How was your IBPS PO Mains 2020 exam?

EDIT - QUALIFIED MAINS.First of all, let it be known that I wasn't into banking exams until December 2020. SSC CGL 2020 has been my target and in that pursuit, I gave the CHSL of 2018. Fortunately cleared CHSL 18 with 230/300 marks, and I've been waiting for its final result and joining. Since SSC takes ages to declare results, and IBPS released a complementary notification in November for banking exams, I thought of trying it. Filled the application. The quants was familiar to me, as it only included the arithmetic part of SSC syllabus, which I'm comfortable with. Same with English. But the puzzles in reasoning section scared me. Frustrated, I left the preparation and and focused on my CHSL 18 typing scheduled on 26th November. I went back to CGL preparation and side by side I was giving a few mocks of banking s well. Prelims went fine. Thanks to English and quants. Miscellaneous questions saved the reasoning section.Fortunately I qualified the prelims, and that acted as a confidence booster and thought of attempting the mains with optimum preparation, and making sure that it doesn't hamper my CGL preparation.Verdict:Reasoning - I was relying completely on miscellaneous questions and they were tricky, puzzles absolutely confused me. Somehow managed to attempt 14 questions.GA - I did CA of December and January only from YouTube videos. And questions were from those months mostly. Attempted 23.English- Always my saviour, attempted 35 questions. And I was not doubtful of any question here, hoping for maximum accuracy.Quants - Wasted a few minutes in calculation on a question, panicked, and messed up the paper. It was an easy one. Somehow managed to attempt questions worth 24 marks.Descriptive - Essay 256 words (work from home)Letter 154 words (Mixer grinder). Not very hopeful about the results. But the experience was worth it. If CGL plan doesn't work, I can atleast switch to SBI PO now.

What was the difficulty level of the SBI PO Mains 2019? How many questions did you attempt?

It was a bumpy ride, for sure. The order was like this-1st- Reasoning.2nd-Quants3rd-G.A.And 4th-English.Reasoning was a little tricky, if you ask me. The difficulty level of questions even the miscellaneous ones which usually are pretty doable, was time consuming. I didn't even have the time to look at the puzzle questions for even 10 secs. This is how time consuming the questions were!I mananged to do 21 over there. Picked up some tricky questions as well. My guess is atleast 9-10 questions among these 21 were worthy of carrying 2 marks. Since, SBI doesn't actually let you know the marks of questions you can never really say anything for sure. I'm just hoping for the best.Mathematics, was surprisingly doable. I've not been very crazy about this section for a good 6 months now. Basically because, last year I sat for the IBPS PO mains and that experience really messed me up!Anyway, I managed to do 15 questions from here( including one high level DI of 5 questions worth carrying 2 marks and some other miscellaneous questions).General awareness was fine for me. Questions were from last 3 months timeline. Did 25 here.Could've managed to do 5-6 more provided I had prepared from the month of july. 5–6 questions from 1st week of July were asked, which really seemed so strange to me. No questions on the current cabinet ministers, nothing from the the static portion. Some questions were really twisted. Like I remember there was this question where they mentioned the first rank holder of happiness index also who published it and why did they publish it and in the end they asked which foundation collaborated with aforementioned department in order to publish this report or something like that. I don't remember it word by word but I think this was pretty much the question.Despite all of this I managed to do 25 questions. I'm just thankful for that. Now lastly, english section was really interesting.I cannot even begin to tell how comforting I found this entire section. There were a lot of passage based questions along with one or two antonym or synonym questions and some miscellaneous questions to top it up, obviously.I attempted 34 questions here. I wanted to attempt that last question as well but I couldn't do it. It was fromone of my weakest areas and I knew the chances of that question being wrong was pretty high so I let it be.So, to sum it up, I managed to do 95 questions. I so damn hope and pray that I make it this time!Fingers crossed. :)
