I am working as Review Officer in High Court of Judicature at Allahabad ,Lucknow Bench since 2015.In 2015, God blessed me with 3 government jobs- Grade ‘A’ officer(Asst Manager) in NABARD, Administrative Officer in New India Assurance and Asst. Review Officer in High Court. I preferred High court over other ones because Lucknow is my hometown and who doesnt want to have a decent government job in one’s own city!! That too with parents!!Now coming to salary. My first inhand salary was 41000 in 2015 and I was very much happy with it as I had no other expenses like rent,food etc and I was blessed to live with my family.At present ,my gross salary is 75+ k per month and net in hand salary after all deductions is around 64+. And I am still very much happy with it due to same reasons.Actually going by just monetary terms ,my salary may sound less but the other values which are attached to it- like living in the home where I was born,seeing my parents daily, the satisfaction which I have felt in my parents when they see their child dressed in coat tie daily and the social respect attached with the post- has the value which no amount of money can provide.My father says “ Agar Lucknow leave karna hai to IAS bankar hi chhodo varna itni achi job wo bhi apne city main lifetime posting kismat walo ko hi milti hai” ( Translation- If you want to leave your city leave only if you qualify IAS , else getting such a good job that too in your own city as permanent posting is a matter of great luck)That’s why after I joined High Court, I skipped RBI Grade B(Manager) Mains exam 2015 as I knew when I dont have to join it then why to waste a seat of some deserving candidate.“No amount of salary can bring happiness if we are not satisfied, and even small sum of money can bring good fortunes if we are satisfied “Life is short. I consider my job a blessing as it gave me a status of gazetted officer, enabled me to contribute my bit in the process of administration of justice while ensuring that I stay in my city with my parents.😊Edit- Any doubt/query about Review Officer/RBI grade B/NABARD/General Insurance company exams can be asked on my space. Since I worked a few months for Mikhail Gorbachev in the project team that prepared his visit to Norway for the reception of the Nobel Prize, I was considered one of the “hostiles”.
