Planned to purchase a Toyota Innova Crysta.Visited a couple of dealerships for the best deal.Finalized on one dealership.The quotation apart from ex-showroom price and road tax includedExtended warrantyToyota ProtectInsuranceAccessories and some value add onsRegistration and handling chargesAll these increased my budget by over 2 lakh rs.I decided to do away with everything including insurance (as I wanted to take my personal banker)The dealership accepted everything except the insurance to be taken from outside.They did not say NO for the vehicle to be sold to me but kept on postponing the sale (they did not even take the booking amount). I understood something was fishy.Did some research.The dealership had quoted 72000rs as insurance premium (zero dep) for 18 lakhMy banker quoted 37000 rs as insurance premium (zero dep policy) for 16 lakh (they do not cover the road tax part)The dealership was quoting almost double. If not paid, vehicle will not be sold to you.I mailed the Toyota manufacturer stating the case and asking them if it is required for customers to buy the policy compulsorily from their dealership itself.Received a prompt reply from the manufacturer by the evening - They made it clear that except the vehicle price, the dealership cannot force you to pay amount.Also, by EOD, I received the call from the same dealership requesting me to come, pay the vehicle price (incl road tax) and take it. They accepted my demand to purchase insurance elsewhere.Saved almost 35k only on insurance.Dealership try to sell additional stuff especially insurance (over inflated) stating that it is compulsory.Well, it is not compulsory. If they refuse, mail the manufacturer and problem will be solved.EDIT - Some people have asked if I had compared the extra benefits provided.Yes did that - No many addons extra to be precise.IDV for my policy covers the entire ex-showroom price. IDV by the dealership covers the road tax too (about 2 lakhs)However, the price of 72k is not justified for some value adds when compared to 35k that I had paid.To be honest it would be improper to blame the dealerships completely. They spend huge amounts on infra and manpower. So, they probably sell all these with carWe all expect the dealership to luxurious, elegant, great infra, located at expensive places in the city and also treat us like royalty, each of us attended by a sales executive who provides us with undivided attention e.t.c.Our perception - if these are not provided, we tend to question the capacity of the company to service us. we must cut some slack to dealerships too.

It also permits a business to recover a license from an employee or device in the future and use it elsewhere.The program has grown to include books as well. Companies purchase licenses for digital books and push them to employee devices for distribution.LocationsApple Business Manager includes a feature called “Locations”. Businesses with multiple locations or units create Locations and divide their app and book licenses across these locations. By partitioning licenses into logical groups, an organization is able to ensure that a specified number of licenses are made available (or conversely, restricted) to a particular business unit or location.Each Location has its own VPP token, which SimpleMDM uses to gain access to the associated licenses. Organizations may link just one Location, or any number of Locations with a SimpleMDM account depending upon their needs.Store CreditA business may have a specific internal procurement process, requiring a quote, purchase order, and invoice in order to make a purchase. This process quickly becomes cumbersome when needing to buy a relatively small number of app or book licenses. Apple’s Store Credit feature provides an alternative by allowing a business to buy credits in advance, later to be redeemed for app and book licenses. This registration makes the new device serial numbers available for assignment to an MDM.With Automated Enrollment, administrators add these orders through the interface themselves. The interface provides two options: either an Apple customer number or an Apple reseller number is associated with an ABM account.Assignment By Device TypePreviously, administrators chose a default MDM Server to assign all newly-added devices. A separate section for custom apps, also referred to as VPP B2B apps, exists for easier identification.Unlike the old Apple VPP and Apple DEP portals, Apple Business Manager permits granting access to multiple administrators for an organization. Predefined roles exist with varying levels of permissions, with user classes such as “Staff”, “Device Manager”, “Content Manager”, and “People Manager”. Organizations that previously shared Apple ID credentials to access the VPP and DEP portals no longer need to.Migrating to Apple Business ManagerApple has made the migration process from the Apple VPP and Apple DEP portals to Apple Business Manager relatively painless. After signing in with an existing Apple DEP-assigned Apple ID, you are prompted to agree to the terms of service and register a company domain. The ability to easily import existing VPP accounts is also available.
