for Balidan gloves.# Black lives matter is a global issue done for the larger good of the world society. One cannot be simply discriminated because of his or her colour caste or creed. This was not done alone by ICC but also by various sports clubs across the world like man city , arsenal , Frankfurt FC , Juventus , Bayern Munich etc.On the other hand in MSDs case the reason for the denial, according to the ICC, was that any individual logos or messages, except from sponsors, were not to be displayed by players "on any items of clothing or equipment". According to ICC rules, only two manufacturer identifications can be sported at the back of each glove."In addition to this, the logo also breaches the regulations in relation to what is permitted on wicket-keeper gloves," said a statement from the international cricketing body. This was not the only incident. Lots of these types have also happened in football. The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) recently refused to allow Arsenal players to wear any sign of support for Henrikh Mkhitaryan before the Europa League final match. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, an Armenian American footballer, could not participate in the game due to international politics, as the match took place at Azerbaijan. In 2014, FIFA banned players form displaying any personal slogans on T-shirts and their kit, ahead of the World Cup.So we cannot compare Racism with MSDs balidan issue. These both are totally irrelevant. One is a global issue while the other is a individual choice.Source - THE Hindu

Why is the ‘Fit and Proper’ owners test in football failing? How can it be improved?

Let me start by saying that what I’m about to sugest will never happen because the way things are now put football in the hands of the developed world rather than in all of the people around the globe. But in my opinion, ‘Fit and Proper’ owners test in football failing, because of the ludicrous excentricities of FIFA in recent years and the amount of money it involves and generates limit the access of the law through third party operators.Simply put, more money in less hands means less transparency in financial trades but in football in general and more specifically in money laundry investigations.Purely amateur football was less corrput than even the earliest form of semi professional football. And corruption is present in ALL of sports, we just see more of it in football, because its so massively present around the world.Goal line technology and VAR is a good thing but the regulations in stadium recquirements and sport attires, shoes and even footballs themselves are overtly excessive and limitating of the sport to less and less people. As an example compare the Jamaica National Team of 1998 with the Zambia National Team of 1993 in regards to sponsors and what not. And this is not a disservice to Jamaica but they compete in the Caribbean which is the second worst region in the world in regards to football soccer so Jamaica is NOBODY in world football yet they had a HUGE sponsor investment because Jamaica is a ‘‘popular’’ country.Zambia on the other hand compete in one of the toughest regions in world football but BECAUSE they are Zambia they were nobody for the rest of the world until that fateful day which will live in infamy. Now imagine if it was McDonalds or Coca Cola who had payed the plane trip of the NT for the 1993 Zambia National Team instead of their FA, the trip would’ve been much safer and probably all of those lives would’ve been saved. My point is, - get thought were it matters - to ensure the strict flow of the game but - ease up where you don’t have to - like in the size and restrictments of football venues, football kits, etc. allowing each nation to negotiate directly with the sponsors for whatever they can pay. That will take away the pressure from less developed nations to catch up and create the oportunity to distribute investment more evenly around the globe.Theorethically helping the sponsors and FIFA earn more money in the long run but less instant money in UEFA.That is the only way I see possible to combat corruption but it goes completely against the rules of the market and UEFA specially. So at least in regards to the world of sports in general operate it’s really hard. All in all, I think Infantino is doing a terrific job with what he has to work with, and corrpution has decreased and transparency has improved tremendously in just a few years under his lead. This is only guessing but I think corruption will go down and stabilize on 25% less than it’s today in the forseeable future. That’s A LOT considering what we’ve had since color TV took over football transmisions way back in 1970.
