In short…quite good.I secured All India Rank 106 in CS branch in my very first attempt.I am a final year student from Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology, Kolkata.Honestly, even before 6 months of the exam this result was looking very much impossible at the first attempt.Covering the syllabus along with revision and tests,with final year studies-it was looking so difficult that any rank below 350 was my initial target.Along with test series and practice, gradually the level went up along with the confidence.Few days before the examination I knew that All I had to do was to perform on that day very well…that was my only target.Exam Day: Just after the exam was over,as I had attempted almost 58–59 questions,I knew that I had a chance but initially when I checked I came to know that I had made a lot of silly mistakes when I checked with the solutions of coaching institutes based on memory based questions.Few days after exam: The response sheet came out and I saw apart from mistakes ,I even marked wrong answer after doing it correctly (I remembered that).I was devastated,I knew I messed it up as I was not sure about the other questions with sure shot answers.Rank Predictor: Then came out the rank predictors-Made easy and Gateoverflow.Initially Made easy predicted rank around 72–85.I was glad…that I did the other questions right.After 2 weeks when the rank predictor was stabilized in both the platforms I had real time rank below 110.I knew that it is going to be affected if final answer key is changed.13th March: Probably the biggest day of my life.Final answer key was out and My marks were 71.33.After few hours official result was out- AIR 106. I was happy that I did quite good but was also feeling guilty about those silly mistakes- I had made almost 3 negative marks. And along with NAT I almost lost 7–8 marks.But That was my fault only and I will miss IIT Bombay.But that's the part of life…overall I am Happy and quite Satisfied with my result.Edit : Thanks for the upvotes…I got offer from IIT Bombay but due to hostel issues…I selected IIT MadrasLooking forward to join the institute…
